Name: Modin Schneidemesser

Age: 20

Date of Birth: 12th of April

Appearance: 5'9" tall with rather pale skin. His appearance is rather rigid with smooth surfaces replaced by harshness, almost reflective of his inner self. Short, dark-grey hair covered his head, swooping over into short bangs covering his forehead. His piercingly emerald eyes are armored by wire-rimmed glasses. His face always bears a small, rough beard.

Personality: Modin is very analytical, the cynicism and slight sarcasm hidden well behind the eternally bored face and the nonexistant voice. He has a pretty negative outlook on people, though he is willing to throw himself into relationships without too much obligation - things such as family and friends don't really interest him, even though he sticks around even to pretend he has them. A slight aura of self-loathing can be found in some things he says, mostly due to having no friends during his childhood.

History: Born Shawano Village as the older Unidentical twin to Hannah Scarlett Schneidemesser. When he was still a baby, Hannah was sent to live with her two cousins and uncle in Dohma. Modin, meanwhile, stayed in Shawano with their father Raj and mother Theresa. Raj being a military man of two katana, already planned a future for Modin where he would also be a katana master, or at least attempt it. Modin never spoke, but as the complications were discovered during his birth it was understandable, and as his father was too busy with mastery of the sword, his mother took up sign language and soon perfected it, teaching it to him as a primary method of communication and relaying his thoughts to Raj. He was kept in the dark about having a sister until the age of eight when they met for the second time in their life. While he didn't really trust her, he figured that she's chill enough to hang around with, even if she had devious intentions. When she left, however, he turned to his trinketry, upgrading his father's katana what were left in his possession as a part of his rather ambitious project "Heaven Slicing Mega Blade Collection" - while simply a childish fantasy, they did become rather useful in terms of utility, at least the two that he made to date. While learning combat, he soon discovered that he easily beat most opponents - some blamed his skill, others that he cheated, but after numerous inquiries it was discovered that he was a Chevyo - x-ray scans to prove the toughness of his bones as well as accounts of his superhuman feats piled the evidence unto him. The discrimination soon began which, while Moseph didn't care for, he did care when they started wrecking his little machines. So he promptly left the village into the wilderness, and was somewhat surprised to find his sister there, injured and on the verge of collapsing. When she did, he almost wanted to take her back, but knowing genetics she'd also be like him so instead he took her to the nearest other settlement he could find. Getting her injuries treated with some pickpocketed money, they had a chat and after they revealed each other to each other, they came to a conclusion that they cannot return and will from that point travel on the road with the little that they packed, surviving together. By some turns of events, they even entered an intimate romantic relationship.

Strengths: Beyond his Cheveyo gifts, Modin posesses a great skill of trinketry - being able to build pretty useful gadgets and upgrades to things from what to most other people would seem like scrap, with enough time and resource provided. This is also aided by his rather good sight, able to pick up on slightest and simplest of things. Extensive training using katana also made him one of the best swordsmen in his military year. His Cheveyo dexterity also made him a brilliant pickpocket.

Weaknesses: Modin is a mute due to complications at birth, causing permanent damage to his vocal chords. Due to that he cannot make any sounds. His focus on simple things and preoccupation with trinketry can sometimes cause him to ignore everything else. Treating most people as equal if not slightly lower than him, he often has trouble accepting authority, which can cause all sorts of trouble. Refusing to wear armor, he relies heavily on his body's ability to take hits which often causes him injuries, from which he never really learns anyway as he decided he'll never wear armor as proper mobility is more important to him. Trained only in using a katana, he's virtually powerless without them and at any point of being disarmed he loses his fighting edge until he would reclaim then.


Weapon:

Name: Sanctus, Peccatrix

Primary Form/Function: Two 29 inch long Katana - Sanctus has a white, bandaged hilt along with a shining silver blade. Its sheathe is white with black writing going lengthwise "To bring justice to sinners" ; Peccatrix has a black, ribbon-covered hilt along with a matte, dark metallic blade. Its sheathe is black with white writing going lengthwise "To repent for my sins" (the writing doesn't mean anything because Modin just wanted it to be cool).

Secondary Form/Function: Sanctus has a built-in powerful torch in its handle - it can be used both for brightly illuminating dark areas as well as focusing the lens to a more directed light (but not in the laser section) to, for example, blind enemies in combat. Peccatrix' handle holds up to three somke bombs in it which can be dispensed at Modin's leisure and tossed to burst into thick, dark smoke.

History: Originally designed as a 7-katana set by Modin alongside Aduro, Fulmen, Brastes, Procella and Ros, Modin only made Sanctus and Peccatrix from his father's swords and was unable to obtain other suitable swords to modify. Project Heaven Slicing Mega Blade Collection is therefore a work in progress.

Okay, I like the standard build you've made this character and the way you made him a sort of tinker but I have just a slight issue with how you set up the strengths and weaknesses. While I can understand the strengths, I'd like to see something more combat related in the weakness area. All you really did is make him a bit socially awkward and unless he's going to start taking out a bunch of scrap parts in the middle of a fight and take his sweet time building something while a swarm of shades are pouncing on him, he doesn't have much of a combat related weakness.
