Beware Convenience.

After discovering that WiFi was disrupting my sleep, and causing mood-changes, I disabled it in my home.
Coincidently, or not, this cured my insomnia, and my mood improved.

Being me, and prone to check things to see if they are actually true, as opposed to merely coincidental, I reestablished WiFi, to see what might happen.

Sure enough, before too many days had passed, my sleep is again becoming disrupted, my mood becoming less steady, and strange noises starting up inside my head.

I've again turned the WiFi off, and now connect to my network via wall-socket powerline adapters.
Soon, I expect a calming down and a return to decent sleep.

So what's going on here?
Convenience is what's going on.

For the sake of convenience, humans now subject themselves to a non-stop bombardment of radiation, without being aware of what it does to them.
Possibly it does not do anything to most people, but research shows it definitely does it to some.
While the possibility exists that those who claim to be unaffected are simply not aware enough to notice.

My wife and I have noticed every time we go shopping, among people, whether it goes well, or not, we are seriously affected by the experience.
The effect is never good.

It may be worth considering that every human place of congregation is now a source of WiFi hotspots, along with every person carrying around a WiFi connected device. Except for my wife and I, apparently.

Apart from that, once you start to investigate the notion of 'convenience', it becomes clear that mostly it is no such thing.
For every 'convenience', a host of other - usually unforeseen - problems arrive.

Beware convenience. Often it is - like so many other things - the very opposite of what it claims to be.

"Squawk!" said the crow, and then made space.
