It was a bright and shining day within Tsuchi no Kuni. The birds were chirping, the badgers where burrowing, and Sakaru Makoto was running a mission for the good of her village. However as excited the kunoichi would have been upon receiving a mission, Makoto was unfortunately irritated beyond belief. Her mission was more along the lines of an errand rather than a legit mission issued to her by her own mother. “What mother sends her daughter on a bogus mission like this.” she mumbled to herself as she waited patiently for the workers at the bakery to load the horse pulled cart up with the cakes her mother ordered. There were bakeries in the village however her mother always wanted the best like some kind of spoiled rich kid. It was probably due to the fact she was the daughter of a noble that her mother always wanted the finest things in life. Nevertheless the bakery she had ordered from was high class and had a strong reputation among the residents of Tsuchi no Kuni. “Hey, how much longer is this going to take?” Makoto asked while walking up to the workers who were loading the cart. |

“You know, this would be a lot faster if you helped.” Between tired breaths and lifting the cakes onto the cart, the worker gave a light sigh as he finished putting down the cargo in the wooden wagon. Wiping the sweat from his brow he turned to Makoto who was standing on the side lines next to the bakery entrance. She was rather calm and seemed to ignore the response the worker had gave her. Shrugging in a lazy manner the man disregarded the young woman’s rudeness and went back to work as she continued watching the progress. The loading of the cargo continued for another ten minutes until everything was set in place on the wagon. As soon as the several workers got off of the cart, one of the men walked over to Makoto to relay their progress to the Tsuchikage’s daughter. “Alright, there are several other orders that we need to drop off in Iwa; however the Tsuchikage’s order is among the rest of the cargo labeled Special.” Pulling out a piece of documentation and writing utensil the man pushed the objects to the young woman. “Let me just get you this sign real quick and you’ll be all set.” Edited by YouLoseAgain, Aug 6 2013, 02:15 AM.

Taking her hand off her of hip and reaching out for the paper and pen, Makoto eagerly signed for the cake she was responsible for and quickly gave back the parchment to the man who then left to go talk to the driver at the reigns of the wagon. Once he was done he came back to the teenager and gave her the clear to go and escort the cart safely back to Iwagakure. Giving a rather loud and irritated grunt, she trekked forward alongside the wagon at a rather slow pace as they left the towns vicinity and exited outside the walls of the bakeries village. Once outside, Makoto continued forwarded glancing to her side every now and then to take notice of the cart beside her. She was debating on whether or not to jump into the wagon to avoid walking, however she shrugged the idea off as she came to the conclusion that it probably wouldn’t be such a good idea. Knowing her and the level of interest she had for this mission she would end up falling asleep, and knowing her luck they would be ambushed by something. Though it made her question who in the world would ambush a cart full of sweets. |

Nevertheless, the young woman kept her attention on the cart and the man driving the horse drawn vehicle. However as time passed by and as the two neared the halfway mark of their trail. The two soon found themselves in the middle of a rather narrow canyon. However as the teenager was walking, the cart quickly came to a stop alarming Makoto for the sudden action. “Hey why are you stopping?” she questioned the driver as peered over the wooden sides of the cart in order to get a look at what was going on. Taking noticed of the driver rather baffled expression, the young woman hadn’t received an answer for the man causing her to sigh in disbelief. I don’t believe this. She thought to herself as she jumped onto the chat with a chakra enhanced leap. From the heighten vantage point, she looked over towards the front of the wagon to notice several small creatures blocking the ragged trail towards Iwagakure. “They’re, badgers?” the driver responded with a rather puzzled look upon his face. |

“Badgers?” Makoto retorted with a confused expression herself. She was confused as to why badgers were blocking the route towards Iwagakure. This mission is getting weirder by the second. She thought to herself as she jumped down from the cart to walk up to the furry creatures that were blocking the path. As she neared the front of the cart, she noticed that driver gave her a look of concern, however she waved him off to let him know she would be fine. “Hey!” gaining the attention of the multiple weasels like creatures they turned towards the girl and gave the young woman a rather hostile glare. “Uh, we could just take a different path.” The driver of the cart offered to the Iwa Kunoichi; however the man could tell the young woman was going to blow him off like she had done before. “Screw that, I’ll get them to move.” Forming several hand seals, the woman brought one of her hands to her mouth and let loose a torrent of rushing water that she directed towards the herd of underground mammals. As the large volume of rushing water connected with the animals before Makoto, she was able to successful repel the creature that had blocked the path. While the water did remove the pests, there was no harm done to the animals as far as the young woman could tell, since she didn’t expel the water at full force. Jutsu Used

“Told you I’d get them to move.” As the teenager turned to reassure the cart driver, however she quickly took notice of the man’s slightly worried look. “What’s the matter with you?” she questioned. “I uh, I think all you did was pissed them off.” Hearing the man and looked over in the direction he was looking towards, Makoto noticed that a few of the badger ad recovered from the Suiton technique she had used. Angered at being attack, they four recovered creature charge forward with the largest pressing forwarded towards the girl. About the size of her body with a little more height then her, the teenager decided to deal with larger one first in hopes the other badger would retreat after she took out their leader, however she had to give the cart some direction. “Hey! Moved the cart off to the side and start making your way to the village.” |

“What about you?” the driver asked, while the woman ran towards the giant badger. “I’ll be fine!” she shouting as she pressed forward to engage the animal. As she neared her animalistic opponent she took notice that the creature was making an attempt to swipe at her. However reacting quickly, Makoto dodge out of the way and quickly responded with a swift knee strike to the animals face. “Furaingunī!” she shouted as the badger went flying backward into the stone wall of the canyon. Taking notice of the teenager’s power, the other badger stopped rushing forward and began retreating leaving their larger badger brethren. “Ha, Looks like you buddies ditched you.” she mocked the animal as it slowly recovered from the hit. Though the attack she had launched would have been strong enough to knock out a human, however her opponent was a large animal meaning she would have to try harder. Jutsu Used

As soon as the badger got up, it quickly burrowed into the ground, kicking up dust and rocks that lay in its path until it was deep underground. While thinking the animal had fled, Makoto still kept her guard up in case the creature was making an attempt to launch a surprise attack. However as a few minutes passed by the young woman was clear from any sort of ambush she though the animal was planning. Smirking and slightly stretching her arm on spot, the Genin gave a triumphant chuckle of satisfaction. She had defeated and successfully driven away the herd of and as such she was rather content with the outcome of the mission. However she soon noticed that the wagons driver was still in the same spot she had left in within the canyon’s path. “I thought I told you to go?” She inquired to the driver while making her way over to the cart. Watching as the man laughed nervously, Makoto sighed to herself while disregarding the command she had gave. The cart was safe and that was all really cared about at the moment. As she neared the cart, the kunoichi jumped onto the passage side of the wagon and sat down next to the driver while crossing her arms in a bored fashion. “Let’s go. We don’t have much further to travel anyways.” she assured the man as the two continued on their way. Edited by YouLoseAgain, Aug 6 2013, 05:12 AM.

It wasn’t very before Makoto and the wagon full of bakes goods entered into Iwagakure. Entry was relatively easy since everyone within the village recognized her face. It was something she had grown accustomed to over her years within the united village but at times it was a bit much. Nevertheless, she directed the driver over to her clan’s compound that was on the far end of the village near a vast forest that bordered their home. In truth the forest belonged to their clan and nobody was aloud on the ground of their estate aside from invited guest and Sakaru clan members. As they entered onto the ground, the driver looked around in astonishment at the vast size of property. “Sooo, you guys are rich?” the driver asked Makoto, who only shrugged in an uncaring manner. They were, however she didn’t fell like talking about it. After a few second of navigating though the grounds, they arrived before the initial estate where they saw her mother conversing with two other Sakaru Clan members. “Hey!” Jumping up from her sitting position and get off of the cart as it was still moving, Makoto greeted her mother in her usual annoyed tone of voice. “We got your cake; now give me my commission for this stupid errand.” |
