As I've been watching a lot of the episodes from the 1980s on Youtube recently I thought I would do a quiz. Feel free to have a go! 1. By the end of 1984 the only original cast member left was Ken Barlow, but who was the last one of the other 11 to be seen on screen? 2. Which two characters were still living in the same house in 1990 as they did in 1980? 3.Whose party was Rita at when she heard that Len had died? 4. What was unusual about Mavis and Derek's wedding in 1984? 5. How did Alf and Audrey get together? 6. Where did Annie go on a cruise to in 1981? 7. What was the name of the free newspaper that Ken Barlow edited and later owned? 8. Who was the 'guest of honour' at the Rovers re-opening following the fire? 9. What was won by Jack Duckworth when he entered a competition in Vera's name? 10. When the demand for denim dropped what did Mike Baldwin switch to? |

4 and 10 are correct. The first question is about the original 12 characters from the 1st episode. By 1984 11 of them had left the Street, one way or another. Who was the last one that we saw on screen other than Ken? 9. No the prize was bigger than flowers. Edited by Roverman, Feb 23 2014, 02:22 PM.

1. I'm almost prepared to give you the point here as Albert was a regular cast member when he was last seen in on screen in Jan 1984 but there is someone else who was in that first episode made an appearance later that year. 2. No, the Duckworths moved into No 9 in 1983. Of the 2 people who didn't move at all during the 80s one of them is still living in that same house now in 2014. 5. No, but there is a storyline about her 'employment' by Alf shown much later on in the show that I will tell on another thread! The rest are spot on well done!
