Shameless Forum Rules Have a general question about the forum? Visit our Help and Support Section! Please Read the Forum Rules before posting! 1. Please be respectful of all Shameless Forum members and content of their posts. Writing hostile or insulting messages aimed at other users for their views, comments, status as a member on this site, or any other reason is not allowed. You can disagree with someone's views and still be polite about it. There will be absolutely no tolerance for bashing of our members. 2. Do not post material that is hateful or mean towards race, religion, sex, or any other offensive nature. You can debate religion and politics in the Off Topic section, but you can do so WITHOUT being mean or hateful about it. 3. Please do not bash the cast and crew, this includes the writing team and executive producers. Critiquing an actor's performance is acceptable to a degree. However saying anything about the actor's physical features, their appearance and the actor's personal life are strictly off limits. You can critique the character's wardrobe, hair and makeup, but you can't discuss an actor's facial features, height or weight and slam the actor for that. That would be considered bashing the actor and that is not allowed at all, period. 4. No baiting allowed. If your intent is to disrupt our discussions or change the mood of the board, then go elsewhere. 5. Keep discussions relevant to thread topic. Hijacking of threads will not be permitted. Trolling or spamming will not be tolerated. 6. Before creating a new thread, please check if a topic with the same subject already exists. We do not wanna end up with five different threads discussing Mickey's tank-tops, although he looks extremely good wearing them. ![]() 7. Do not make one-word posts or posts replying with just an emoticon. One-word posts are allowed in the gaming threads if the game requires only replying with one word but spamming is not allowed, not even there. 8. Instead of double posting, edit your own post. Do not double post for the sake of your forum postcount. Remember that our Admins have every right to warn a user. Our warn system has five levels. We can either increase or decrease your warn level if needed. We can block or ban you for posting for a period of time or even forever. So, do not post unhelpful or non-contributing messages. ![]() - If you get one warning, our Admins may block you for posting for an hour or two. - If you get two warnings, our Admins will block you for posting for an hour or two, or more. - If you get three warnings, our Admins will ban you for one day. - If you get four warnings, our Admins will ban you for an indefinite amount of days. - If you get five warnings, our Admins could ban you forever or at least reduce reduce your postcount to zero. With good forum behavior we can decrease your warning levels, so they are not permanent. 9. Bumping is allowed if a thread has been inactive at least for a couple days. 10. Please provide a link to all spoilers. Rumors should be identified as rumors. 11. Please keep spoilers and rumors in the respective section of our site. If you discuss spoilers in sections that say 'no spoilers', then please include spoiler tags around said spoilers. Some of our members choose to stay spoiler free. - If you are going to post large sized images, please wrap your images with a spoiler tag. When you wrap them in a spoiler tag, it will not load until you click to open the spoiler tag and thus will not slow down our forum sections and threads. It's the same when you post a bunch of pictures, or even gifs. 12. No posting or PMing of unsolicited advertisements. 13. Multiple Screen Names/Accounts are not permitted. 14. Banner size limit: 600 x 300 pixels. No more than two banners allowed in signatures. Animated banners are not allowed. If you must use animation, please limit it to your avatar. 15. Plagiarism of any kind is is strictly not allowed. It is also illegal. 16. Every forum section has their own specified rules, and they are usually the pinned topics on top of the sections. Please read all the specified forum rules before posting in the threads. 17. Please use decent grammar! We are aware that this is the internet, but we want our threads to be easy to read for everyone. 18. The rules about being nice and respectful also go for the shoutbox. If you have a problem with each other, take it to PMs or somewhere else that isn't Shameless Forum. If you have any questions about the forum or its rules, you may contact an admin, Samuli, Jessica or Anette. You can also contact us through the help page, or make a post about your issue here, If any of these rules are broken, Shameless Forum staff will judge every infraction on a case-by-case basis and alert the individual member of the decision taken. Please do not discuss your situation publicly on the forum, if anything PM a staff member. Have fun talking about anything Shameless! |
