People smoking in Films

Does it matter to you if a film includes characters who smoke?

Yes, it bothers me. I know actors smoked in old films because back then no one
knew the dangers of smoking.
Now we do know and I think it's a bad example to have the characters lighting up.

I thought it had been a law in UK that they could not film people smoking, but I have must have been mistaken, because you see it all the time.
