(09/15/14 17:51:51 ) [.Deaths Lady.] V A L I A |.MERCHANT OF SULPORT.| [-Hall of Sulport-] Is within the Main gathering Hall. Surrounded by the warmth of the many blazing fires and scents of freshly cooked food oozing in from the kitchens. Gentle music dances through the air from the roaming lute players. The Hall is mostly for residents of Sulport and any uninvited guests will be stopped by the guards at the doors. says to .V O L S T A G G of S U : The slow descent of the sun painted the sky in pastel hues, clouds hung amid all those beautiful colors as though waiting for the next breeze. It was one of those days where it was warm in the sun, but cold in the shade and on this day, the winds that played over the city held the promise of a coming chill. It was that cool breeze that cherried the artful slope of my cheeks, the porcelain skin left glowing with a natural blush. I climbed the stairs at an even pace, having grown accustomed to the climb. Eyes of sheer green turned to overlook the city as each step took me higher, altering the perspective of everything in sight. I enjoyed this part, more than I realized, my gaze following the coil of streets that flowed naturally towards the market and then towards the docks. When the steps leveled, my gaze shifted to the guards flanking the large doors of the hall. Sturdy looking young men who were swift to pull open the doors, their movements held that certain precision that proclaimed some kind of militant training. Their eyes, it seemed, were hungry for battle and there was a seriousness to their faces as they performed their duties swiftly. A smile of pride was half-hidden in the curl of my lips as I passed by them and into the hall. There were many rumors floating about Sulport this eve and I would see with my owns the truth of things. I passed within, a cloak drawn over the perch of slender shoulders to flow down the line of my frame, a curtain of darkness that shadowed me. A braided band of black leather crowned my forehead, holding captive the mane of obsidian waves that fell to frame the small of an oval face. Those pale eyes reflected back the soft glow of the fires as my gaze moved among the faces of those gathered within the hall. I caught pieces of conversation as I weaved among the tables but those eyes sought only one and once found, both my gaze and destination were made obvious. The promise of a smile whispered along my lips but had yet to reveal itself. "Volstagg...".. Your name broke the press of my lips. There was more to be said but it would wait until I slipped around to the right side of your chair and leant down so that I might speak quietly. "...I am pleased to see you home. You look very..." My words forgotten then as my gaze slid slowly over your face, watching the play of light in the blue of your eyes. Your absence had felt like an eternity to me. "I am happy to see you." My hand settled to your forearm for a brief moment before sliding away. It was good to see you. It was always good to see you....even when it wasn't. That smile would slowly form, warming etheral features with the truth. Only then would I withdraw to claim my usual chair. (09/15/14 18:10:03 ) .V O L S T A G G of S U L P O R T. It was quite busy today but through the parting in the crowds, I saw you. Watching in silence as you moved towards Me. I didn't move an inch as you circled my chair to move towards my right side. Your near presence drawing forth a different type of growl that washed up my throat. When your hand slipped away and you began to retreat, I rose from my throne, My empty right hand chasing yours to claim it by the wrist, Powerful fingers coiling around flesh to hold but not hurt. My left hand had clamped around the axe and it dragged from the table in my wake as you were pushed towards one of the alcoves.- “Valia.” -I said in a thick accent. I pushed you backwards to fall down upon a cushioned platform. A bench of sorts. I did not draw the large drape-like curtain, I left it open, it was not as though I intended to rape you...- “My mind drew thoughts of you whilst I was away patrolling, And I made this.” -I let go of your wrist now and my hand dipped into the folds of my leather tunic. Moments later and I pulled out a dagger. It was not quite the chunky knife one like -Me- would favour. It was small, slick, and surgical. The blade was straight and double edged, Made of refined steel, razor sharp and taken from my own arsenal. But I had removed the Hilt completely. There was a small silver cross guard now in place and the grip was carved from Larl bone and wrapped in twisted coils of leather for a better hold. I had specifically fashioned it to fit the shape of your hand. Finally, the last modification had been the pommel. The “cap” of the hilt. It was not bone, nor silver, nor steel. Instead, it was a perfectly rounded and perhaps familiar Bloodstone...- ”For You.” (09/15/14 18:45:05 ) [.Deaths Lady.] V A L I A |.MERCHANT OF SULPORT.| [-Hall of Sulport-] Is within the Main gathering Hall. I paused, caught in your clutch, wide eyed and silent. Perhaps it was the sound the axe made as you drug it from the tables surface or merely the way my name sounded almost foreign. Much had changed about you but still, you were familiar to me. I felt as though many lifes had come and gone but I must have known you in all of them. I gained my footing with your -k-ind guidance and found us suddenly in a slightly secluded alcove. The mysteriousness of this intrigued me. And as I was pushed onto the cushioned platform, I manage to seat myself no less gracefully than ever. Curious eyes lifted to your face then as you spoke, my gaze following your hand as you pressed into the folds of your tunic to withdraw a dagger. My lips parted and the softest gasp escaped before I could control it. The soft beating of my heart suddenly exploded in my chest. I had never been gifted something .....so beautiful and yet deadly. From the small sivler cross guard to the carved bone, small for my grip and....the bloodstone. By the gods it was a wicked thing. Made by you....for me. I almost could not wrap my mind around such a thing. "You did this...for me?" Clearly, I almost could not believe it. The bloodstone had been given to you so long ago that I thought it lost. Or forgotten. Diamond eyes stared at you as if seeing you for the very first time. I was on my feet before I even realized it, the distance between us gone. Appreciation and respect burned in the depths of pale eyes and something more....the adoration I felt was entirely revealed. "It is beautiful. And I will cherish it always. Thank you." Rather you realized it or not, the gift you'd given me was far greater than the blade in your hand. I lifted upon the toes of my boots, my hand braced lightly the center of your chest so that I could press a chaste kiss to your lips. And it wasn't a matter of you allowing a hug, for one was forced upon you anyway. I whispered into the curve your neck.. "Thank you." Carefully, I'd slide away, more aware of the blade now, a half-crooked grin was given life. (09/15/14 18:59:18 ) .V O L S T A G G of S U L P O R T. My body stiffened, not through discomfort but through the battle to control myself as I tasted you. A taste both familiar and yet forgotten, when your body pressed up against mine in that embrace, and the lash of your breath against my throat, I growled quietly. I felt shackled, hands full with axe in one and knife in the other, I could not reach out and I wondered if that gave you a dark thrill.... When you chose to slip away, my stoic expression had faded slightly and their was something wild in my feral blue gaze as it regarded you. My breathing was controlled and I held the knife out for you to take, the slight flick of the wrist ensured you could take the grip and left me holding the blade.- -There was no scabbard for the blade. I was no seamstress and that piece of equipment would be left to You. As for the dagger, I had worked in darkness, within the woods as I had strolled along. At some points, I had been forced to stop, to focus on the task in full. And then the stone had been prepared by a Jeweller who had dug out a “screwing” hole. I had used a sealing cement like mixture on the screw and twisted the stone on tightly. It was now well and truly set and would not come off. Over all it was a well made weapon and I released it into your claim should you choose to take it.- -The hall grew quieter and I saw a few take their leave but remained standing before you in the alcove for a moment. And area tucked in against the side of the main hearth. My hand once again empty would rise out to claim the cup of your chin and I stepped in, uncaring if I should impale myself upon your new dagger, this time It was I who stole a kiss. My lips parted only barely to allow the flick of my tongue to scratch against the opening of your mouth when my lips crushed yours. It was a lot rougher than what You had offered, but just as brief and I moved back to return your personal space to you.- ”Keep it concealed and Don't let it be found in your hand when in this hall. Unless war rages on the steps.” You would need to design a sheath that hid the blade from the eyes of others.- (09/15/14 19:19:08 ) [.Deaths Lady.] V A L I A |.MERCHANT OF SULPORT.| [-Hall of Sulport-] Is within the Main gathering Hall. But the admission that had come before it. I had to wonder at times and that left me to feel....adrift. Lost. I had only come to realize that you are my anchor, keeping me solid in times when I knew not even myself. It was gift beyond anything I could have ever dreamt. Staring up into your face with your hands full, there was much that gave me a sudden thrill and those bright eyes would lift to yours whispering the deviousness of thoughts that dared to slide through my mind. When you offered the hilt just so, I was careful to curl the fingers of my left hand around the smooth bone that made the handle and draw it carefully from your grasp. It felt good in my hand, fitting with a perfection I could not have expected. Of course, you had carved it for me but how you could do so with such precision astonished me. My hand fell to my side, the blade pointed tip down. It was good timing, too, as your fingers found grip upon my chin and guided my face upwards. I did not close my eyes but watched as your face grew so close to mine, taking my lips in a kiss that burned the air from my lungs like fire. It was but a moment and yet the feelings lingered within me. The pink of my tongue glossed the swollen flesh of just-kissed lips, taking away the taste of you. "I will keep it out of sight, as you say." I was lucky to be wearing the long, dark cloak this night and the blade vanished into the pleating. A wicked smile dared to play upon my lips then, like magic my hands were suddenly empty as I lifted them to show you with a flash of palms and the wiggle of fingers. I simply nodded when you confirmed my words and looked towards the hall, the day was drawing to its end and I considered perhaps returning to that derelict compound. I stepped towards the opening of the archway and muttered quietly with my back to You- ”Thank You.” |
