This was posted in another forum The simple kind gestures...one shopping day I seemed to have run into all the crazy people in the grocery store. The ones who bring a family of 10 to help them shop and therefore block the aisles. The ones who are talking on their cell and blocking the aisles. The ones who bring 3 year olds that are screeching so loudly they are piercing my eardrums. The cashier who cannot properly scan coupons or redeem rain checks. And then I left the store, a little grumpy. I loaded my groceries into my car and I heard a man's voice say "here young lady, I'll return that buggy for you". Zap! I was hit by a kind gesture and it saved my day! (especially the part about "young lady" LOL!) So can you relate a simple kind gesture that made you smile or feel good lately? |

I have done the same thing the man did for you Petra, I will take a cart back if I am going in. My friend and I went to lunch last summer and we go early and there was only one man in the section that we were sitting in, because I am so out going when the bill was brought, I started kidding with the waitress to give our bill to the man. Long story short, he told her to give it to him and he paid for our lunch. He stopped by our table and told us we were cheap dates!!! We were so surprised by his kindness. One time as I paid the toll on a local bridge, I paid for the person behind me, I didn't know them. |
