ELECTIONS UPDATE #1
Alright Spiritus! Here I bring the first of many updates on what is going on with our regional elections. So far only a handful of all positions up for election have candidates; these positions are Delegate, Vice Delegate, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief Justice, and Craziest Person in TSP. I'll do a quick summary of how the campaign is going on so far:
- For Delegate and Vice Delegate we have current Cabinet members and newcomers Escade and Kringalia running unopposed. They both became active during Milograd's coup in April and have become prominent voices in regional inclusion efforts. Escade has vowed to use the WFE and Mass Telegrams to promote engagement and to deepen ties and hold cultural activities with allies, counting on Kringalia's expertise in foreign affairs to deal with other regions and balance the ticket.
- For Minister of Foreign Affairs we have Horse, who is a citizen of Spiritus as well and recently was appointed TSP's ambassador to Osiris. Horse has promised to continue the work of current MoFA Kringalia while constantly applauding his tenure, but had difficulties answering a question from outgoing Delegate Belschaft as to what regions did he consider to be TSP's allies.
- For Chief Justice we have Arbiter08 and current Chief Justice QuietDad running, though none have to far published their campaign. QuietDad has nonetheless already mentioned that he has been an avid participant in the judicial reform debate and would like to see it through to a fruitful conclusion in a second term.
- For Craziest Person in TSP we have a truly competitive election between Unibot and outgoing Delegate Belschaft. Both have released their campaign platforms and sure sound equally crazy to me.
You should just check their campaigns, because words can't do them justice: Craziest Person campaign threads.

I love it too. And this time the race seems quite interesting. We have three candidates now! Wait for a second update tonight.

Coalition of The South Pacific From the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
ELECTIONS UPDATE #2
Good night Spiritus! Here is the second summary of how the campaign is doing:
- For Delegate and Vice Delegate Escade and Kringalia have been answering questions and outlining their vision for a more active TSP and to engage with other regions, saying that foreign affairs isn't all about defence but also about having good relationships and constant communications with others.
- For Chair of the Assembly incumbent Sandaoguo (Glen-Rhodes) is running, with a campaign platform based on his current record of effectiveness passing legislation, and promising to get passed in a second term the long awaited judicial reform package that it appears isn't passing in its current vote.
- For Minister of Foreign Affairs we now have two new candidates in HEM and Hileville. Both have promised to be moderate candidates and Hileville has vowed to have an open mind in talking to all regions without prejudice and continuing the administrative work of outgoing MoFA Kringalia. HEM was promised to expand the extent of TSP's foreign affairs to newer regions and to keep shorter intervals in between Foreign Updates.
- For Minister of the Army we have Southern Bellz running unopposed, with a promise to turn the NSA into a fun experience and defending allies. He also promised to help train new members and promote activity in the region through military engagements.
- For Minister of Regional Affairs Awesomiasa has been nominated and accepted, but hasn't yet released a campaign platform.
- For Chief Justice Arbiter08 has released a campaign platform mentioning how he vows to be impartial and remain unbiased during trials. QuietDad hasn't released a campaign platform yet.
- For Craziest Person in TSP things are mostly the same.

Coalition of The South Pacific From the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
ELECTIONS UPDATE #3
Good morning Spiritus! Here are the results of the December 2013 election:
- For Delegate and Vice Delegate Escade and Kringalia as foreseen have won the vote with a 94% majority. Their campaign thread featured mostly foreign affairs oriented questions, and two FA scenarios from Lord Ravenclaw for them to answer, which they did to his satisfaction. Escade has promised to focus on regional affairs and activity.
- For Chair of the Assembly incumbent Sandaoguo (Glen-Rhodes) from the election, though to the surprise of many the Re-Open Nominations (RON) got more than ten votes. Even though Sandaoguo got double the amount of votes, it shoked many who thought he would win in a landslide.
- For Minister of Foreign Affairs the race focused in frontrunners Hileville and HEM. Many thought it would be a close race, but eventually Hileville garnered a solid 72% with promises to mend strained relations with other regions. His term began early with the need to address the developing situation in Osiris.
- For Minister of the Army we have Southern Bellz who ran unopposed. He has vowed to continue promoting activity in the New Southern Army following his appoointment to finish Drugged Monkeys' term.
- For Minister of Regional Affairs Awesomiasa won after running unopposed. He advocates continuing with Resident Spotlights, helping with the organisation of the World Fair and promote citizen activity through different programmes. It has been noted that he has big shoes to fill, being the successor of Delegate-elect Escade.
- For Chief Justice incumbent QuietDad won in a landslide against newcomber Arbiter08. QuietDad has vowed to work for the pending reform of our judiciary, while Arbiter08 has promised to be active in the region and has expressed interest in working for the Ministry of Regional Affairs.
- For Craziest MoFo in TSP things are unclear, as Belschaft appears to have won with an impressive 328% majority.
Congratulations to our newest Cabinet and good luck. We trust these next four months will be the best for the South Pacific so far. Thanks for reading!
