There is a road opposite the end of ours called Butterstyle. During the Black Death there weren't many houses about this area. Where Butterstyle is now, used to be fields. There was a style at the end of the road and butter was delivered to the style where the local residents went to collect it. Nobody was allowed beyond this style, from either side. Can you tell us about a little known fact of your area? |
