Yeah true, the Monica stuff was awesome Season 2, and so was Sheila. The rest though was kind of meh. I don't know, it just felt very weak to me. To each their own I guess haha. |

I actually really loved season 2. Monica was of course the one that stood out the most and I agree her scenes were brilliant. The way they focused on her relationship with every kid, especially Ian was great. It was also the first time I realized just how much Frank loved her, in his own way. I also really liked the scenes with Peggy Gallagher. I realize she was messed up but I think she brought something to the table. Plus her scenes were Sheila were golden, which I agree with what everyone said about Shelia. I liked how they started to bring up growing up with Debbie and some of Carl’s lines were golden. And Ethel! I am still mad she left but I have to say her scene with Kev and the moment where Veronica broke down because of her was amazing. And I cannot get over that the end of season 2 was perfect for my couple, Fiona and Jimmy Steve. The end of season 2 for me showed them together at their best, and I believed that they both were truly there for each other. Their kiss in 2x12 is still my favorite. This was a season 2 appreciation post. |

God, it is so hard to pick a favourite! I'm torn between the first season, because I really loved the family dynamic there and the balance between comedy and drama. I loved seeing them all so young and working together and I feel like the family bond was really strong back then, in a way that's kind of weakened over the years. But I also really loved the fourth season, which added a lot of depth to Mickey's character, brought in a lot of angst with Fiona that as painful as it was to watch I am all for. Sheila's storyline in the fourth season is the only one that I recall really grating on my nerves, but the rest I either loved or at least found tolerable. Debbie and Carl got a bit more focus, which was interesting to see, and I enjoyed Lip's college storyline when it was actually focusing on the academic aspect. I still loved season 2 and 3, it was a really hard choice lol and if you asked me again tomorrow I'd probably have a different answer. Edited by Jessica, Feb 13 2015, 04:59 PM.

i've just rewatched season 1 to get through the short hiatus and i realised that i even miss those simple scenes where the whole family was just sitting in their living room, watching tv. their strong family cohesion was the reason why i fell in love with shameless at the very beginning. so now i can't decide between season 1 and season 4 because last season the actors took acting to a whole new level. |
