After a few days of rest and preparation, including a slight extension of his Battle Card arsenal, the blue warrior of blades returned to his favorite training ground. The lush snowy 'scapes of Glacier Rock had become all too cozy to Shin Heijin, he couldn't keep himself away for long. Shin flew over his previously traveled path, and returned to the site of his showdown with the Goat. Tracks and craters were gone thanks to the raging blizzard that overtook the area in his absence, and carried on in his presence.

What had not changed was the sky high virus population within the hole Shin leaned in to inspect. While the surface was quiet, if he dared to venture inwards any farther he'd encounter hoards of virus far superior to the ones he'd found on his previous adventure in the Frozen North. But he hadn't come be to tuck his tail and dash off, Shin came to train to a greater level, and so he would.

Ho[ping into the hole foot-first, Shin soon found himself standing on a wave road, somewhat icy but clear enough to tread on. This section he landed on was a lone, thin strip down a long, narrow corridor of the cave. This caver appeared to lead deeper into the mountain itself. After a short time's stroll, Shin came to an open cavern in the mountain, spacier with a widening of the wave road and a few others branching off and forwards with it. On the other side was what appeared to be another narrow corridor, but between Shin and progress was, as always, an adversary. Several, to be exact. It was a horde of virii, and Shin was ready for them.

((For the record, using Shin's Round Pass here to begin in Round 2. Come get 'im, A-Coya.))

Alas... Poor Shin... Even if he had been planning to get the drop on his enemies (get it? drop? ... 'Cause he jumped down a hole... <_<), he wouldn't get the chance... The viruses for some reason had been waiting for him and a quick glance back to the entrance of the hole would show why: a virus scouting party! There must have been a few scouts out and about, patrolling the area to make sure their made hide out (this cave) stayed safe... That must have been what made up the enemy forces when last Shin was here... Now the scout party above leered at him and made silly faces. They didn't attack, though... That was up to the group of viruses that had already started silently swarming around Shin even before he laid a foot on the cave floor...

Among them was a Ravage, swinging its giant hammer in anticipation in front of Shin, an Octo Icer, breathing heavily out of anger while clinging upside down to a nearby wall to Shin's Left (the older brother of the Octo Ninja Shin had taken out perhaps?), an Octo Ninja, similar to the one before, but more daring-looking and chilling ou to Shin's right, a Gooey, silently making a puddle of itself on the wave road's floor just behind Shin (so as to draw no attention to itself; in fact, Shin had walked straight past it), and lastly their morale boosting LupiNatra hanging out just behind the Ravage...

The LupiNatra had already begun its brave war song even as viruses first revealed themselves (you could even say that's how the viruses decided to show themselves); its fierce vocal tones causing the wave road to shake and vibrate as well. So loud was this song that within the confines of the cave it seemed as if the air was vibrating due to the reverberation given off by the walls. At this, the viruses started off their attack with the OctoNinja leading the charge and firing off one of its green, inky blasts right at Shin, changing the oanels beneath its path to Grass, but not for long as, following straight after its relative (same species?), the OctoIcer also fired off its icy jet of frozen, blue ink at Shin, changing any panels it crossed over to Ice (the end result of any panels hit by both Inks in an Ice panel since it came second). Not wanting to be left out, the Gooey suddenly sprung up, shooting forth a great jet of water into the sky which would later come cascading down on Shin. As the water came tumbling down, the Ravage made its move and took a beeline right for Shin, ready to swing its ferocious hammer down on its new foe.

No matter the trickery, Shin wouldn't fall entirely victim to the shenanigans of virii, never again. The virii hid well, but Shin was not so foolish and oblivious to his surroundings that he'd be caught entirely off guard. On the contrary, Shin was excessively analytical. He would also never forget the troubles singing virii had caused him before, and he'd been waiting for one to pop out since then. First though, Shin noticed the familiar puddle at his feet. It was hardly inconspicuous, the wave roads were mostly dry if not icy, water was a big tell off. He choose to step over it in hopes of finding fore virii, but as he did Shin raised a hand over his head in preparation for rainfall.

He also noted the Ravage ahead. It tried it's best to hide, but in a wide open cave a large mallet held vertically was all too noticeable. The carver consisted of 4 walls, a floor and a ceiling, checking all of this was a brief task. The virii had tried their best to hide, but there was simply nowhere to do it. Shin noted the Lupi Natra off behind the noticeable Ravage and hastened his movements in a panic. He brought forth his shield with haste, diagonally over his head but tilted slightly in front of him and off center leaning to his left as a tilted roof or umbrella of sorts.

Shin wished to put his hand back down and recreate a weapon this time, but his ears told him otherwise. A familiar, vexing tune filled the air, the sound of an obnoxious and immobilizing virus. Shin was fortunate enough to have the ink of green hue pelt his shield and naturally the sticky rain trickled on his umbrella shield. But the Icy ink from Shin's right traveled uncontested, delivering a cold shill to Shin's ribs and feet as it coated the ground below. Still immobilized Shin was made to face the massive mallet of the Ravage head on. The strike of the hammer felt none to different than a cannon ball to the head. Shin was rattled for a moment as he recovered though still unable to physically shake it off.

Manami was doing her best to make good use of Vann's effort to bare the brunt of the pain dealt to their conversion, leaving her to concentrate on the finer points of battle. And so she did, first igniting two blades on Shin's back, and then multi-noiseing to add to their card slots. Loading up a full custom Manami prioritized crowd control and a wide range of focus for the numerous virii around them. Keeping each participant under pressure would do well to make sure they only had time to save themselves and not help others out of a pinch.

The Ravage quickly retreated whilst waving it hammer back and forth as if laughing in its own, silent way. Meanwhile, the Lupinatra became silent for an unknown reason. Out of breath? At any rate, the other three viruses weren't nearly as easy-going.

The Octo Icer and Octo Ninja once more coordinated their attacks by taking up a stance opposite each other with the Octo Icer quickly suction-cupping its way down the wall it had been hanging from and was now directly to Shin's left. They simultaneously let loose with their respective inks. Neither a simple shot directly for Shin, however, for each octopus virus took aim in a way that if Shin were to simply dodge one, he'd still have to deal with another? Easy. Each one aimed slightly off target to the left just enough to block his escape and yet still hit were he to remain stationary.

Not one to be left out, the Gooey quickly went on the attack as well. It made the split-second decision to melt into a puddle! A Devastating maneuver indeed!

((Right... well. Time to pick this up again. sorry for taking so long but I'm still not even sure you'll have time to post.))

Also OOC

Forced to stand still while time passed him by, unable to move a muscle nor lift a finger, much less a sword. It was one of the worst feelings one could inflict upon Shin, and the source was the dastardly Lupi Natra before him. This was a true spawn of Satan, and shin Heijin would be the righteous warrior to slay it and purge it's evil presence from the Earth.

All this anticipation built up inside him, a welling mass of potential energy. Watching the two Octo viruses spread before him, he knew the course of action he would take as the running lane appeared before him. Sideways dodges were useless, but a perfect route to his target appeared before Shin at the side time, a route not covered by the the gooey attacks of the sea creatures.

Finally, the Lupi Natra's song ended, and that would likely end it's life. Immediately as it did, Shin dashed off straight ahead, effectively evading the two uses of Water Gun, and activated his first card has he went. Shin had seen a Gooey puddle before, and this time he knew the secret to it's puddling shenanigans. It was a devastating move alright, and Shin's retaliation was possibly risky, be he had faith in it. Missiles rained from above with frighting speed. One aimed to crash into each virus where it stood, he hoped the octo viruses would be distracted enough by he daring decision to not be aware of them.. With these missiles falling, the octo viruses would either be annihilated, or be force to reposition instead of focusing fire on Shin. The Gooey wasn't any more safe, for the Breaking nature of these missiles was it's puddling maneuvers one weakness! "Ha ha!" Shin couldn't help but chant in his head.

A pair of missiles were now headed for the Lupi Natra too, as well as the Ravage that had retreated behind it, exposing the little devil. The missiles would land just prior to Shin's arrival. Now he hoped very well that the Missile would annihilate the Lupi Natra, but in the event it somehow did not, he expanded the golden band around his right arm as he closed in, forming a golden glove. With a powerful straight, Shin aimed the punch the virus square in the face, should it have survive. Should it not have, he would continue the strike forwards, and aim for the base of the Ravage instead. And if it too, had been annihilated, well then the air itself would be in for a nasty surprise, indeed.
