Development History The RGM-79C2 GM Type C "Wagtail" is a custom mobile weapon designed by Anaheim Electronics based on the outdated RGM-79C. Faced with newer, more potent mobile suits being fielded by the Principality, Anaehim took the standard MS of the Riah Republic, the RGM-79C, and made significant modifications with parts left over from abandoned next-generation machines originally developed for the Titans. The "Wagtail" has been upgraded with additional thrusters mounted in new shoulder and leg armor, indicating that the "Wagtail" has greater mobility than its RGM-79C GM Type C (Keraunos Squad) predecessor. These parts use Gundarium Gamma alloy in their armor, and they have a magnetic coating. Similarly, it received a new reactor based upon that employed in the RGM-79C1 Powered GM Kai test type, allowing it to use the beam rifle manufactured for the RX-178 Gundam Mk. II. |
