The wind gently breezed throught the Hidden Earth Village, shaking up the loose pieces of dust that lay within every crack of the village. The night was moonless and the silence was deafening. It was almost as if the whole village was sleeping, or dead. The night seemed to swallow everything up and leave it 50 shades darker. The night couldn't have been better. A person looked at the darkness and stared long and hard into it. The darkness seemed natural to them, it completed them. They were one with the night and the dark obeyed their command. The figure got into a crouching position on top of the Tsuchikage's building and smiled. Murder was in the air, and it was a long time coming. The stranger once again checked rooftops for sign of danger and found none once again. The surveying spot was good becuase if anyone were to glance at the building, all they would see was darkness and shadow. But if someone stared hard enough onto the rooftop they could almost swear that one of the shadows had eyes. Purple eyes.

The figure stopped crouching and stood at the very edge of the building and let their toes hang over the edge. It was time. Kouseki Tsubaki was ready for killing.

Tsubaki gently lifter her bandaged arms and slightly shifted her centre of gravity forward and began to feel her body fall off the edge head first. The thrill should of been exhilerating, but all Tsubaki felt was loneliness. Her senses were dead to the world and all she knew was that she would get her hands dirty tonight. Very dirty. As she neared the end of her fall, Tsubaki closed her eyes. There was a chance she might die from this next stunt but she didn't care. She could very well die at any stage now, but she had nothing left for living bar one thing, and soon that particular thing would be begging for mercy.

Moments before impact, Tsubaki opened her eyes and they flashed purple. If time was slowed down, you could see that Tsubaki twisted her body to the right, and then strike the ground with her fist, further rotating her body until her feet were now planted on the ground. Ordinarily the shock and force of the ground should of at least damaged Tsubaki's limbs. But then again she wasn't exactly ordinary. Her crystal imbued arms could take a lot of punishment and they protected her from harm. Quite possibly the only advantage to have in her condition. Wasting no time she dashed along the ground using her swift and agile figure, aiming for the top of another building. She gathered chakra in her feet and run up the sides of the wall, before grabbing the top of the building and pulling herself up the rest of the way.

Tsubaki got herself into a crouching position and looked around the village, trying to identify her target. She couldn't find it and got back onto her feet, she would have to search. A smarter individual would have scouted the position beforehand but Tsubaki's mind ran on impulse and quick decisions. So she was stuck woth the only option of searching for it. Tsubaki sprinted across rooftops and made flying jumps to reach new roofs. She was silent and efficient in her search, jumping systematically in order to cover the most ground. After a while she stopped her jumping and allowed herself a ghost of a smile. There it was. The target was only a few houses away from her. Tsubaki ran a hand into her pockets and checked her materials. She had to make sure she did this right, and if it went right, she would need everyone of the tools to make it out alive.

Tsubaki got herself into a typical pre-race stance, like the one you would see in a short distance sprint and breathed in an unwavering breath. She was practicing for this her entire life. He would pay. As quick as she could, she rocketed from her position and sprinted across the wide rooftop. When she neared the edge she rocketed herself into the air and cleared the gap between the next building with ease, she continued this until she was now on the building adjacent to her targets. The building was almost like exactly any other in the village. Fairly short, made up of some earthy material which had a few windows. Tsubaki spied a window and prepared a run up. Any other person would have thought of a new way to infiltrate the building as the window was narrow and if the jump was timed wrong they could very well end up smashing their head against the building. But Tsubaki was being driven by another force that was even greater than intellignece and reasoning, revenge.

Tsubaki ran with all her might towards the open window, as she left the previous rooftop she clasped her hands together and dove towards the window, her body on a slight curve. Her form was perfect but it seemed that her angling left something to be desired. As her body cleared the windoe, Tsubaki felt the window graze across her right arm, slicing open the bandages. As the rest of the body infiltrated the house she rolled forward quietly and took in a deep breath. She didn't even have to look at her arm to see that it was okay, if anything the wall was worse off. As she silently got to her feet she looked around the room. It was musty, old and absolutely dismal. There was minimal furnishing and it looked like it had never been cleaned. Typical. Tsubaki slowly walked towards the wall and proceeded to keep walking until she was now on the roof. She also siphoned some chakra towards her hands and began to literally crawl across the roof, with her body flattened on the roof to prevent detection. As she neared the open door she skillfully grabbed the top edge and proceeded to lift herself towards the next room. With that the door quietly closed, and for a brief second the window was illuminated, and a deep scratch could be seen on its side.

Tsubaki quickly and quietly scuttled across the roof, making sure she was always in the dark patches. She observed the floor below and saw that she was now in the main room of the house. It too was musty and dark, it was safe to say her target didn't get out much. However, what she did know was he was particularly fond of his basement, so that's where he would most likely be. She dropped from the ceiling with a quiet thump. Her senses were on full alert and she feared that the target would hear the sound. But after ten quiet moments, Tsubaki deemed it safe to continue. She silently snuck through the area and noted the room. It was bare too, almost as if nothing was living here, it was like a deserted house. It wasn't in a sad state of disrepair, it more closely felt like it was an accesspry, the room wawsn't needed for the users purpose. Considering what the target had done to Tsubaki, she wasn't suprised. She continued on through and found the stairs to the basement. They were wooden and made a slight groaning sound with each step. Tsubaki slowly and carefully made her way down, trying to keep the noise at a minimum. Soon she was at the bottom and there was a large, black and foreboding door. It stank with the smell of screams, blood and murder. Tsubaki knew it well. She casually pushed it open and got into a crouching position, it was killing time.

As the door silently swun wide Tsubaki silently rolled inside the doorway and scanned the room. It was wide, and filled with all sorts of lab equipment. There were beakers, test tubes, cylinders and all sorts of gear that Tsubaki was not familiar with. She navigated through the complex maze of science until she at last saw her target. Her eyes opened up in hate, discovery and anger. Her body and fists began to shake and she could sense her chakra boiling. Ever since she was subjected to the targets experiments her chakra was never the same. It was almost a living thing, it longed to emerge and rip the man limb from limb. As she scuttled closer she could seee that his entire body was covered up with long clothes and he was sitting on a rickerty wooden chair his body slumped over some paper work. He seemed to be asleep and Tsubaki couldn't have hoped for more. She gracefully rose to her full height and spread out her bandaged arm and let it do its work. The bandages fell to the floor, shredded by what came out from underneath them. Sharp purple crystals rose out from her skin, laying waste to anything in their way. Soon Tsubaki's arm was covered in the purple crystal and her arm resembled something like a mace, perfect for crushing the mans head. She let the hate consume her, it clouded her vision and her rational thinking, but soon it would be all over. She lifted her arm and brought it down viciously, aiming for the mans skull.

As the bladed arm connected with the mans covered head, something unexpected happened. Tsubaki's crystals broke on impact and they spiralled into the air, catching the dim light as they did. The crystals covering the bottom of her arm had been completely snapped off, leaving the underside in a pathetic state. AS her eyes widened in shock and confusion, she heard a low groaning coming from the covered man. She swiftly jumped back and recoated her arm in her signtaure crystal. The clothes-covered man gave another moan and rose a covered hand to his head. He slowly got out of his chair, almost sleepily and sighed. Tsubaki struggled to regain her senses as they went haywire. Panic blared in her mind and she was unable to move as the figure straightened up and stretched. She couldn't understand why her assassination attempt failed and how the crystals had failed her. The target stopped stretching and let out a giant yawn and casually put a hand on the back of the chair. Then, the bundle suddenly flicked their wrist and the chair was sent spinning across the room, before smashing into splinters after hitting the wall. Tsubaki's eyes wide open and yet she still couldn't accept what she was seeing. It wasn't supposed to go like this, he was supposed to die at her hands. The figure then slowly turned around and Tsubaki finally saw her target. Kouseki Chin.

Chin took one look at her in her terrified state and a smile came over his face, althoug it was pretty hard to tell. He was absolutely covered in large clothes and the only parts visible were the left half of his face due to a low lying hat. Seeing the smile only confused Tsubaki more. This man used to be the most pathetic nin in existence. He only barely passed the Chuunin exams yet here he was, standing here like it was expected that Tsubaki would be inferior to him. The very sight drove Tsubaki to a frenzy and it overcame her fear. She slowly calmed down and she too got to her full height. They may be evenly matched in height but Tsubaki knew her skill far outweighted his, this would be a slaughter. She coated her arms in jagged crystal and charged, aiming for Chin's neck.

The smile never left Chin's face as Tsubaki dashed forward. She hooked her arm in fashon of a scythe and thrust her arm out forcefully, aiming to sever his jugular artery. But things were never this simple for Tsubaki. Just as her arm made contact, the crystals broke again, jarring her shoulder and sending her back flying, slamming into a table and knocking its accessories all over the floor. Chin actually laughed at this, but it wasn't the same as before. It was a low, guttural laugh, full of pride and greed. Tsubaki moaned in pain and confusion and looked at Chin with fear, but things would only get worse. Her last assault had damaged his clothes around his neck, and underneath the folds she saw something to be scared of.

There was a blue shimmering underneath his clothes, something smooth and earthy, just like Tsubaki's purple crystal. Then it dawned on her, he had finally snapped and injected himself with the same liquid he injected into her, all those years ago. He himself had become a monster, just like her. Chin must have noticed himself as he spread out his arm and almost immediately, jagged blue crystals tore the clothes to shreds. The rest of his body followed suit, soon his entire apparel was nothing but shreds of assorted fabric and a low cut pair of light blue pants. As the clothes disappeared Tsubaki caught a glimpse of his new appearance. His entire body was covered in his ice blue crystal, bar the left half of his face. The crystal structure resembled Tsubaki's, except his looked more natural, more customised. The crystal lining was smooth, and conformed to his body, not at all like Tsubaki's irregular jutting crystals that hugged Tsubaki's body. His body was also in good condition, with evident muscle bulging from key areas. Chin had changed, and it wasn't a welcome one. As Tsubaki's eyes kept surveying Chin's body, Chin spoke in a low voice.

"So you've finally returned, my darling flower."

Tsubaki's mind couldn't comprehend this. It just wasn't possible. She... who most people considered to be fighting perfection, was being messed with by the same person who was regarded as the most sorry ninja the Earth Village had ever known. Yet here he was, standing over her like she was in her rightful place, like he was the master and she was nothing but his toy. The pride and arrogance in Chin's eyes showed that he had the utmost confidence in himself, he honestly believed that he could go toe-to-toe with her and win. Tsubaki's fists clenched at those eyes. Here she was, lying on the floor, terror and panic in her eyes, doing nothing but stroking this mans ego. Where was the proud warrior that massacered dozens of shinobi with only a single breath, where was she.

"You are suprised, aren't you? No need to be shy, I can see it in your eyes. I must say that I do feel a little stronger since our last meeting. By the way, how are you holding up my dear Tsubaki?"

As chin said these words he began to walk towards Tsubaki with slow, confident steps. Tsubaki scurried backwards and weakly threw a piece of debris at him, only to have it cut in half at blinding speed with his crysyals. As he continued to walk forward she continued her weak assault, but they all met the same fate as the first piece.

"I have heard that you are excelling in the world of ninja, it is quite a rare achievement for someone so young to be held in a high regard."

Tsubaki gave up throwing her weak assault and got on her feet. She wasn't ready for a confrontation this large, she couldn't deal with this. She got onto her feet and raced for the door, she was almost there when she heard Chin's next words.

"Especially, if that person is a monster."

Tsubaki stopped dead in her tracks. Even with her back turned to him, she was certain he was smiling that sick grin of his. A rational side of her brain told her to quickly escape, it was obviously supposed to goad her into attacking him. But that side was being consumed by white hot anger. Tsubaki's breaths were now measured, but they gave away her reaction. They were heavy and laborious.

"He, of all people, is calling me a monster? Me. A MONSTER!"

Tsubaki's enraged mind thought. Tsubaki knew that she was often called that behind her back, but to actually hear it said out loud and from the same person who made her what she was, it clicked something inside her. All the confusion and fear left her and she felt ready to fight. She didn't know how, but she would. She turned slowly to face Chin and sure enough there was a smile on his face, well Tsubaki would make sure that thould would be the first thing she would dismember from him. Her eyes flashed purple and all of her bandages fell to the floor in a tattered heap. She revealed her true form to Chin and she could sense he was pleased, afterall, this is what he wanted from the start. For a moment, all they did was stare but enough was said in that one look, no more words, just fighting. Tsubaki broke the stare and sprinted at Chin, her arm already coated in sharp jagged crystals. She jumped into the air and glided to her target,

Tsubaki flew in the air and bunched her hand into a deadly, crystal covered fist. As she neared her target she threw everything she had into that punch. It came to land on Chin's chest, and she felt a solid impact. But moments later her very own crystals shattered once again. A smile came to chin's face, but Tsubaki was ready this time, she could only be suprised so many times. Using the punch as momentum, she flipped her body over, using her swinging legs she connected with a solid kick to the only skin left on Chin's body. He howled in pain and stumbled back a few steps, leaving Tsubaki to safely jump back from his flailing body. The kick must have been spot on, as Chin's cheek had a deep blur bruise to show for it. His grin quickly turned to a scowl and he was now on the attack. With a savage cry he leapt forward swinging a spiked fist in the form of an uppercut. Tsubaki shifted her weight to the left and evaded the blow. She covered her arms in crystal and put up her hands to block the next hit. It was a brutal cross punch from the other fist. It shattered her crystals, but she defended herself from damage. However, she was a little dizzy from the blow. Chin saw this as an oppurtunity and fired a slow, devastating overhead blow. Tsubaki got her senses back and dove underneath the blow. She layered her hand again and jumped up, making a solid uppercut to Chin's exposed face. Chin was rocked back a few steps and collapsed. Tsubaki had this fight won.
