[-Market-]
Is at the market, a large open square of stalls in the heart of Sulport. Vendors flock around you trying to sell the many different and exotic wares on offer.

says to ALL: As I traversed the square of the market, piercing eyes of pale jade searched the many faces for one in particular. Slow were the steps of an elegant stride so that it seemed I was only about a leisurely stroll, though my path was quite determined. Away from the vendors booths and towards the garden at the very heart of the market, where it seemed many gathered to socialize.

A cloak, inky as the night sky draped from narrow shoulders, bleeding into robes of palest gray. In my right hand was held a sealed scroll, hidden in the billowing length of the dark material. The layers of dark hair were fashioned into a loose chignon at the nape of neck. Fine hairs dared to tease the artful curve of high-cheekbones, the skin smooth as porcelain and nearly as perfect save for the fine marbeling of healing bruises that lived in fading shades of green and yellow along the contours of my right cheek.

When finally I spied the young messenger, I gave a nod in his direction, only then lifting my hand to reveal the missive. His greedy little eyes beamed at the sight and swiftly he was on his feet and bee-lining towards me. A slight smile revealed itself upon my lips before fading a way just as quickly as I placed the scroll in his grasp.

"To Port Cos, do not return until it is done and you have documents to show for it. You will be paid upon return, more if you hurry. "

My instructions were given precisely. The young man gave a curt nod of his head and turned into the traffic of bodies headed towards the docks. He wasn't one to dally. I watched him vanish into the crowd.

Missive Receipt and Bill of Sell to be documented here upon receipt.

[-Hall of Sulport-]
Is within the Main gathering Hall. Surrounded by the warmth of the many blazing fires and scents of freshly cooked food oozing in from the kitchens. Gentle music dances through the air from the roaming lute players. The Hall is mostly for residents of Sulport and any uninvited guests will be stopped by the guards at the doors.

says to ALL: I knelt demurely at a low table, forearms perched lightly on the table's edging as I partook a small meal. Several small plates had been arranged before me, a delicious variety of things. My eyes examined each plate in turn before I lifted the goblet of wine to my lips and took the smallest sip. The meal was well prepared and tang of cooked meat decorated the air so that I could already taste it's succulence. Once the goblet was returned to the tables surface, a small silver eating prong was taken in hand. A sliver of the sliced bosk was forked and a delicate bite was taken. I enjoyed the silence of the hall and for once, felt completely at ease.

Each bite was taken carefully, slowly, so that not a drip would soil the soft material of my robes. Light from the hearth played in shadows over the table, causing the gold emblishment of my robes to seemingly dance in flaming hues. I chewed silently, lost in thoughts about the villa, the coin and trade alliances. I knew there would be some who would not take kindly to the cancellation of contracts. But there was little they could do about it now.

When the door of the hall swept open, my focus never wavered from my meal. In moments, I realized the messenger I had sent to Port Cos only a few days earlier now stood beside my table, waiting for some kind of acknowledgment. For a moment I ignored him, swallowing the tender meat that was in my mouth and lifting the goblet for yet another dainty sip of wine. It was then that I would address him, though my gaze had yet to lift from the meal I was consuming.

"You have something for me, yes?"

His view was the profile of my face for a long moment before I choose to look upon him. Beneath the deliberate slowness of my gaze he stood upright, straightening himself to his full height. Pale eyes of luminescent green studied him in the silence, as if he'd forgotten I spoken or perhaps had not heard me. Dark waves lazed around the small of an oval face, spilling back along my shoulders. His eyes it seemed, followed those darkness of those spirals for a moment longer before pulling swiftly to my face. At once he cleared his throat, thrusting towards me a purse of coin and yet another scroll. "Oh, yes Valia...Lady..Lady Valia. As you said, quickly."

I returned the eating prong to the platter and relieved him of both the coin-purse and the scroll. From the purse at my belt, I gifted him several coppers of which he took thankfully and departed the hall rather swiftly. The purse of coin was sat upon the table, the scroll next to it. And once more, I resumed my meal in peace.

says to ALL: With the prong in hand, I speared some of the thinly sliced onions and peppers, and took another bite. And while I alternated between the meat and vegetables, my eyes looked upon the purse of coin and the sealed scroll that lay beside it. The Villa, I knew, would sell quickly. It sat upon a choice plot of land, was finely built and hosted it's own bath. The inner courtyard had boasted a fruit producing garden and was beautifully manicured. As I gazed upon the scroll, my eyes shifted to the wax seal and the emblem revealed therein. My teeth clenched together, the line of my jaw tensing as I recognized that of house Lourdes. The Lady Inna had always envied the villa, the twit who thought herself the beauty of all of Gor. And there were many who might have believed it, the way she secreted her face away behind the layering of veils like some vain bosk. But I knew her secret. A dark amusement festered in the depths of my gaze as I thought on what was hidden beneath that material.....the tarsk-nosed hussy. It kind of perturbed me to think of her enjoying my villa. The villa. Her villa. I reached for the goblet and drank down a small sampling.

I exhaled slowly, breaking the pieces of bread into bite size morsels and took one into my mouth. The coin and scroll would not be handled until I had finished my meal but it was curious eyes that wondered how much she had paid. Lady Inna was a greedy little thing and I hoped she'd offered well above the reasonable price in order to get her hands on the property.

says to ALL: When I had enough of the meat and veggies, I pushed those plates aside and drew to me, the last of them. Beneath the domed lid was a small bowl of fruit. Steam wafted in delicate vapors as I sliced into the pitted half of the yellow flesh with the prong. The rich fragrance of the peach lifted to my nose and I inhaled it lightly. My mouth began to water with the percieved sweetness. A small piece was speared upon the prongs and lifted to my mouth. The peach had been poached in honey and spiced with cinnamon and nearly melted in my mouth. It was probably, the most delicious thing I had ever tasted. I would savor this first taste, chewing slowly until there was nothing left. Several more small bites were taken and it seemed each one was richer, more savory than the last. The peach was sinfully good cooked in such a manner. I think perhaps, I now had a new favorite.

When the last of the peach was gone, the silver eating prong was left inside the bowl. A napkin of rep was dabbed along the corners of my mouth. Taking the goblet once more, I drank the last of the wine it held. The combination of the foods had been most pleasing and the meal itself left me feeling satisfied.
