You said you three newbies...I disagreed with it. Are you trying to call me a newbie? To be honest with you, roast Alex(MarinersGM) all you want. I really don't give a crap, because it's on the internet, so why does it matter? But when you try roasting me, especially when I have nothing else better to do and I am bored as frick, that crap ain't going to fly. |

The stuff you say is immature, there is a difference. If you want to say some of the stuff that has been posted on here try facebook or something. This is a fantasy baseball league board. And the reason we have our draft when we have it is because by then most of the guys have some pro experience which helps determine their value. And it does not really even take that much time to look up players, mlb.com usually has a profile for every player in the draft. Again, unless most of the league has switched their votes on the matter there is not much to discuss as its been done for 2-yrs now and has been overall very successful and FUN, you know fun, that word you keep throwing around. But lets discuss away. |

Dude, seriously, are you just that thick headed that you refuse to read what I wrote. Let me say it for you AGAIN MLB.COM POST PROFILES FOR EACH AND EVERY PLAYER PRETTY MUCH IN THE DRAFT, YOU DONT HAVE TO WATCH JACK, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO READ ABOUT A PLAYER, ITS NOT THAT DIFFICULT AND OUTSIDE OF APPARENTLY 3 OF YOU THE LEAGUE ENJOYS HAVING MORE SAY IN THEIR TEAM There are always a few who don't like it, but if MOST of the league does and most do in every league I am in that does it, then we will continue to do it because its about what MOST of the league wants not the minority. |

whatever im done with you im done with this conversation your posts annoy and aggravate me like a little pestering fly, instead of allowing some thought and discussion on this (even if its just for some of us to blow off steam about the issue) you had to get all mr high and mighty. im leaving it alone now its up to you to continue this badinage of posts and i was writing that last one as you posted so therefore could not see it |

alright i know im still new to this league, and im gonna be quiet and try to learn the league a little more before i start voicing my opinions to much, but you guys are making this dicussion way to personal towards each other right now. everyone just say what you think about the draft and if you need to settle anything personal then PM each other |

As for me im not really sure if i like this type of draft, but then again i dont really know much about it, or how it works. So if you could explain how it works i would appreciate it cause i was just upset awhile back when i came to see i had lost a few top prospects in the draft. |

Its just like the real first year player draft. The draft order is determined by the previous years record. For 3 rounds you get to determine who is part of your minor league system by hand picking them in the draft rather than being handed whoever your team picked. Anyone not picked in the 3 round draft that was taken by your real life team is returned to you. Basically it gives you more control to get a player you want at a need you feel you have in your organization. |

Ok. Well if the majority of the league likes it, then im fine with it, especially when I haven't given it the chance yet. I just didn't really understand what it was before when I was being told a few of my top prospects weren't actually mine. So im glad you guys brought this topic up cause I actually did want to ask about it. And one more question I had is for these 3 rounds can we draft anyone from the previous MLB draft, or is it only players that go in the first 3 rounds in the actual draft? |

It is anyone in that years draft class who has signed. So if there is a guy who was drafted in real life in round 5 but maybe he slipped due to signablity or whatever and you think he is worth going in the top 3 round then you can choice him. That is part of the allure, is your not restricted, as long as they are part of that years draft class and actually signed with their team, which we will know prior to the draft, they are fair game. |

Alright, well that really doesn't sound that bad to me then, and I can see what you mean by it makes the league more realistic as a GM. |

Just adds a fun element to things. I have lost a lot of good players in the two years but added some nice players as well. I enjoy having a little more control while still getting guys my team actually took. |
