Steel Floors in Skyscrapers permit taller buildings
The development of electrically welded steel flooring, which materially reduces the weight of a building while adding to its strength has been hailed by architects as an means of erecting taller skyscrapers than have been possible.

Landing field on long roof to serve big buildings?
Anticipating the day when it will become practical to land aircraft on the top of buildings, engineers are working on the designs of an large terminal structure, planned for Los Angeles which will be fitted for the accommodation of air-planes and other airships. Early designs suggest that the ideal building airport will be 980 feet long, and 152 feet wide.
