Sean, the link you used was actually for a wikipedia media page, and not the image file itself.

Here is the image gile.

The URL you used is this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:YellowLabradorLooking_new.jpg, which despite the jpg extension is actually a page about the image.

The image itself is this url: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/26/YellowLabradorLooking_new.jpg.

You can "quote" this reply without actually going through with a submit if you just want to see the bbcode used.

Another technique I have used is to "attach" image files to my post, and then go back and edit the post to use the URL for the attached images. That's a handy way to get a local image from your computer to be stored on the same server as your post, and also include into the post. Unfortunately I don't know how you can get that in one step. I use the original submit to get the images attached, and then edit in the URLs by modifying the post.

Thanks for the assistance, Chris. I will be replying to the polar bear thread. Should not be much longer. Sorry for the delay.

Cheers,

Sean
