POSITIONEmperor Aslan
(The Vessel of Superbia)
Raziel is quite heartless, sadistic, and malicious. This comes out when he attacks others in battles, physically and verbally. It is also shown that he has a cruel sarcasm and he also has the inability to see good in much of anyone. At times, Raziel can be indifferent and deliberately delays Demisia's wellbeing, as he frequently teases the family. He has put its condition in mild danger for his own amusement. Once, he responded to Demisia's damage as "terrible" but only because the book that he was reading was broken in the breakage.
Raziel often contemplates about the nature of human beings. He seems to find humans, in general, to be "difficult creatures," but he also states that their struggles and lofty goals make them "interesting." He is also intrigued about how insatiable they are as they are willing to "drag others down to get what they want, even in death".
Raziel is a bitter and complex young man, akin to a tragic character. He wanted the love of his family and the throne more than anything. But he was never given the opportunity to enjoy them due to many hindrances and nuisance. Raziel believed, or forced himself to believe, that becoming hard on his self and on Demisia will make things better for him and for the family.
FREEDOM OF THE HEAVENSRaziel's name means "Secret of God". He is granted knowledge over everything in existence. The Freedom of the Heavens entrusts him with all of the Almighty Father's secrets. Although, according to Raziel, he doesn't deserve such power and knowledge for he is nothing more than an unholy resurrected shell. Due to his death, he claims that he no longer has value in this world for he was already given his end. Rather than taking his resurrection as a blessing, he sees it as a punishment. Despite this, the Freedom of the Heavens still acts upon his name and gives him the uninvited knowledge that he doesn't want.
Raziel appears to be highly skilled in swordsmanship. He is capable of using his speed for flawless precision and to inflict lethal attacks without much effort. Raziel prefers to wield his sword with his right hand, although his dominant hand is the left. This is a habit that he developed while training under Kondo Isami, the Shinsengumi's leader, due to the fact that the said leader was right-handed and that none of the squad leaders were interested on teaching him the left-handed swordsmanship. He is quite adept at blocking and nullifying. Often times being able to disable attacks from others, even the strongest blows.
Raziel also shows that he relies mostly on hand-to-hand combat, rarely drawing his sword at all. This is because of his belief that he must only draw his sword against opponents he considers "worthy". Raziel also seems to prefer applying an "off-the-ground" method of combat, often being seen attacking opponents from aerial standpoints. One of Raziel's more noticeable traits is his tremendously skillful speed. Raziel moves at an excessively fast speed in combat, so fast that his opponents find it hard to even discern his movements at first. When seriously battling, his speed and swordsmanship enhances gravely.
In addition to his remarkable combat prowess, Raziel is also gifted with great insight and understanding of situations at hand. His intelligence is well respected by the Siege which allowed him to become the "Secret of God". With his calm and collected nature, Raziel can be highly perceptive and analytical, allowing him to easily deduce the basic idea of his opponent's skills to figure out their strengths and weaknesses.
Deimos is a sword with great prowess. It was given to him by a Shinto priest upon his birth. The priest cited that Deimos can never be held by anyone's hands aside from Raziel's. Raziel roused in the lands of Arcis Coelis with his beloved flick blade. But to his surprise, the little knife had lost its blade. Beside him was a gun and chains. This was also a surprise to him since the gun had no bullets neither did the chain have anything special with it. Unknown to him, these dull weapons have something special with them. The small knife's blade only appears when he obtains even the smallest scratch. Even a diminutive amount of cut on his skin makes the blade appear. The amount of the damage on his skin affects the size of the blade. As the wound gets deeper and the damage becomes worse, the flick blade itself slowly grows to a dagger, then into a sword. The blade is covered with grey smoke which allows Raziel to hide it when not in his hands or to detach the blade from the handle whenever he wishes in combat. The gun's bullets will never appear unless Raziel is wounded because the bullets are the emperor's blood. With this, Raziel is allowed to control the bullets however he wishes. Its directions and angles, Raziel can control them. When the bullets are implanted into an enemy's body, they release poison that destroys the enemy from his very veins. Along the bullets come the chains that approach with the direction of the bullets. In flight, the chains form blades at the tips. These blades make sure that the bullets hit their target.
The use of these weapons is not known by Raziel yet. He has yet to learn how they work and how he would use them in combat. Making the weapons rather useless for the time being.
AGERaziel was noted to be 15 years old when he was killed at Kyoto in the Ikedaya Jiken by Kondo Isami, July 8, 1864. But he was later spotted when Hiroshima was bombarded with nuclear ammo at August 6, 1945 but was noted to have changed appearance, particularly his hair color.
His current age by this time is unknown, though it is said by the Siege that he is immortal and ceased to age when he was killed. Since he is a fallen angel, his age stopped the very moment he fell on his knees in Ikedaya.
PERSONALITYRaziel is a very cold, callous, dispassionate figure, and is rather aloof, brooding, and indifferent, willing to harm both his comrades and enemies if they ever get in his way. He refers to anyone he does not find interesting as "trash" and treats them as expendable. Despite this, he is not particularly violent and will only fight when provoked or ordered by the Siege.
He claims that he does not believe in Human emotions, which he refers to as the "heart," reasoning that if his eye cannot see them, then they do not exist. For Raziel, people live their lives bound by what they accept as correct and true. That's how they define 'reality'. But what does it mean to be 'correct' or 'true'? Merely vague concepts... their 'reality' may all be a mirage. And although he considers himself to be someone who lives by his own reality as well, Raziel strives to find the real reality, the reality that was bound to be true.
His cold demeanor allows him to stay completely calm and in control in most situations, and he is not easily surprised or caught off-guard. Raziel is also highly perceptive, cunning, and analytical. During the transitions and progress that Earth underwent, he made several surprisingly accurate remarks on the Humans who confronted him even though he spent most of his years in deep slumber.
Raziel seems to be demanding as well. He would sometimes mumble demands which he expects to be heard and followed by someone, but since they're barely heard, he's left waiting. While he also prefers not to dirty his hands, Raziel is fully capable of committing truly abhorrent and inhumane actions without feeling any shred of remorse or hesitation.
Raziel is very intelligent since he dotes on studying a lot. Although he possesses a rather disheveled and childish demeanor that causes others to question his abilities, he is able to prove them wrong through his actions. He is highly observational, and was once seen piecing together a puzzle that was almost entirely colored white. He is proficient when it comes to multitasking and is also noted to be ambidextrous, playing the piano with his left hand while texting on a phone with his right.
Despite his genius abilities, Raziel has a low social knowledge and is bad at interacting with others. Raziel is distant from people because he is sensitive.
Raziel is very calm and is also rather devious, and isn't above using tactics that are barely within the law, as he values results above all else. Although a seemingly straight faced individual, Raziel will often smirk when getting something right, and does so many times while trying to battle.
APPEARANCERaziel was born in Kyoto with an American father and a Japanese mother. Japan was under attack by the Americans by that time, making his infancy a miserable story. He was noted to be a brunette with a dark shade of black threads while his eyes were piercing red orbs when he was born. When he was killed in July 8, 1864, he was noted to bear a diamond under his left eye.
Later in August 6, 1945, he was spotted in Hiroshima while it was being bombarded by nuclear ammo. His hair by that time was of emerald threads but his eyes were still deep red orbs.
At present, he has silky threads of gold. But his eyes remain red and blank. He wears casual clothing, usually a simple shirt and jeans. When at school, he takes a liking on wearing two differently colored ties. In his thrones at Arcis Coelis, he wears a sleeveless turtle-neck shirt under a leather overcoat that reaches the ground. The overcoat is also sleeveless with silver buckles. He wears two crossed belts over black jeans and arm bands that reach above his elbows down to his fingers. Deimos is rested in a sheath attached to his belt when in combat. A small cut in his right wrist is always visible whenever he is not wearing long sleeved clothing.
Raziel always wears a blank expression but often times smirks when something happens according to his liking. His eyes are always focused in a far away distance. His stature releases a dignified and proud aura, something that makes people around him admire and fear his presence.
Raziel, at times, can change his hair back into its original colour or into its emerald colour. But this is only with the permission of the Siege.
YOUR CHARACTER'S STORYRaziel was stolen by the Shinsengumi from his family but was considered as an outcast due to his unique eye color. The citizens of Kyoto saw him as a demon and feared his existence. Even the Shinsengumi is on high alerts whenever they're facing him due to the fact that he posed great threat as he grew up due to his excellent strength and abilities. He is also highly intelligent and his mind is above all others. He was distant and often isolated his self within his childhood. Because of his superiority he was killed in July 8, 1864, although there were no rational reasons. Kondo Isami, Shinsengumi's leader, stated that in order not to "endanger" the lives of the citizens of Kyoto, a demon like Raziel must be extinguished.
Later in August 6, 1945, during the World War II, he was spotted in Hiroshima while it was being bombarded by nuclear ammo. His hair by that time was of emerald threads but his eyes were still red. The Japanese were alerted by this because he was already reported to be dead 81 years ago. He was only identified by a retired soldier who was only a young boy when Raziel was killed. But the change in his appearance was gravely accepted and people dismissed it to be a different individual. The Americans later revealed him as one of the generals that were in charge of attacking Japan. He was shot to death by the Japanese soldier who saw him amidst the bombing. He had no other records aside from being a general in the American army thus, making Raziel's appearance short within the decade.
Before the rise of the Superpowers, he had silky threads of gold. But his eyes remain red. He was seen in Kabukicho at Shinjuku, Tokyo in 2001 where a man, whose father was a soldier back in the World War II, identified him as the mysterious young man who appeared amidst Hiroshima's destruction. But by that time, the story about Raziel was already blurred and faint. He was no longer a legend and the existence of his past was already erased from the people's memories.
His appearances only raged from months to a few years. Unknown to many, the Siege often puts Raziel into a deep slumber due to his sorrowful pasts. If he remains awake for too long, Raziel might find the tendencies to hurt his self. He was already self-destructive when he was a small child, so the Siege feared that Raziel might end up doing a crucial damage.
Raziel knows nothing about his new life whenever he awakens. He questioned a lot since he ceased to age the moment he was killed once. As time flew by, he learnt to simply go with the flow. As a result, he was one of the rare beings who witnessed the growth of the Earth. The Siege already knew about Raziel's existence ever since the boy was still a child and knew that there was something different about Raziel.
