"The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return" - from 'Nature boy' as sung by Nat King Cole.

I like that, do you? Notice how it says "learn". Sometimes I take issue with that word in this sentence.

Lately something's been cooking in the back of my mind. It's difficult to explain but it goes something like this: I always knew how to advance spiritually I just did not know that I knew it. In fact I never knew it, but we're able to do it anyways.

By learning how to do it, I learned that it could not be known. What you can do, if you can, is to take action and leave everything on 'the hook'. Spiritualize.

If you're self-directed then you can do it yourself whenever you're ready.

The word "learn" has to be there, since this is a song, and it has to rhyme with "return".
But you are right, too: there's nothing to learn, only something to be remembered.
Remembering that there is nothing to remember.

Yes. To the 'rational mind', this reads like gobbledygook.
But that doesn't mean it isn't so.

I never knew that I knew, because I didn't know it.

crow, are people born with a 'rational mind'?

Absolutely not!
Adults insist on teaching their own madness to every child.
Intuition is the first victim in an ongoing series of senseless murders.

That's why you want to visit SoL. You'd never get to hear someone make something good out of the word murder anywhere else. A rational person would never do it. Even murder can be put to good use here.
