January 11, 1112 Dusk fell over Maliseet, and night was just around the corner. With the festival in full swing, the streets were crowded with tourists from all over the region. Tonight was the night of the famous movie award show, and even more people were out than normal. Even though visitors had stopped showing up the past few days, the festival had remained in full swing. With the various events and shows going on, the city guard left only a small force on patrol near the gate. On the main street, a young man carrying a satchel rushed towards the stables. David quickly pushed his way through the crowd, and entered the stables. I shouldn't have stayed in town this long. It's only a matter of time now. Once he had retrieved his horse, he entered onto the busy street yet again and headed towards the gate that led out of town. Now that he was on horse back, he was making good time. I really hope they were wrong, regardless of the evidence that says otherwise. He watched the crowd with mournful eyes as he passed. No one deserves what's coming. As David hit a bump in the road, his satchel flipped open and a map fell onto the street. Upon inspection, one could tell that it showed the outskirts of Maliseet with various animals drawn to represent what appeared to be an invasion force of sorts. |

And a blade came at David's throat from the man's wrist. "Don't move. Thief." Cetan said coldly, "You have something that belongs to me." |

With the knife at his throat, David froze. A bead of sweat formed on his brow as he thought of his next move. I can't let him hold me up any longer. No choice but to comply, I guess. "Check my bag, it should be on top," he answered. "But don't touch anything else!" The knife laid on top of various letters in the bag, one of which was face up. Today's date was written in big, bold letters. Closer inspection would reveal it was the warning for David to leave before "they" attacked. |

Cetan warily grabbed the bag and opened it with one hand. The other still holding a knife to David's throat. Feeling for the knife and failing, Cetan divided his attention for a brief moment to the satchel and saw the letter. Grabbing it right out of the bag, the hooded man stood up and stepped away from David, reading the letter. |

"What did I just say?" David exclaimed as the man read the letter. "Don't you know reading others' mail is illegal?" he teased. Suddenly realizing his opportunity, he scrambled to his feet to escape, closing the bag to prevent any more letters to fly out. |

"What is this?!" Cetan demanded, turning around to face David, "Why didn't you go to the guard?!" |

[I don't like any of them to be honest] Modin replied, following her to the stall. He didn't look at it for long before he heard sounds of commotion. He tapped her on the butt before gesturing [Something is happening] |

Hearing the sounds just as well, she shrugs as the stall owner becomes distracted, giving her enough time to 'liberate' an apple, turning around as she took a bite from it as quietly as possible, casually walking towards the noise of battle, "I assume you want to go fight? Seems exactly like you, rushing into things." Giggling afterwards, she makes sure he is walking with her by grabbing his arm and yanking him into her, putting her arm around his shoulders, "No hurry, the walls aren't going to get breached, unless there was like, a titan-bear. Or a Titan-Ape . Pretty much something crazy large." |

Hannah was right. The chances of the gate being breached were slim. However, there were other ways to bypass the wall... "Over there! Movement!" The guards all turned to fire on the soldier's mark, only to find nothing. "Quit chasing after shadows, Nelson!" one teased, but Nelson's eyes were fixated on the spot. "There! Again!" he shouted as he peppered a few rounds into the trees. "Damnit, Nelson! That's enough playing around!" a guard shouted as he continued to lay waste to the mutant bear below. Almost as soon as he had finished speaking, a shadow slid across the clearing and up the wall with blinding speed, pausing only to merge with Nelson's own shadow. As it vanished, his eyes lost their vigor and their irises turned a dark grey. Nelson turned around and bolted down the stairs towards the gate controls. "What the hell are you doing? Desertion is illegal, moron!" The guards shouted threats, but Nelson payed them no heed. He reached the controls and opened the gates to the city. The three guards on the ground below drew their weapons on Nelson, but were too late. With a devilish grin on his face, he put his rifle under his jaw and fired. The guards were too shocked to notice that his shadow vanished, fleeing into a nearby alleyway. With the gates open, the bear Tohopka entered the city, but with its current wounds it was slow and clumsy. Soon after it entered, several other Tohopka resembling forest creatures burst from the tree line and through the gates. The city erupted into chaos, panic spreading like a wave through the crowds. The battle had begun. |

Fionn was running towards the gate, his client had managed to escape into the inner part of the city in his carriage, so there wasn't anything preventing him from joining the fight against the creature. "Stupid thing, had to attack today" He said quietly under his breathe as he got to where the creature were, as they slashed at and consumed guards left and right. Fionn charged up Oberursel, crouched back, and launched himself at the creatures |

Cetan turned to the sounds of gunfire, "Damn." He swore, looking back towards David, he grabbed him by the collar, "Don't think you can just walk away from this." |
