January 11, 1112 Dusk fell over Maliseet, and night was just around the corner. With the festival in full swing, the streets were crowded with tourists from all over the region. Tonight was the night of the famous movie award show, and even more people were out than normal. Even though visitors had stopped showing up the past few days, the festival had remained in full swing. With the various events and shows going on, the city guard left only a small force on patrol near the gate. On the main street, a young man carrying a satchel rushed towards the stables. David quickly pushed his way through the crowd, and entered the stables. I shouldn't have stayed in town this long. It's only a matter of time now. Once he had retrieved his horse, he entered onto the busy street yet again and headed towards the gate that led out of town. Now that he was on horse back, he was making good time. I really hope they were wrong, regardless of the evidence that says otherwise. He watched the crowd with mournful eyes as he passed. No one deserves what's coming. As David hit a bump in the road, his satchel flipped open and a map fell onto the street. Upon inspection, one could tell that it showed the outskirts of Maliseet with various animals drawn to represent what appeared to be an invasion force of sorts. |

Of course it wouldn't take long for a random passerby to find the lost slip of paper and who else but Wilhem being the one who found it a while later. He had taken it upon himself to patrol the streets of Maliseet a little considering the large amount of people who had entered the city some crime was sure to follow so he made sure that he would maintain order. He brought the paper close to his eyes and unfolded it to begin reading. Of course there would be something like this before I could get my militia together he complained in his mind before running off toward the front gate to alert the authorities and assist them when the time came. |

Fionn was sitting on a building watching a fat man socialize, there was always good money in Maliseet this time of year when all the stupid rich-men needed a guard to watch there ass He yawned and put a headphone into his head He debated for a minute whether or not he should listen to Daft Punk or Gorillaz He decided Kids with guns destroyed his ears as he continued to sit on the building "Damn boring fat-man, can't someone make an attempt on your life already?" He thought as he began to let the music take him Amarillo began to play |

Shelton said, "Boyce, make sure to tell the citizens in Espatia that I will return home as soon as the festivities are over." His butler, Boyce, turned and untied his horse from the pole he tied it to earlier. He replied with a nod and rode away. Shelton entered the large city and began walking the streets like he usually did in his home city of Espatia. He passed by an older looking man rushing with a piece of paper in his hand. He said to him in a loud voice, "Slow down there, don't want to kill anyone do we?" He tried to rub in his upper society and that he was of nobility so the man would actually listen to him. |

It was just another day for Joe at Maliseet. His father was busy at Nahani Village fixing up his fishing ship which was recently damaged due to a clash with some rocks and left the job of selling the fish caught from last week onto Joe. He has been to Maliseet plenty of times with his father but could never really grasp in the entirety of the place, people walk around with technology he's never seen, men and women in business suits that seem way to above his class. As a humble son of a fisherman, Joe knew his place in the markets and preferred to quickly sell his produce and get back home before a rich snob decided to pick a fight with him although he was yearning to socialize with some decent looking folk. Today was different, however, as Joe noticed the mass abundance of people walking lively throughout Maliseet. Apparently, a festival was taking place and it was a huge tourist attraction, one that Joe had no care for but obviously many people did. Joe was a bit saddened by these sights as he knew he might never see such energetic people since soon he would stop selling his family's produce and go to training to become part of the Guard. Speaking of the Guard, Joe could hardly see any soldiers guarding the city which was suspicious since there was such a mass abundance of people running rampant through the streets. There was something eerie in the air and Joe didn't like one bit of it and now wished he brought something more than his gutting knife for protection during his last sale. Sitting on what was the roof of a nearby building, Cetanwakuwa eyed the city with a weary eye. The air felt...wrong. Like a predator was about to pounce on it's prey, a sort of dread that only came across when faced with something much bigger and meaner then you. Idly playing with his dagger in his off hand, Cetan looked towards the main market from the rooftop, noting the large crowd of people and a few other individuals nearby. Seems like he wasn't the only one who had decided to take to the roofs to escape the bustle of the crowd, a few others had taken refuge in the alleyways and other getaways. Still, not worth really looking over, it was a normal day, no real reason to start something. Aside from the chill in the air, that is.

Modin was slowly walking down the street, left arm linked with Hannah as his hands were stuck out in front of him, rapidly changing shape as he was signing off to her. [It's nicer than I thought it would be] he 'said' before letting his hands drop back down, resting on the two katana by his sides. People passed the couple, casting glances at the contrast between them, with Modin being really calm and looking almost bored while walking with the girl who seemed to love him. He couldn't shake off some sort of feeling, perhaps a foreshadowing of sorts, but like many others he simply ignored it. |

Willow sat on a nearby curb, watching the crowds of people walk by. Others may have felt some paranoia, though she payed no mind to it, considering she felt like this every day of her life. It was made more difficult by the fact that she could no longer afford medication, having been suffering from withdrawal for the past few days. This festival of some sort seemed nice though, making things a bit more relaxing for herself. |

Nodding, she tugs him into a hug, "Want to go somewhere? See a movie, go to a club, find a quiet place to practice strenuous exercises? I don't mind." Finishing it with a kiss, she already starts dragging him to a stall, browsing the goods with a content look on her face, "Who do you think will win the movie thing anyway?" |

David continued on his way, his head hanging low. He tried to keep his thoughts clear of what was to come, but he couldn't help but feel a little guilty. All i have to do is tell them. Simple as that. He shook his head, frowning as the thought entered his mind. Gah, I can't do that. I have to trust their judgement on this. Besides, who would listen? A sweet aroma wafted past him, causing his stomach to growl. His head followed the scent until he spotted the source: a street-side cafe. I guess I could grab a small bite before leaving. It is a long journey after all. He tied his horse to a nearby post and entered the cafe. Even when grabbing a quick meal, there seemed to be a sense of urgency about him. |
