Mine are:

Avocados (Guess what part of the US I'm from)
Kidney, northern, and pinto beans.
Chickpeas, also erroneously known as garbanzo beans in my neck of the sands.
Rice, white or brown.
Eggs, in any form but especially hard-boiled.
Chicken, in any form.
Pasta

Potatoes: I probably eat more of these than anything else. Mashed, mostly.
Eggs: boiled, poached, scrambled, fried, omelettes. Always was a big egg eater.
Fish: all kinds, all ways, in plenty.
Shellfish: as much as I can lay my hands on; my favorite food. Oh, and a bit of caviar.
Meat: mostly red, rare, less and less though, as time goes by.
Oatmeal: not crazy about it, but a reasonable staple. Every few days, for breakfast.
Vegetables: never much liked them, but my wife insists I eat a certain amount, regardless.
Fruit: every day, as a pre-breakfast meal. Citrus and berries, mostly.
Some pasta, sometimes.

We have the best diet I've ever heard of, as in best-tasting while being inclusive of just about every useful nutrient.

Diet is important. Far more so than most people ever realize.

"Squawk!" said the crow, and then made space.
