I like to take pictures and about two weeks ago we had a beautiful sunset
and I noticed pink clouds in the sky.

Oceanna I have only just seen this. Beautiful picture. I have never seen pink clouds before, only red, orange, white, grey and black.

I agree, beautiful colours! I suspect Oceanna lives in a drier climate where there is often a bit of dust in the atmosphere that causes red sunsets and sunrises. I'm glad to see that others have posted pictures here so now I can post some of mine. Our favourite vacation site is the American Southwest, specifically the four corners area where Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico share a common corner. It's high desert, land of the Navajo and Utes. Most of our photos are from there.

Spider Rock at Canyon De Chelly on the Navajo Reservation

The canyon walls at this point are 800 feet high. Notice the white patch on top of the tower. The Navajo say that is where Spider Woman lives. Mothers caution their children that when they are naughty to beware of Spider Woman, she may snatch them and take them home with her.

That looks magnificent. Makes me want to walk around there.

Love the spider woman story.

That tiny little tan ribbon in the bottom of the canyon is a dirt road. A number of Navajo families still have homes in the canyon, raise their gardens, and graze their sheep and goats. The village of Chinle, Arizona is about 15 miles down canyon where it opens out into a broad valley.

It must be a wonderful experience to stand and gaze
at that amazing sight in person.
