Being undefined has advantages; undefined can commit patrols and crimes, and never be held to account for either - rather than being condemned, the undefined wave warrior who does either is praised by the camp they assist. And that was precisely what Don Cossack was looking for; easy money for protecting a historical site, praise and no scrutiny whatsoever. The GSP may be big, but it still lacked manpower; they certainly wouldn't mind a hand. Don Cossack sat in the "throne room", the place where Dealer's contemptible actions had been plotted and piloted from. The whole world had experienced the effects of the horrific plots launched by the criminal organization headed by the late Mr King, and there were still rumors of branches of Dealer popping into and out of existence, like the noise fluctuations that they had harnessed to power this massive building. He didn't see anybody in the well decorated room, and started to wander towards the de-engineered wave station, a marvel of reverse engineering which had none of the defects of the original and all of the functionality. If it wasn't for their having nearly destroyed the planet and killing the Satella Police Commando's head, he would applaud rather than condemn the organization. No that what he thought mattered an iota. |

And indeed; when he tried to communicate with the poker chips suspended on the wall, nobody replied. Nobody here, mission complete. The patrol was now complete, but Cossack wished he could stay and study the gigantic Crimson-powered machine that stared emptily into space. It was a marvelous beast with a load of defensive capabilities; it also was the main generator that powered the building. As he trekked out the door, the machine gave a sputtering cough. [EXIT] |
