I still can't believe it's not butter!

Do you have a job and or a career? If so, what are they? Are you looking for a job? Are you unemployed and not looking for work?

I am currently looking for a job, but at the same time I do volunteer/internship work at a Social Service Center as an Office Assistant. It's a pretty nice job, everyone is friendly... at least to me. (I've heard lot's of rumors about some people)
I don't get paid a cent, but at least It allows me to have great work experience. Plus, my supervisor helps me with my own job searches and my resume/cover letter.

The job hunt is really hard though; I've been looking for a paying job for over a year now.. I started in Fall of 2010; April of 2011...was my first interview for Macy's.
Since then, I have been on 19 interviews including two from last week 7/30/2012 - 7/31/2012.
It is not as easy as some make it out to be; but I keep on trekking... and at this point it gets annoying that maybe I'll be more assertive on my next interview.

I work for the Chatham-Kent Recreation Department in my town, basically clean, moving hockey nets between periods during the game at the arena, clean up a couple nights a week at our indoor swimming pool, and take care of washroom facilities in a park near my home during May to October, and when the ice gets put back in at the arena in mid August i keep the hose moving so it doesn't melt into the small layer of ice.

I 've been at this job since 1992 when our town use to runs things before amalgamation(which means town, villages, townships and other rural area governments in an area gets merged with the city of that region,it's cost cutting measure done by the higher levels of government here in Canada that Provincial and Federal governments, they trim the cost of municipal governments by merging together smaller communities.)

So, I now have a job at a retail store. It's terrible pay, but it's a start on the job ladder.
