A pleasant fall afternoon found Ginny in the school's courtyard following classes, along with many other students. She'd managed to secure a stone bench to herself, but knew it was only a matter of time before she'd have company no doubt, whether a friend, her boyfriend, or just a student in search of a place to sit. For the moment though, she was alone and half the bench remained unoccupied. She sat on one end with the space in between holding a few of her schoolbooks, since she hadn't bothered to clamber all the way back up to Gryffindor tower before coming out here.
She was debating whether to get some homework done while she had some time to herself, but instead was killing time by playing around with a simple levitation charm. It was first year stuff, really, but she was lazily making a leaf dance on the wind, seeing just how precisely she could manage to control it as it twirled in the air, went shooting up and then came rocketing back down in a steep dive. After that, she had it pinwheel around in front of her, as though it were doing a cartwheel on its points. It only took a fraction of her attention, really, and the rest she reserved for people watching, as she looked past the ballet-dancing leaf out over the rest of the courtyard.
