Year 77 ABY

A Galaxy United

Tensions rise as the GALACTIC ALLIANCE and UNION OF JEDI PROTECTED WORLDS attempt to agree on a ceasefire. Brief skirmishes continue to dot the Galaxy between the two, which further delay any form of negotiation. The GALATIC ALLIANCE's joint project with the supposedly neutral KOL'KAAR FOUNDATION has also set the UJPW on edge. In response, the UPJW has tasked their own engineers with matching the GA's new ship, the Matador Dreadnaught.

The NEW SITH EMPIRE, seeking to avoid over extention of its new borders, have entered a state of military build up. Which has done little to set the other factions on its borders at ease. The UJPW continue to plead for the release of OSSUS, the burial world of LUKE SKYWALKER. So far, any attempt of diplomacy have been struck down. Meanwhile, the Sith prepare for the third DARK CONCLAVE, to discuss the future of the Empire, and the vision of a vague and imminent danger.

Deep in the Wild Space and Unknown Regions, a new enemy bides its time. War looms on the shadows, and if the Union, Alliance, and Empire can't put their differences aside and unite, then they may find themselves consumed by the Black Dragon that plagues the dreams of Jedi and Sith alike. The Year is 77 ABY… The Galaxy is more divided than ever. As the factions of the galaxy move closer to the brink of war shadows of far more sinister threats loom on the horizon. What side will you chose? Where will you stand? Will Galactic civilization endure? Only in a Galaxy United.

Physical Description:
Paya's appearance is incredibly youthful thanks to constant visits to rejuvenation centers that have been established throughout the Foundation's territory. A blue skinned twi'lek with a slender, beguiling build and bright blue-green eyes. She carries herself calmly, taking long strides everywhere she goes.

Known Outfits:

Paya consistently wears either her old but still functional smugglers outfit from way back when. Or her CEO's dress suit. She never wears dresses.

Psychological Analysis:

Unlike most young Twi'leks especially from her upbringing, she has managed to retain most of her free-spiritedness. She has a strong force of personality that displays itself with a bright smile and a twlinkling eye. She is well aware of her startling good looks and takes full advantage of how susceptable others are to them. Deeply thoughtful of the world around her and even more pragmatic, she understands the necessity of killing and stealing. She accepts that crime and vice will never truly go away, which is the basis of her entire goal in life.

Prefering to work out of the shadows and through an intermediary she rarely makes a personal appearance with any of her contacts. She understands that young female twileks aren't taken very seriously. Instead of taking exception, she works tirelessly to change that perception.

Pragmatic, Intelligent, Fun loving, uncensored and a bit eccentric. Those are words to describe her. She loves alcohol, wears a blue ribbon on the tip of her right lekku that she cherishes more than anything else, has a habit of going on long walks for no apparent reason and returning at odd hours.

Background:

The Protege and the Plant

Born into slavery on Ryloth Pala'shack, at the very beginning of her life, already existed at the bottom rungs of society. Her mother was the slave of an ex-Imperial Researcher who, at the time, had set up a research facility deep in the wilds of Ryloth. Among his goals, manufacture a variation of the spice drug to be mass produced and sold at high market value. His personal assistant and slave was Paya's mother, who died in childbirth bearing his child. Instead of selling the child, he decided to keep her as an investment. He raised her as a daughter and a protege.

The young twilek spent her formative years behind the secure walls of the Ryloth Facility. Her father leaving to go to important meetings and leaving her to entertain herself. She would spend much of her time completing tasks her father had set for her, studying under the scientists at the facility, learning to defend herself, studying endless combat simulations.

She did, however, have spare time to simply explore the facility. She would wander the different live experiment halls. Often simply asking about the experiments. However, her greatest joy was the live experiment pen, as she was allowed to interact with some of the animals. At the young age of ten, she stood by as a new test subject was brought into the lab. The researchers described it as a rare type of plant called an Ergesh. They said it was such a special type of plant they thought it showed some signs of awareness.

Paya saw right through it though. The so called plant was a being, one with thoughts, feelings and words. She came to it late that night and greeted it, she told it that "I will be your mommy and take care of you. You don't have to be scared with me around, okay? Keep pretending for the scientists..."

Over the next year the Egresh chose to maintain still and quiet, speaking to Paya only with simple sounds and noises when she visited it alone. The scientists became frustrated with watering the so-called intelligent plant. Finally, giving up, they initially considered incinerating Egresh. Paya protested, asking her father if she could keep it as a decoration in her room. Confused as to why she'd want such a filthy plant in her room he decided to simply grant his daughter her wish.

The Slugs
It was, when Paya turned sixteen, that the Hutts caught wind of her father's operations on Ryloth. One of the drug-scientists had been captured and was tortured for information. Feeling threatened by this new variation of Spice being engineered the Hutts decide an overt operation to put an end to the whole situation. Six mandalorian commandos are dispatched to exterminate the entire population of the enclosed facility.

Her father was one of the first to die, discussing a shipment in the recieving deck. The six foes strode in, guns blazing and turned her father into a charred husk. Retreating from the recieving deck, she hid with several of the scientists in the animal pens. It was there she learned the identities of her attackers. These slug-like crime bosses would pay, she told herself, if she got out of here.

Shortly after here personal oath, the bountyhunters began to break through into the animal lab. Those inside were the only members of the facility left alive. As she awaited her death in the confines of the pens she heard sounds of pain and death echoing out from the other side of the door. Silence fell over the room after a few moments.

Taking a chance, she opened the door, to see Ergesh standing over the crushed bodies of the Bounty Hunters. Gratitude for her 'little Ergesh' swelled inside of her and she embraced the gigantic mass. The bewildered scientists then explained to her that they'd have to escape or the hutts would keep coming.

They fled to her fathers ship, where she hatched a plan with the scientists. They didn't have the clearance to destroy the facilities records. The hutts would chase them forever. Instead they would continue their work elsewhere but Paya would take the idea in a new direction. She swore she would put those Damned slugs in their place, destroying their entire criminal empire.

Buildup
Over the next eight years, Paya began to consolidate power near the Hapes sector. Moving as close to Hutt-space as possible and testing their borders. She has exposed herself to the rigors of a life of crime and the realities of the world. Instead of breaking under it, she thrives, she realizes just how necessary vice is to the way the world works. She watches corrupt senators give into their vices, she watches drugs change the fate of worlds.

She'll become a new type of criminal. One with standards, with class, where drugs have safe and standard doses, where violence is the final option. With Ergesh and the scientists that chose to stay at her side, she plans to make a lot of money and absolutely crush the Hutt Syndicates.

The Foundation
After that, the rest of her story is both mixed in mystery and a saturation of public knowledge. She's well known for having orchestrated the downfall of the hutt-crime syndicates and the rise of the Kol'kaar Foundation. Now an aging CEO, her daughter uninterested in the corporation, she looks for an heir in her circle of lieutenants.
