I have already described in my self introduction that I am twice married; having divorced. My intro states, I think, (I will not scroll back as too much scrolling affects my epilepsy), that my wife who is older than me is invalid and I am as well as being an adoring husband, her Sole Carer. Our 11yr old rescued/rehomed girl-Collie dog, girl is also a member of this 'happy band.' I will not discuss our families unless matters are raised in forums which is highly unlikely. Frank aka "Fettler." |

Hi Frank. I know what it is like being a sole carer to someone you love. It can be exhausting because you are emotionally involved as well as the physical strain. You have each other though, which is a tremendous blessing, and you know you are doing a good job to the best of your ability. What is your collie called? She is a big blessing too.

I will expand on what I have earlier said, in a factual way with no further comment or explanations from me and I do not expect, nor want a comment from anyone else. You now know, as they say, 'where I am coming from.' It was quite noticeable that no-one else has written anything in this section about their family. Am I the fool? He asks himself rhetorically. I am one of two siblings my sister is 7yrs my elder. I have two natural offspring, son and daughter: both estranged. I became stepfather to three grown up children, on my marriage to their deceased father's widow. A stepfather to her daughter who with her husband emigrated to Canada 15yrs ago. One son now estranged. Their younger brother was killed in an horrendous stationary car smash after emigrating to be near his sister 4 months previous - approx 3 years ago. My Parents both came from Poland. My sister was born there & died at the age of 9,then my mother came to Canada.I had a brother that was blind & in a wheelchair. He died at the age of 49 in 85.My mother died 1st in 74 then my father in 79. We will be married 48 years this Nov. & have one son who lives on his own & not in a relationship or married. My DH's both parents died.We looked after the mother for 23 years after his father died.He is estranged from his brother due to all the problems he caused my DH with the mother's estate. Love of my life is my 5 year old dog, Zorro. He is part bichon & shih tzu. I will get my son to post his picture as my avatar when he comes here.I tried to do but couldn't,Not too computer smart. I retired from a Bank in 1995.DH worked 10 more years. He retired from Boeing. So, not much of a family at all now. |
