There were a few things I really liked, but there were also a few things that annoyed me so bad I can't really remember what I liked right now and that pretty much sums up how I felt about this episode.

I'll do a proper post when it's not 1:30 in the morning and I've watched the episode again. It's usually better the second time around anyway and I'm usually less negative and more positive and cheerful lol.

some negative rants because I need to vent

There were other things that frustrated me that I'll probably still post about anyway but I promise I'll try to focus more on the good stuff also because I did actually enjoy the episode despite how it probably sounds. I did up a list earlier of the good and the bad from this episode to help me with the post I'll do later, and the good list is waaaaaaaay longer, it's just the good stuff was so little and the bad stuff annoyed me worse so for a first impression the bad stuff is what's standing out.

Of course the title was a line said by Sammi to Frank :eyeroll: I agree, Jessica, I was over their storyline together before it even started. Sammi could probably benefit from a few nights at the hospital with Ian at this point, because wow, major issues right there.

Speaking of Ian, wow, that was painful  When Mickey curled up on the floor I felt a piece of me die. Someone look after him please : ( Fiona should offer him to stay at theirs while Ian is away so he's not all alone in that big house.

I loved Mickey calling himself Ian's boyfriend and Fiona's little smile, that's something of what I've been waiting for. More of these two together!

Svetlana raping Kevin, uggghhh.

I enjoyed Lip in this episode, I like watching him to college stuff.

Hmm, what else. Oh, and was this the end of Jimmy? Oh well, at least Fiona got some closure, I liked her 'good riddance' smile at the end. Same, girl.

Why even bring Jimmy/Steve/Jack back into Fiona's life? All it did was screw up her marriage, in its first week.....would have preferred for him to just stay gone. Wanted her to make better choices, but at least she didn't try to stash him somewhere and burn that candle at both ends............

Personally, I agree with you. On a pure storytelling level I guess it made sense to bring him back, to tie up loose ends and to finally let Fiona move on, but like I said I'm just so bored of him personally. And all his screentime this season has been "Boohoo Fiona pls take me back pls even though I had someone stalk you I love you let's run away from ALL YOUR FAMILY because that went so well all the other times I asked you that". It's been almost more annoying to me than Sammi's "Frank pls love me"

If he comes back again sometime (because really, what makes this time any more permanent than all the other times? sigh) then I hope it is on a more even playing field when it comes to Fiona. And I hope by then he's stopped being a dick.

Considering the fact that they confirmed his death on twitter, I still see no reason why it was necessary to bring him back. Sure, Fiona didn't get any closure, but she wasn't going to when they were still planning on Jimmy's character being dead either so what's the difference. I feel like they just brought him back to make him look like a bigger asshole than he actually was and all that really served to do was hurt the Jimmy x Fiona shippers and/or Jimmy fans who had gotten used to him being gone and annoy the Jimmy haters who were glad to see him go in season three and didn't want him back. The only upside to that entire storyline was the final scene with Fiona smiling after Angela said the trip to Dubai had already been cancelled, because Fiona looked like she finally felt she was getting her life on track and making the right decisions.

But I can't help feeling that it's ominous that Fiona slept with both Jimmy and Gus in the same night. Maybe it was just meant to be reflective of how she was trying to erase the guilt of what she did by going back to Gus, and to add drama when he learned about it, but I can't help wondering if the writers won't have Fiona get pregnant because sleeping with two guys around the same time can make it difficult to know who the father is. Not only would that be typical Shameless-style drama, it'd be the perfect excuse to bring Jimmy back since like Anette said, what makes this time any permanent than the other times he's disappeared? Let's be honest, the writers enjoy focusing on her love life far too much for that. Fiona did a lot of growing up while he was gone (well, supposedly, I've yet to personally see it to be honest) so maybe it's his turn. I can only hope, because I definitely don't feel like this was the end and if he's going to come back I'm going to be expecting better.

Honestly though what annoyed me more was I couldn't even get mad at Jimmy for wanting to take Fiona away from her family. It's not like she gave any indication that she gave a shit about leaving them behind. I know she does, I know she hasn't just stopped caring, but only ever showing her care about them when there's an immediate emergency and then spending the rest of her screentime with love interest #1, #2, #3, #4, and the added bonus of #5 if they make her bisexual has apparently been deemed more important.

Yeah, I definitely rolled my eyes at them bringing him back when he was already confirmed dead. And because the fans are so torn on him, it feels like half of the fanbase loves him while the other half hates him, it almost seems like they brought him back purely because of his chemistry with the cast (read: Emmy). I don't know though. I'm just glad he didn't stay that long. Though that probably just makes his return even more ridiculous, I feel bad for Jimmy fans.

Oh god, don't even mention that. Do. not. want. :cloud: I'm going to pray to TPTB that Fiona gets to live a little more and grow up a little more before she has any children of her own.

I also have to add that as far as I can remember, I haven't really teared up yet this season on the first watch, but I did now watching Mickey clutch Ian's jacket. Ow my heart.

I'm one of those fans who is always torn between loving and hating him depending on the circumstance but it does seem like he's a hit or miss character. Lots of fans love him, lots of fans hate him, but I think the fans who hate him tend to be more vocal and the fans that love him tend to stay polite and not say too much because they know people can get passionate in their dislike for him. I feel bad for them too, especially because his return just seemed like fuel for the haters and that has to be so discouraging.

Anyway, I really don't want Fiona to get pregnant either, so knock on wood. As much as she's done for her siblings, she's not ready for kids of her own yet. She needs to work on herself and hopefully Gus going away for a while will give her time to sort her priorities. ...but, let's be honest, it'll probably just up the flirting game with Sean, who I didn't mind much in the beginning but have grown to truly dislike. Something about his jealousy scenes really rubbed me wrong.

MICKEY CLUTCHING IAN'S JACKET, MY HEART COULDN'T TAKE IT. And I mean it was just there, it wasn't like he initially set out looking for something of Ian's but you know he was feeling lonely because literally everyone is gone and then there's this little reminder of what they had, of Ian living there and them being happy there and he just takes comfort from it even though that jacket should have been a painful reminder of Ian's manic behaviour. I mean, did you ever think we would get a scene like that because even after him keeping a photograph of Ian in season four I somehow still did not.

Yeah why even Jimmy back just to have him leave again after two episodes? Not that I mind, but... I guess they needed to get closure on that relationship since they sort of left it open at the end of Season 3. They did confirm his death so that should've been enough, that but I guess most people probably didn't know about that. But I'm glad Fiona realized he wasn't good for her and they could get some closure on that relationship. It was pretty annoying of Jimmy to stalk her for months, wait until she gets married to actually talk to her, then expect her to just leave with him. Not surprising that he lied about why he wasn't going to Dubai either  I'm glad Fiona found out about that too, I think she realized she definitely made the right decision  It must really suck for Jimmy fans or Fiona/Jimmy shippers, though. That must've been such a tease

I was thinking that same thing about Fiona possibly being pregnant. I really hope they don't do that. Especially now that Jimmy's gone again it would even more pointless.

ugh the scene with Fiona and Mickey visiting Ian  that was painful

Kevin and Veronica's scenes are just kind of boring to me. It feels kind of forced. I usually really like them, but I just don't really care about their storyline right now
