With the discovery of the eastern continent and the surprise it held, Pern has been shaken. Half the engineered clutch has hatched revealing mutations. Most disturbing of all, are the disappearances of entire Weyrs; but does it have any connection?

Currently it is the End of Summer. The weather is hot and stormy.

GOLD
Posted Image
Golds can range from a bright goldenrod to a dark, rustic gold. Demanding and vain, to motherly and regal. Golds are the Queens of the Weyr no matter what anyone will try and say. Some are more shy than others, some are aggressive and quite vain. When it comes down to it though, they all have the capacity to be a great leader if only given the right opportunity. They also have a strong compulsion over other dragons, though some estimate it is not as broadly ranged as that of a Silver.
IMPRESSIONMales - 1%, Females 99%
CLUTCHINGRises at 3 turns approximately, clutches 8-20 eggs usually.
SIZE45 - 50 Feet Feet (9 - 10 Feet at hatching)
PERCENTLess than 1%

BRONZE
Posted Image
Bronzes often range from a light golden bronze to reddish bronze, but also can come in a variety of brown or green tinges. Regal and aggressive to flirtatious and haughty. Bronze dragons are the Kings of the Weyr. Like with the Golds, they stereotypically have a regal personality. Though this usually means they are just and fair, like with some rulers, Bronzes can be aggressive and a bit evil, even.
IMPRESSIONMales - 95%, Females 5%
CHASINGChases at one turn, generally chases any color.
SIZE35-44 Feet (7 - 8.8 Feet at hatching)

BROWN
Posted Image
Browns range from tan or cream browns, they also can be mocha, reddish, or grayish brown in color. Laid back and diligent to lazy and even aggressive. Browns are the workhorses of the Weyr. Calm and stable, browns are more intelligent than their smaller blue and green siblings. They are generally a settling source of comfort within Weyrs, and even play moderator at times. Laid back, some Browns can even be called lazy. Others however, are diligent and hard workers.
IMPRESSIONMales - 80%, Females - 20%
CHASINGChases at one turn, generally chases any color (including smaller Golds).
SIZE30-37 Feet (6 - 7.4 Feet at hatching)

BLUE
Posted Image
Blues can be anywhere from soft sky blue, to the dark green blue of the ocean, to a deep plum blue. Stable and Gentle-hearted to Intelligent and Prideful. Stereotypically, Blues are stable in both presence and mind. They are a calming and influential presence for their rider. Blues are less intelligent than their Brown siblings, though they are more capable of staying on one task than their Green sisters. Blues work hard normally, though some are more lazy or even mean.
IMPRESSIONMales - 70%, Females - 30%
CHASINGChases at one turn, generally chases any smaller female.
SIZE23-32 Feet (4.6 - 6.4 Feet at hatching)
PERCENT26%

GREEN
Posted Image
Greens may have multiple shades of green on their hides and the hues can often include different yellow-greens or blue-greens. Flirtatious and narrow-minded to gentle and shy. Stereotypically, greens are incredibly flirtatious, flighty individuals. They often have the energy to accomplish multiple tasks, but only the attention to do a few. Greens are pretty versatile creatures, and if you can keep them on track they can accomplish almost any task given to them. Too many tasks or too much work given at a time may cause the green to lose interest in the task at hand. Greens are generally very empathetic, making them excellent search riders, and are often protective of the things they like.
IMPRESSIONMale or Female - 50/50
CLUTCHINGGreens rise at one turn and do not clutch.
SIZE18-25 Feet (3.6 - 5 Feet at hatching)

SILVER
Posted Image
Silvers are not well known among the new colors. However, the one current specimen Pern has is a definite middling silver that also has light silver and even black. So far they have a similar build to a Queen in that it is estimated Silvers will be large, but they are more streamlined than their larger counterparts. Aloof and dismissive to vain and aggressive. Silvers seem to be similar to Golds, yet are much more removed from their place as Leaders. They tend to have a quality of knowing everything that goes on around them and can go days without speaking or moving at all. It will be found later that like the Flames, they can breathe fire without firestone. They also have a broader control of their compulsion than Golds do, but often do not wish to use it.
IMPRESSIONUncertain, currently there is only one Silver and she impressed to a female.
CLUTCHINGYet to be determined, seems like a Queen though.
SIZEEstimated 37-43 feet

SMOKE
Posted Image
Smokes are a mixture of black and muted grays with swirls of faint red, brown or even teal. Aggressive and manipulative to cold and laid-back. Smokes can be strange creatures in that they tend to be either incredibly actively aggressive, or very passive aggressive. Most riders will agree however that all have a more primordial aspect of their nature than other dragons. Though it will be found that they cannot flame, Smokes have perfect eyesight in the dark and are planned to be used as watchdragons at night.
IMPRESSIONUncertain, seems to be equal.
CLUTCHING/CHASINGYet to be determined.
SIZEEstimated 32-38 feet

FLAME
Posted Image
Flames are the most eye-catching of the new colors with vibrant hides of bright red, orange, yellow, and rarely blue. Bold and outgoing to adventurous and fun-loving. Flames are the most active of all the new colors, constantly seeming to need to move and do something. Often they seem to be brave, with go-getter attitudes, and just a lot bit vain. Even though they are not the Queens or Kings of the Weyr, they will gladly prove that they can one-up those Shinybutts any day. It will be found later on that they can flame without the need of firestone.
IMPRESSIONUncertain, seems to be equal.
CLUTCHING/CHASINGYet to be determined.
SIZEEstimated 28-34 feet
