Do you have a notebook? Pen and paper, or electronic, it doesn't matter.
A means to immediately record the mini-revelations that occur throughout the day, is of great value.
On a site like ours, a notebook provides a means for its members to remember those things that might otherwise be lost, that they may be shared here, at a later time.

No I don't. I have tried on a few occasions when I was working but I would forget I had it on me. Did not give it time to become part of the 'system'. Incredibly helpful thing, so much is lost that is worthwhile.

Remember to write down in your notebook:
"I must remember to get a notebook!"

HP gave the management of the company I worked for an organiser which I loved, I could write notes directly into it using a variation of writing and it held my calendar, to do lists and email. It synched with my PC and I got to keep it after the dot com bubble burst and I was thrown into blissful retirement.

I must remember to remember - should have been written all over my resume.

One time I went into the office as normal and around 10 I got a call asking where I was and it all fell in on me. I had booked a flight and accommodation in Melbourne with back to back meetings lined up. The CEO of Holden (Gen Motors) said he never wanted to speak to me again! That's how bad my memory is. Love it now as all my friends are coming down to my level of memory, it makes me feel less of a freak.

Retirement was the best thing that ever happened to me! 15 years of not having to bother about targets, deals, threatening management, boring people, politics and outright raging greed. Mind you the money was handy but not as handy as owning my own life.

You have a resume? I've heard tell of people that have those, whatever they are. I never did have one.
Well; you can't do everything.

I would post it for your amusement but I suspect you would find it depressing.

I suspect you are right.
On the other hand, I don't easily become depressed.
