Irilik's white eyes narrow into slits as she circles in a hawk-like manner over what she believed to be the playing area. It was not every day that she visited this area. She was not much one for games, though she knew it would improve her skills - something she would be very interested in. But even so, she was in the mood for a playfight. She needed to do something to stretch her arms and legs, which were almost always tucked under her body. With an ugly screech and caw, Irilik elegantly glides down to the ground, tucking her delicate wings in after a moment. It wasn't every day that Irilik was able to tuck her wings in, but they needed a good rest. Sniffing the air, Irilik waltzes over to a body of water before lying down and crossing her thin arms. Her long tail wags and she loosk up at the air with curiosity. There was no say on when, or if anyone would come. She wouldn't have the patience to wait too long. But she would at least wait a little while. Screeching out into the wind, Irilik lays her jet black head on her wrists and gazes down into the water, waiting for an opponent. Tressek slithered as he wove his way through the water. He himself was almost like a liquid in his smooth movements. While he was certainly not quick, he was elegant and a good dancer. The Toron took much pride in his dancing, and was confident that he was the best one around. Heavenly sunbeams streamed through the silent waters, soaking Tressek's back and colorful fins. He glanced up at the surface of the water. Even though he was blind in one eye, he could see the faint form of a silhouette. Someone was near the surface. Tressek knew where he had stumbled upon, and quickly figured that this native had come for the same reason. Unless he or she was lost. Tressek smirked to himself. No, surely this native had come for a good fight. Tressek's snake-like body wriggled up to the surface, and soon his head popped out of the water into the clear, bright day. His perfect scales gleamed in the sunlight. He knew he was handsome, and his colors were rare. This was also something he took pride in. "Have you come for a fight?" Tressek snarled. He never had a soft or fuzzy feeling to him. Always cold. He chuckled a low, challenging chuckle. "If you've come to claim a victory, then I fear you may have to move along and chose someone else for a playfight." |

Irilik grunted impatiently. How long had she been waiting here? Too long to her, that was for sure. But as she stood up and stretched her wings, the silhouette of a creature swimming up from the water halted her leaving. Holding her head high, she her eyes watch as a strange creature, which seemed to be a Toron. His black body and cyan stripes were rather charming. The Eaglen had not seen such a Toron with these handsome colors. However, his species appearance itself was not one that Irilik favored at all. Quite ugly, in her opinion, compared with her sleek, clean features. When hearing the creature speak, she snapped her beak and leaned inward towards the snake-like Toron. It was almost like he thought that he, such an ugly creature could win against Irilik! How silly. How very silly, indeed. Stretching out her wings, Irilik caws in the Toron's face before speaking. "Yes, I am here to fight." Her voice was smooth in rich, and she grinned, narrowing her freakish, white eyes. "And yes, I may well find another opponent... fighting one like you would be far too easy a task for someone like me..." Her eyes casually looked down at her sharp, thin talons on her hands an feet, then waited the Toron's response. |

"Then perhaps you haven't yet met me." Tressek snorted with a grin. He flicked his tail to create waves rippling behind him. "What do you say? Dare face me, or do you wish to find someone better-suited for you?" Tressek narrowed his eyes thoughtfully. "Can you even fight with me underwater? Do you have the powers to? I must warn... I am gifted with a -sky- powerful ability." Tressek snarled to himself. When he spat out the word "sky", his head jerked slightly. Darn ticks. |

Irilik grinned evilly, and she stretched out her legs and wings. It's a pity, though - even though this Toron had handsome markings, it was sad to Irilik that he had to have such a flaw like a tick. It was also a pity that Irilik had to have a flaw too, with her stunning physique. But she wasn't going to admit it at all. She likied to pretend it wasn't there. "Hmmph. I suppose that you will just... have to do. I would have gone for a tougher opponent, but oh well. It seems like no one else is here." Flapping her wings sevedral times, she lifts her legs off the ground for just a while, hovering over the water and preparing to plummet down into the depths. She smiled at the Toron's question. She liked to brag very much about her rare abilities. "And yes - I am more than able to fight you underwater." Before going into the water, she stretched her neck. "But, before we begin... I think it is good to get to know the other. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Irilik. And you are..." |

"Tressek." The Toron introduced. He snickered and repeted, "'Just have to do'... I believe that your mind will be dramatically changed by the time we're through. You draw conclusions too quickly, I fear. This is foolish." Despite his cold feelings towards Irilik, he had to respect her special gift. He bobbed his head and added, "Although, I will admit... You have a lovely ability, Irilik. But you are about to find out what mine is. Now, I shall meet you underwater and we shall begin the playfight." Without waiting for any answer, Tressek slipped underneath the waves and slithered down and away from land to allow a great, open space for the playfight to begin. He opened his jaw and cracked it, preparing to battle Irilik. |

Irilik drew her head back and hissed. Was she just called a... fool? What an insult! She growled and then smirked. If she was offended, she needed to play, now. And she needed to win, too. Deep down, she knew that Tressek, as he introduced himself as, was right - she did often make conclusions about others very quickly, and it was often based on their looks, not so much attitude. But she was not dumb - she was the opposite of that. Nor was she a fool. She had wits. Irilik hardly smiled at Tressek's compliment to her ability. She knew that she was great - and she knew her ability was, too. She didn't need anyone to confirm that fact for her. With a growl to herself after Tressek dove under the water, Irilik hovers slightly higher and cracks her joints before plummeting down into the depths. She was more than ready to take down this Toron. Feeling the water envelope her, she stretches her beak and opens her protected, white eyes. After seeing Tressek's figure, she grins evilly and flaps her wings for extra speed. Her talons were plenty sharp, and plenty ready for fighting, Her sharp beak was ready, and she wanted to take the first moves. Swimming stealthily, Irilik attempts to swim unnoticed behind Tressek, and opens her beak, ready to attack. With a swift movement, she tries to snap down on Tressek's slender tail, and she awaits his move. |

Tressek is aware of Irilik's approach; he heard her dive into the water, and her wingflaps, while having stealthy qualities, were louder than Tressek's smooth, quiet, snake-like movements that Tressek was gifted with. He snapped his tail out of the way, but he could still feel the tip of Irilik's beak scrape it. Tressek spun around and faced Irilik head to head. The Toron hissed loudly and darted towards Irilik, jaws wide open and deadly fangs exposed. He would actually not hurt her, since this was a playfight, but hopefully he could press down on her skin and scrape it, maybe force a few feathers from her body. Tressek twisted his head so that his fangs had a better chance of hitting the Eaglen's flesh, and then he drew back and closed his jaws. He had no idea if he actually hit her - he had slid his eyes closed during the attack, and it was so quick. Tressek examined his opponent, readying for her next move and trying to see if he had done any "damage." Edited by hoknell, Jul 22 2012, 11:30 AM.

Irilik frowned. She was dissapointed that she hadn't done any more than a scrape on Tressek's tail. But that didn't matter much. She was sure to get him next time. Besides, they had only just begun -she had many chances to strike him a blow. Irilik watched as Tressek turned around, hissed, and charged her. With a screech, she tries her best to get out of the way, but the Toron's fangs managed to make a short nip on her flesh. She growls and turns around, facing her opponent. With a quick charge, she comes forth with her sharp, black talons pointed at Tressek's body. With several swipes of both of her hands and feet, she looks to see if she gave him any scratches. |

Tressek was satisfied enough with his blow to Irilik. Could have been better, in his opinion, but no complaints were coming from his mouth. It was good enough. At Irilik's charge and open talons, Tressek, like a liquid, attempts to twist his body out of the way, though he is taken by surprise when he feels sharp talons sliding down his slipperly scales. He tightens his jaws and winces before hissing again at Irilik. He could feel some throbs from her excellent blow to him. A little spice to the game, eh? Tressek thought to himself. I'm cool with that... He briefly growled a low, rumbling growl before making his next move. Tressek, with two kicks of his tail, speeds forward and opens his jaws again, exposing his fangs. He lited his lip to expose some of his gums. He tried to aim for Irilik's tail, and he soon found himself closing his jaws and yanking his head away like a cobra after making an attack. He hoped he struck her, and he looked at his opponent to see what damage he had done. |
