Government-
Asgard is the center of government for the human run province. There is no legislation that affects the human race that does not go through the hands of at least one person
in Asgard. Humanity is governed by a semi-democratic council called the Galactic Senate. In addition, the Galactic Senate is allowed to elect a judicial branch, the
Judges Board.

Galactic Senate-
The Galactic Senate is responsible for the legislation that governs human life in the galaxy. The senate is composed of one representative from every human colony that is
currently recognized by the Galactic Senate. The Senate members meet in the massive Senate chamber and debate over the various issues currently plaguing the human race. Each colony is allowed only a single elected delegate, chosen by those who live there. Each member of the Senate is allowed only a single vote per issue, and no single vote
counts more than any other.

Elections-
Typically, candidates run their own elections within the colony which they desire to represent. For this to happen, the candidate's colony must have been recognized by the
Senate as a community that is self sufficient, safe for it's citizens, and must be completely independent of company. That is not to say that a company may not have a vested
interest in keeping a colony running, or have bases of operations there. What it does mean is that a colony that is entirely paid for and governed by a corporation or business,
or is in any way considered the property of a corporation or business is unable to be recognized by the Senate as a Senate Colony, and may not elect an official to the board.
This does not exclude the colony from following the laws of human controlled space, but does exclude them from having a hand in making them. Since colonies are typically small,
there is no need for an expensive campaign, and as such all attempts to raise a candidate that has received donations or monetary compensation from any source for the purpose of elevating them to the Senate, shall immediately be ejected from the Senate.

Judges Board-
Sometimes, the Senate requires a hand to enforce the laws as they have been written. For this purpose, Judges board is elected once a year, with one delegate from each of the
Seven Sectors of human space elected from that sectors branch of the Senate. These Judges are granted the authority to play judge over any crime that reaches their court, which usually affect a large part of human existence. In addition, the Board has the authority to overturn a single decision or law made by the Senate. In the event that this happens, the Board is disbanded, and the members of the disbanded Board may never again be elected to the Judges Board. The Board is meant to ensure that the laws written by the Senate are safe and agreeable to the human race, and that the Senate does acquire too much power. The Board may choose to take over any court or trial in human space.

Military-
As the Senate is very wary of starting yet another war, the Asgardian Military is seldom employed as anything more than an arm of the Police Force. In the event that a truly violent crime or Cartel operation takes place, the military may be called in to deal with the threat. Their Stella are more advanced than Police Stella, being built for combat as opposed to general purpose machinery. They are still very much not customizable, but their models will stand up to more than a normal Police Stella. They often feature specialized weaponry and equipment based on the training and skill of the pilot, and have been known to come armed for various different tasks. Since the construction of Asgard, the military has never seen use in a war of any sort, but the Senate keeps them funded, in the event of an as of yet unheard of alien attack.

Police Forces-
Most police forces in the galaxy are small forces of men and women that seek out crime wherever it may be, and attempt to suppress and punish the law violators. The Law Enforcement Officers aboard Asgard are these. Police forces are often armed with small arms, limited use energy barriers, and an electrical subdual device. These men and women are currently mainly focused on the trafficking of illegal Stella parts, due to their ability to be used as destructive weapons. However, they also deal with more mundane tasks, such as shop lifting murder, and Star Ship parking tickets. They often employ Stella in their more dangerous investigations, though these are often standard issue models designed for the Police Force, with little or no room for customizing. Police Stella can also be found roaming the streets of Asgard, defending against violent crimes and Stella based offenses.

Aurora Unit-
This is the elite law enforcement agency of the Senate. They answer only to the Judges Board and Galactic Senate, these special agents may travel anywhere, and enforce law as they see fit. Auroras are elected by the Senate and approved by the Judges. Among their many special privileges, they are the only organization in the galaxy that is legally allowed to use a illegal Stella parts in the course of their mission, so long as they use it to uphold galactic law, but their missions hardly ever require the use of such drastic measures. Not even the Galactic Military has either of this privilege.

Current Issues:
Stella Cartels-
In some parts of space, and even on the Asgard itself, certain criminal organizations enjoy the use of Stella in their original purpose as weapons. These cartels often cause
mayhem and destruction for the purposes of making money or gaining power in a region. While most of these "Cartels" are little more than gangs that use Stella for their purposes, a few of them are actually rather dangerous and very organized. They are generally also involved in Illegal Parts Trafficking, drug smuggling, and various other illegal activities.

Illegal Parts and Modifications Trafficking-
Certain Stella parts are simply not safe for human use. These parts include any part that causes physical pain to a human pilot, modifications that make use of unstable emotions,
and weaponry that is considered excessive and unnecessary. These parts are outlawed in all reaches of space, and use of one can get you placed under immediate arrest.

Galactic Exploration-
Currently, The human race has been unable to escape from the Milky Way galaxy, and desperately desires to continue searching for a planet that can house the human race. Modern Star ship technologies simply are not powerful enough to reach beyond the edge of the galaxy. Fuel is too scarce, and humans cannot currently generate enough powerful emotions without killing someone to power the shuttle beyond the edge. This has left the Senate in precarious position. Do they resort to killing and fear to generate the required emotional energy, do they spend massive amounts of money and resources on research into new technology, or do they give up their search?
