Lucy Beale will be killed of this spring leading us to wonder how her death occurred.

What a shame they're killing of a legacy character? :( They should have killed Abi or Lauren.

Well that final scene tonight was very emotional. I'm extremely excited at what is to come.

Wow that was stunning. Adam Woodyatt obviously stood out, he was truly heartbreaking but so was Ben Hardy, Laurie Brett and Dianne Parish. I hardly ever cry at Soap Operas but this really did set me off.... hopefully more to come. :)

I felt a bit sorry for Denise as she seemed very sidelined once Jane took over.

So who do we think should come back for the funeral?

Aunty Gina-so she can take Cindy Jr back with her, she'll also reveal the full story behind Peter watching his friend drown, its time we knew all about that.

Melanie Owen-was once very close to Lucy (mainly cos she thought she was ill) she also owes Phil some money and an explanation for helping Lisa. Could be fireworks.

Martin-2nd cousin to Peter and Lucy, also needs to return to keep Sonia out of Tina's knickers.

anymore for anymore?

Was really strange seeing Libby again in the recent episode. Interesting to see if any more old faces turn u.

Tonight's one was brilliantly done, I really felt their anguish - you know the plot is a good one when you find yourself feeling sad about the death of a character that you didn't even like!!

Who the hell told Auntie Maggie do we think? None of the kids even know her! Plus would they really have arrived the next morning from Ireland? I wish my post arrived as quick as that! I think Eastenders were trying to be clever there but sadly massively failed. :(

I didn't like the way Dot was written tonight, no way should she compare Lucy to Nick and if a writer who understood Dot a little more wrote this episode then that simply wouldn't be the case. I think she was filling the role Pauline or Pat would have done if they we're still around but it failed. How I wish them two we're still on the square. :(

I like Emma Summerhays, she's a permanent character as well so it will be exciting to see her interact with the rest of the square later on. :)

Laurie, Ben, Adam and Dianne were flawless once again. :) Very good episode just a shame about Dot and the suspension of reality with Maggie Flaherty.

I'm not sure what they'll come up with for Martin not been there with him only living down the road. I'd like to see Steven back... maybe not at the funeral but just seem him put a reef down of some sort later on. Like they did with Simon Wicks at Pat's and one of the Sugden's (Robert?) at Jack up in Emmerdale.

That'll be Steven who is rather unhinged, kidnapped Ian, kept runaway Lucy away from Ian and then got Jane shot causing her to lose the ability to have kids. He'll have a gold-plated invite!

I don't think Dot was comparing Lucy to Nick, more the fact they've both lost a child. Her line when she left the house was spot on. You don't expect to bury your kids (or grand-kids) but this is Soapland where legend families are decimated.

She should have known a Nick mention would have wound Ian up. Lauren dealt with the conversation more accordingly with Peter when mentioning Bradley but quickly realising it was nothing like losing a twin.

This is why Ian can't look at Peter, he keeps seeing Lucy. I really liked the bit where Peter brought up the time he and Steven were living with Cindy abroad, the sadness he felt that Lucy wasn't with them. It mirrored, IMO, the sadness Ian felt at 2 of his kids being dragged away from him.
