Maybe you should be a LITTLE CLEARER then. And had you not fucked up Pat Burrell, makers win's him and does not bid again on Delgado thus he is in this position of being screwed over. Makers rightfully so assumed that a STAFF MEMBER had made a LEGAL BID on Pat Burrell so he placed a bid on Plan B Carlos Delgado. Then its discovered that you are 400K short on Burrell, therefore Makers is awarded Burrell but now is over the cap on Delgado(a player he no longer needs or wants with Burrell). As I said, as a STAFF MEMBER your expected to be more responsible and prepared and all you have done is make people wonder why the frick your a staff member anyway. Being a staff member is about much more than being active, its about trying to make the league the best possible and when situations come up being able to work through it and potentially bend rules when possible when a wrong has occured. And now this is not only affecting you Astros or makers but it now has a effect on Mariners too, so your screwup has effected potentially two other teams as well. |

Mariners said they were fine with keeping delgado... look would it make everyone feel better and drop this if I ASTROS GM take the makers cap hit! if it will drop this situation and everyone can just get away from it i will ACCEPT the 5,400,000 cap hit for delgado... then just let makers keep burrell and mariners keep delgado... im sorry for everything that has happened |

If you look back at the time stamps for the bids on both Delgado and Burrell, Makers should be at fault here too. He was at one point while actively bidding on both of these players, he had active bids that put him at over $98,000,000. On 3/27 @ 3:48pm Makers placed a bid on Delgado for 14,000,000 his cap at that point was sitting at around $70,000,000. On 3/27 @ 6:35pm Makers placed a bid of $13,500,000 on Burrell out bidding the Astros bid at $12,000,000 which did not put the Astros over the cap limit at that point. Makers with these two bids put him over the cap limit at $98,055,825 |

No one is asking you Astros to take two cap hits, that is ridiculous. If your going to play Time Stamp game play it all the way. Makers on Delgado Mar 27 @ 3:48 PM CST - 1 @ 14 Mill Mar 28 @ 2:15 pm CST - 1 @ 16 Mill Mar 28 @ 8pm CST - 1 Yr @ 18 Mill Last Few Bids on Burrell Makers Mar 27 @ 6:65 PM Astros Mar 27 @ 9:55 PM (illegal bid) , had he gone to 14 mill instead of 15 mill this wouldn't even have been a issue. Looks to me like makers bids on Delgado for the most part were AFTER he thought he lost out on Burrell, but call me crazy. Makers last two bids on Carlos Delgado occured AFTER Burrell. Burrell was awarded at 9:55 PM on Mar 28, which was almost 2 hrs after makers last bid on Delgado when he felt that Astros bid was legal and not something he wanted to go over. |

Yes but what I am saying is at the time Makers placed his 1st bid on burrell, that put him over the cap. |

Makers placed a bid of 13,500,000 at the same time he had a bid on Delgado at 14,000,000. His bid of 13,500,000 to out bid the Astros 12,000,000 bid put Makers over his cap limit. I am of the opinion that both of these guys should be penalized. Delgado and Burrell should be opened again and neither of these guys should be allowed to bid on any other players. |

im glad i have other people seeing my point! yes i messed up i miscounted on my money and i am now having to deal with it... but padres is showing where makers did wrong and to have the FACT in our faces while letting him go free is wrong... i love this league im just trying to keep the integrity. wrong is wrong and i hate that its going to make everyone look down on me and possibly effect me say in trades that im involved in but i am one for the truth even when it hurts... and the truth is he didnt have the money even on his first bid like padres pointed out so i would have rightfully owned burrell and i would have never went over so in a way if he wouldnt have bid money he didnt have i wouldnt have went over... which needs to be looked into as well.... thanks padres so we either both need the penalty or neither that simple and we need to re open both of them and do it that way IMO... its only fair |

I can't seem to reach Steve which is frustrating so here are my three options. Option 1: *Astros takes cap hit for Burrell *Makers wins Burrell, no hit for Delgado *Mariners wins Delgado Option 2: 1 Vote *Astros takes cap hit *Makers wins Burrell, takes hit for Delgado *Mariners wins Delgado Option 3: 1 Vote *Astros Takes Cap Hit *Makers Takes Cap Hit *Pat Burrell and Carlos Delgado are completely started over and we allow both makers and Astros to bid, they have less money to use anyway and both must post their current cap room PRIOR to placing a bid for either player. |

In My Opinion..... I didn't realize A's overbid when he didn't have the cap space...i'd have to agree then that both get hit with cap hits. As far as the players, its becomming a big mess now. I say re-open the bids on the two players for 24 hours with mariners having the high bid on Delgado (2 years @ 17 mil) and Astros having the high bid on Burrell (4 years @ 12 million with a No Trade Clause). |
