Androids: Robot people. Totally different from Cyborgs.

Colonies: Outposts where pockets of humanity live as they attempt to find Eden. Typically just very large ships outfitted to be appropriate for hundreds of people to live inside them. Tend to be the size of a large city, very dirty, and very dangerous. Voyagers can stay here to fuel up and try and haggle their way into buying more goods and food. There are a few outposts said to be cleaner and safer, but those seem to be restricted to NEF officials and their families.

Cyborgs: Robot people. Totally different from Androids.

(But for real they have their own sticky.)

Dud Planets: While Voyagers search the galaxies, they tend to come across planets that may be Eden, but probably aren’t. Usually, they go down to analyze the surface regardless. Even if a planet isn’t perfectly hospitable, the natural resources on other planets can still be harvested. Usually, the procedure is to notify the NEF of a dud and let them come in to extract goods from the planet. Usually, the voyager who finds the planet will get a healthy reward.

FEU: The Federal Exploration Unit - the closest thing to a military that the NEF has. The NEF trains their own, personal voyagers out of people who enlist from the colonies to try and find Eden. FEU Members, as a whole, are not well liked by the populace for being greedy and corrupt.

Freezer: Slang used to describe the hanger bay for ICEs on most ships. Because they're filled with ice. Haha.

Great War: The war that ravaged the Earth and ended 15 years ago. Took approximately a decade from start to end.

ICE: Interstellar Combat and Exploration unit - Technology adapted from the great war. Large, mechanical suits capable of travelling in the vacuum of space and keeping its pilot safe. Weapons systems, appearance, and build tend to vary from unit to unit, especially since most Voyager crews have a few heavily-customized ICEs to keep themselves safe. Typically humanoid and around 13 meters tall.

NEF: The New Earth Federation - formed after the great war in an attempt to gather up the remnants of humanity and create a new world. (Didn’t work out great.)

Ships: Large, flying boats with a top to let you travel in space. Neato.

Space Pirates: Not everyone decided to stay a good guy after the end of the world - space pirates are groups who roam the stars, making raids on colony and groups of unsuspecting Voyagers, taking food and goods for themselves.

Venturex Coil Technology developed during the great war that powers all beam weapons. Has been adopted for multiple other purposes since then.

Voyagers: Groups of explorers unaffiliated with the NEF who search the stars to try and find Eden. Life as a voyager is rough, and often hungry, but those who aren’t content sitting still in the colonies and don’t want to join the FEU will often strike out with a crew of Voyagers.

Warpspeed: What ships use to travel really fast in space. The recently adopted technology, using a heavily modified version of the Venturex Coil, allows a ship to very rapidly generate a massive amount of energy and release it, cruising along from an initial massive burst of speed to get to a destination as quick as possible. All ships with warpspeed capability are also equipped with internal stabilizer to make sure no one on board dies from the absurd speed.

(If you want something else added or think I should elaborate on something, please shoot me a message - I’d love to hear it!)
