Hearts Left hand

Such a beautiful scene, the moon hanging high above in the sky, casting down its radiant light down upon the city of Naito, the city forever shrouded in darkness. The silver glow reflecting almost delicately off the cobblestone pathways called a street, and off the buildings, producing a faint light which lightly illuminated the surrounding areas. Although to think that this was any substitute for the sun would be a fool to believe that, while as the city may have its own light source, that light source is only so good and the alleyways littered between buildings are covered in shadow. Lending itself to some shady dealings. Although it was hard to deny that Naito had its own appeal, even if that appeal was for bandits and the like, which was a shame for such a beautiful city. In fact if you listened closely enough you may hear the cries of agony and the pleas to stop to lull yourself to sleep. Indeed such a thing was common ground and without a surprise you could hear that very same thing at this moment. Deep within one of the before mentioned alleyways could such cries be heard as a man had found himself at the mercy of Misery. A woman aptly named who had in recent days made a name for herself for such attacks. Rumors of course followed her name, suggesting a few things, such as she was a mercenary hired to do the dirty work of the low life scum of Naito. Although most knew that wasn't true, no, anyone who could possibly know a thing or two about her would know it was far simpler than that. She enjoyed to cause pain and suffering, as it would turn out she would divulge in said things occasionally when she was bored. Other times it would be a case of someone who angered her, which left the question of this, what was the case with this guy, which was he a victim for? Whatever the case may be, it wouldn't stop the fact that he soon felt the familiar feeling of a fist slamming into the side of his head, the feeling of steel making contact with his skull from those gloves of hers. He could barely let out another groan as he soon felt himself slung to the ground. This man who was in his early thirties, dressed like a mere commoner, suggesting he didn't have much money to his name. A bloody trail flowing from both of his nostrils and separate trails pouring from his lips from where she had busted him open. Just how long has she been doing this? How long has she been torturing this still relatively young man? Weakly, he began to claw at the ground, just barely able to move himself about and look around his surroundings, the surprisingly open area between four buildings, each with a narrow pathway leading out into the streets. Looking further about he could see that a few barrels surrounded them, but other than that nothing, no help and no hope for him until she was satisfied. "Pathetic" Was all that this woman could say as she looked down upon him, an emotionless and practically lifeless look upon her face aside from that near permanent scowl she usually held. Very quickly she would step in and deliver a kick to the man's ribs, digging the point of her boot up into him. The man immediately felt the sharp pain of this and his body lifting and arching from the central point he was struck, he immediately rolling over in mid air, only land on his back on the ground, gasping for air. A faint grin crept across that face, a sickening smirk if you will as she looked down upon him, writhing in pain from the abuse she had put him through thus far, and yet she knew she still wasn't done. Taking a few steps she would once again come upon him and slowly reach down, grabbing him by the head roughly with both hands and proceed to practically rip him to his feet. Forcefully pulling him up to a vertical base, only to immediately switch the positioning of her hands, keeping him doubled over, a single grasping at the back of his neck, the other at his clothing near his lower body. She then proceeded to fling him forward, causing him to run at full speed toward the barrels int he corner of the alley way. Of course when he made contact he immediately found himself flipping over them as they were knocked over by his weight, he hitting the wall hard from this as the dull and hollowed out sounds of the empty barrels rang out loudly from the impact. "Perhaps you've learned your lesson, that one such as yourself should never believe that he can stand up to one such as myself. Your absolutely pitiful as you can now only lie there and bleed out." Misery practically scoffed in annoyance at the lack of a fight she had gotten out of him. "Hardly entertaining at all." These would be her final words before she turned on her heels and slowly began to make her way from the alleyway, approaching the narrow pathway and before too long she would halt her advance at the lip of the entrance, just long enough to take a quick look around. As much the trend with this town, the darkness of night allowed much cover for her, looking around at the numerous buildings she could see that nearly all of them had a form of light inside, most commonly candles. Although in the time that she had taken to look around, she felt something grasp at her right shoulder which seemed off. Without even looking back she almost immediately knew who it was just from the way they were holding on. Their grip was spastic, going from weak to strong almost as if their strength was surging from weakness, to further her assumption, their hand was shaky at best. Slowly turning her body around, batting the hand away, she had her assumptions confirmed as she was honestly surprised to see that man once again standing before her. He had his fists raised and clenched as if he wanted to fight, which might have interested her if it wasn't for the fact that his body was swaying from left to right from weakness, and his breathing was quite heavy. She couldn't help herself from letting out a chuckle as that grin crept upon her face once more. "You can't be serious? Have you really learned nothing? Perhaps this is your foolish pride coming out?" She questioned idly and almost insultingly with a chuckle between her words. Although the man, whether she was right or not, would further amaze her by throwing a weak punch, connecting with the right side of her face. Now this might have seemed impressive, had it not been for a decline in his strength, so much so that it had barely even moved her face from the impact. What it did however do was knock that grin off her face, although this was certainly not for the better. It was replaced with a look of shock, and then one of anger. Now as that look of anger soon surfaced, it wasn't long before she delivered a hard shot to this man's sternum with a brutal right hand which doubled him over once more, only for her to grab him by his head with her right hand. Immediately pivoting her body around, she turned to face the building next to her, walking out and dragging him along with her, only for her to throw him through the large window next to the door, the large pane glass window you commonly see in businesses. His body soon found itself flying through as glass rained down upon him, causing a few terrified cries from inside to be heard. Perhaps it was time to go, something that even the violent young woman knew to do from time to time, after all she had her fun. Casually the young woman once again turned and began to make her way away from the scene as the door to that building swung open. She would never turn once to look back as she continued to make her way down the road, looking for perhaps something else to entertain herself with. |
