Our story begins in an unlikely place: the ruins of what had been a shine to a great civilization - the Whazzup ruins.
***
Quote:

It was a warm day in Whazzup when Tim North stepped from being an Archeologist to being an officer on the scene of what appeared to be a theft of massive proportions. The day had begun normal enough when Tim had began to study the ruins. But fate had other plans for the genius, and that was soon to be evident.

"This stone shows strange glyphs roughly equivalently to: 'Long ago, chaos came. The cataclysm is at hand when the Chaos star appears...'" Tim intoned as he examined a tablet left in a nook. And then the heavens shook under the wrath of a meteor as it streaked across the sky, leaving a crimson trail behind as it rapidly approached the nexus, which happened to be the very ground under Tim's feet.

Tim didn't see the meteor approached, but he sensed an ominous omen, and instinctively back away from the stone slab moments before impact. The ground shook as the shooting star melded into the earth, shattering the slab. All that remained was a fine, white powder that radiated a strange yellow light.

That wasn't the only effect of the impact, as anybody could plainly see. Two very large and very angry wizards crawled out of the small pile, shaking from what seemed to be a massive amount of noise. What none realized was that this was a powdered chaos, not an intangible Crimson.

"You... you have awakened us..."

Tim stepped back, mouth agape as the two very displeased Wizards scooped a handful of the dust and advanced on him.

"Eat... DUST!"

In an instant, his mouth was filled with the powder which melded into his mouth.

"You... you are the Chaos... Harbi...er..."

And the wizards dematerialized in a red pool, leaving nothing but a red stain...

***

When the posse arrives, what will they find at Tim North's last known location? A hunch says trouble lays in store, but who can tell? Whom, indeed, but the powder itself - not that the warriors will see it without entering the ruins.

Oddly, three viruses stood at the entrance to the ruins. Three weak viruses, but viruses nonetheless. Strange, because viruses are very rarely seen in the physical world. Shucks, it looks like the posse has some work ahead of them.

Whazzap was as hot as ever. Even though Shok was technically an EM Being, the sun's heat roasted the human side of him by heating up his armor. It was only slightly troublesome, although it took more than a hot desert day to stop Sirus from a hunt. He jumped off of the Wave Roads, landing several meters away from the viruses that guarded the ruins.

"Well this might be an easier search than we thought," Shok said to his partner. "It seems the hardest part was finding these ruins themselves. This Tim North guy definitely has to be somewhere underground."

Sirus loved these kinds of assignments. Hunting was one of his favorite past times, and it always excited the Satella Officer to get to hunt down something a little smarter than a virus. He even had a group he'd get to work with, whenever they showed up. Going solo was a familiar experience to Sirus, but being in a group was always more entertaining.

"I agree." Cane's voice was as calm as ever. "We should wait for the rest of the group Satella got to do this search before we do anything else. It might just be a couple of viruses, but it could quickly get out of hand if we're not careful."

"Yeah, you're right. There's no rush, even if I do think you're being a little paranoid."

"Doesn't that mean you're paranoid if you agree?"

"I can agree with you but still think you're wrong, can't I?"

Shikaku had arrived to the scene shortly after Shok had. She had decided to take the route of the Wave Road though, ideal for a sniper such as herself. She wondered to herself why she even took this job. Her normal thing was to take solo jobs. With other people, there was a chance her identity might be found. As an extra precaution, she had covered up her face underneath the conversion and put a voice converter in the mask as well so she could still seem like a male if she was forced out of her conversion.

She saw no need to acknowledge her ally. It would only give away her position. Instead she summoned her rifle to her hands and took careful aim at the strongest virus in her opinion. An 'X' shaped structure materialized on her back and blasted purple energy as she rose a few inches off the ground.

Shikaku fired the trigger and a bullet went flying at the Mettenna. The kickback pushing her back a bit as well as forcing her to the surface of the wave road. Shok might be alarmed by the sudden sound, but hopefully he would know that she was an ally. In the mean time, Tori loaded a quick custom for her. It may be an easy battle, but she had no idea what would lie up ahead, so better safe than sorry.

The Remnant
-- -- -- -- --

" We should be finding ways to earn money..."

Jake avoided his Wave Conversion, because Remnant's nagging was slightly less loud when they weren't merged. But annoying nonetheless.

" ... not wandering around in a desert for a lost scientist."

Scientist. Researcher. Archeologist. Whatever he was.

" The whole reason we started our venture was to find a lost somebody..."

There were ruins up ahead, so switching to Wave Form was an ideal option at this point. That's where the rest of their squad... or team.. or whatever it could accurately be called was supposed to assemble.

" ... and this guy's friends will probably meet the same fate as us, if we fail to bring him back."

No doubt this Tim North fellow had some friends that were eager for his return. If they waited too long, they would take matters into their own hands and begin searching for him themselves.

And from firsthand experience, Warrior knew that wasn't always the best idea.

As he entered his Wave Form outside the ruins, he noticed one person already here -- confronted with three viruses. He heard a shot fire off -- but it was directed neither at him nor his "ally".

" ... You gunna jump in?"

" ... I don't think this situation will be hard to keep under control. He's got this."

Assuming the one who fired that round was also on their side -- the two others here had this pretty much under wraps. No sense in stealing their fun.

Big stuff would most likely come later, anyway, if this is what met them at the beginning.

*SWISH-SWISH-SWISH!*

The world of Electromagnetic Waves when it came to international travel was vaster than he could remember...

Xenneth had little time to think about that as he made a long trip from the Cosmo Waves and to Whazzap. It had been a while since he used the waves to make a trip to another country, mostly because he was busy investigating mysteries about himself in Echo Ridge where the lab ruins resided. However, he had to admit, there was some relief to traveling to another part of the world seeing that he had little experience when it came to staying on other parts of the world for a little while. Ms. Evelyn, his Boss, had held no bars in enforcing her point that he was an ignorant little “fossil boy” that did not know how the world had changed.

She was right after all.

“Is something wrong, Xenneth?”

*SWISH!*

If not the sudden turn along the Electromagnetic Wave Road, then it was the sound of the voice of Gyarakushi speaking to the boy that broke him away from deep thought. In physical frequency, Xenneth could feel the wind as he traveled at an incredible speed around the Whazzap Ruins looking for the designated area that was mentioned in the Satella Police Report that was leaked to him. He swore that these assignments that were left on the “Divine Network” were every last Police Department’s Assignment lazily handed off in hopes that the famous Super Heroine Goddess would take care of things rather than themselves.

“I-It’s nothing,” he said dismissively. The jewel on the chest of the Goddess glowed as Xenneth spoke, “It’s just...I mean, it feels weird exploring the world. I barely know anything about where I come from.”

“...oh, that again.” Gyarakushi spoke bothered, “You have been thinking about them a lot, yes? Your sisters and the time you came from. Do you...still not like being here with me?” Gyarakushi asked once more. The Goddess never strayed far from that question every time this subject came up. As an AMian, she had felt the feelings of Xenneth and resonated with them: loss and confusion; things she felt as being a wanderer as well. She was pure, pristine, and loving; however, she questioned what things were and constantly about herself.

It was something her and the violet haired boy shared, and probably why they had such a union.

“No, Gyarakushi. I like being where with you, it’s just my family is...”

“Xen-kun! My eyesight! Can you see it!” The female interrupted. Xenneth had no choice but to acknowledge the sight along the ruins as among the stones there were three brimming waves of energy reaching upward into the air. Exactly where they sourced from, he was unsure, but he knew this was Aura and as their specialty, they could plainly know what this meant.

“Aura!” he had exclaimed, “But from where?”

Before there could be any more to say, Gyarakushi Megami had flown towards the ruins as she could see the source of one aura; a ferocious one that brimmed violently as if from aggression. She could see he was engaging a set of viruses before her as if he was busting. It was clear, from this, that they had approached a battle in progress, but they kept some distance as they stood upon the Electromagnetic Wave Road peering over the sight while in Electromagnetic Frequency.

“A battle? I wonder who that Electromagnetic Being is?” Gyarakushi asked. Oblivious that this actually had to do with the assignment, but completely interested in this Electromagnetic Being, she had watched on from afar.

As an impatient wave warrior fired the high-velocity weapon, there had been a though running through the puny mind of the virus. The thought was now lost to us, courtesy of the bullet the ripped into the poor, unsuspecting Mettena3, spattering little bits of data on the ground. The rest of the Mettana3 dissipiated in a little cloud of yellowish data that spread out in a two metre radius before disappearing altogether.

Corvus Corvidae is said to be the most intelligent of birds. This is also true for the virus that is modeled on it; perceptive, communicative and... not hesitating to scold or attack. Crowbus never saw the shot rip into it's ally, but it did see the effect... and hear the noise, too. When it saw a wave warrior that had stumbled back, it deduced that the stumbler was also the one who had terminated it's friend.

With a cry of anger, the Crowbus launched itself like an angry birdie at the nearest wave warrior, who happened to be Shok. It would be a fast pass, and one that could hurt, especially for somebody who wasn't paying attention.

The cry alerted the BaseMortar, which swiveled its gun and let loose a torrent of bullets at the same one whom the Crowbus was dive-bombing. Not five, not eight, but twelve bullets blasted out of it's barrel, tearing through the air at the threat-posing wave warrior.

Also alerted by the cry was another Crowbus, which had been soaring ahead on the wave road moments before. In classic fashion, it too decided to dive-bomb a wave warrior, but this time, it was the right one. If the warriors didn't deal with the situation quickly, there could be more trouble ahead.

TL;DR
Shikaku's bullet killed a Mettena3.
CrowBus charges Shok
BaseMortar attacks Shok

Shikaku's gunshot did surprise Shok. He turned to see where the shot originated, squinting his eyes to try to get a good look at what he could only assume was his ally. It was a bold move, to be sure. "Well so much for waiting..."

"Watch out!"

The Crobus' cry alerted both Shok and Cane, but the bigger problem was the shower of bullets that were now coming their way. Shok turned back to face the viruses, putting his arms up to brace himself from the gunfire before throwing his body to the side out of the Crowbus' ramming path. He managed to dodge a few of the BaseSniper's bullets, but the majority had nicked away at his armor. It was a stupid mistake to lower his guard, but Shok didn't think the viruses would react so quickly. He picked himself up, scolding himself as electricity sparked from his arm, taking form in the shape of a large 3 meter tall dog. Canes Major had been summoned, standing in front of Shok in case another virus decided to attack.

"Talk about preemptive strike. I'm not sure who benefited more from that: us or them."

Shok's right hand sparked with blue electricity as he touched his chest. The sparks rejuvenated some of his health, invigorating him as he rose to his feet. He would wait for the opportune moment to strike, but for now getting some cards loaded took priority.

Actions

Damage: 8/12 BaseSniper shots connected. 8% Taken.

1. Attack Name: Canes Major
Element: Elec
Description: Lightning sparks itself from the Kaminari no Tekubi, manifesting itself in the form of an electric hound that stands 3 meters when on all fours. Canes Major is treated like a summon, able to be touched and inflict damage, but is tied directly to the Kaminari no Tekubi by a lightning tether. Canes Major requires Shok's left hand to be unused as long as the summon is on the field of battle.
Damage: Great health. Requires left arm to be unequipped to sustain Canes Major. 10 turn cooldown.

2. Attack Name: Hiru Shogeki
Element: Elec
Description: By using an elec attack with his right hand, whether it's a card or a weapon attack, the Hiru Shogeki can recaharge an elec-based EM Being and heal their wounds. The electricity from the attack turns blue when this effect is activated. The attack used must make contact with the target in order to heal.
Damage: Heals Moderate damage to any entity with Elec as their Main or Sub element, including the Dendo Inu. Requires right handed elec attack to use. 7 turn cooldown.

3. Attack Name: Obujekuto no Kaminari (used with Hiru Shogeki)
Element: Elec
Description: The sandagurobu sends out a bolt of lightning at a target in a straight line. If the attack hits a target (summon, obstacle, or Wave Warrior), then this attack may bounce off and redirect itself towards a new target if Shok chooses to do so. This attack can only damage 1 target when it's used.
Damage: Moderate. Optional bounce and redirect off of another target without dealing damage. 1 turn cooldown.

Shikaku heard the shriek of a second Crowbus and knew she had to act fast. She dropped her rifle which began disintegrating as a result. A pitch black sword formed in her right hand to replace the rifle. She hit the wave road fast while charging energy into her sword. Shikaku held it up above her by extending her arm up. The sword glowed a bit before elongating to 1.5 meters.

Hopefully, the Crowbus wouldn't be able to stop its movement and fly straight into the sword. Shikaku got back to her feet, dematerializing her sword and opting to carry the rifle once more. She quickly aimed at the immobile BaseSniper which could prove to be quite annoying for her allies and shot a bullet at it.

Shikaku had taken notice of a lightly armored warrior cwatididthar that hadn't bothered to help her and the warrior with the canine. She did sense a faint presence of someone else, but couldn't pin point that being at the time. Shikaku didn't register these details as threats and instead decided to focus on the threat that was immediate.

" ... They've got this handled."

" ... Besides, you're still kind of new. No sense in getting in their way or anything, right?"

" ... Right."

Warrior drew his sword, but did not strike. He simply leaned into a defensive stance, ready to retaliate should an attack come his way.

Thrashing the viruses seemed to be taken care of by the other conversions... no sense in wasting energy on anything not worth the time.

The Wave Road cruising CrowBus could pick out the shape of the sword materializing ahead, and let out a terrified "Squark!" before colliding with the sharp implement. Its brief and antagonistic existence now terminated, what was left of it exploded in a confetti-like drift of feathers. With a hairpin turn, it turned back for a second pass, hoping to damage the stupid sharp sword-wielder.

Below, the BaseSniper had been dealing with Shok, who was now safely tucked behind a massive dog. It didn't see the shot coming, but it did change targets for something more promising: Warrior. After the shot ripped into it, it retaliated against Warrior by letting loose a torrent of lead towards the sword-wielding warrior.

Also, as the CrowBus finished a pass that had ended with its target out of sight, it too decided to attack Warrior; if you can't reach one, go for the other. Revving up its internal engine, it let out a Cherokee warcry as it sped off in pursuit of an enemy.

Shok was glad to see the BaseSniper had taken an interest in a different target. Albeit it was one of his teammates (or at least he thought it was), it gave him a chance to go on the offensive.

More static sparked from Shok's body as it formed itself into yet another dog. This one was much smaller than the behemoth in front of him, but it was identical to its bigger brother. Both dogs rushed forward toward the BaseSniper, tackling it in an X pattern to try and overkill the virus.

Shok would introduce himself to his partners later. For now, it was best to eliminate all distractions before getting to know his allies.

The Crowbus was stubborn indeed as it came back for another pass. No matter. Shikaku had a strong feeling a single hit would end the virus's life. Her rifle was quickly replaced by a new weapon: a crimson pistol. She quickly fired off a single shot before rolling out of the virus's haphazard attack.

It seemed the lightning warrior had the BaseSniper under control. That left the other Crowbus that was heading for the swordsman. Once again the sniper switched out weapons, resorting to her rifle again. She made sure to account for the attack's momentum and fired a shot ahead of it so that the bullet could strike as the virus rushed forward at the sword wielder.

That took care of all the viruses. Or so Shikaku thought. The truth would unveiled soon enough.
