(10/26/14 05:10:56 ) Kanady Slaver Rules for F.V.S.H. - Sulport - [-Hall of Sulport-] Is within the Main gathering Hall. Surrounded by the warmth of the many blazing fires and scents of freshly cooked food oozing in from the kitchens. Gentle music dances through the air from the roaming lute players. The Hall is mostly for residents of Sulport and any uninvited guests will be stopped by the guards at the doors. says to ALL: I looked up at the top of the hall from the ground and thought that was a long way up there. I was armed with a long rope with a four hook hunk of metal tied to the end, but I'm still thinking it's at least 30 or 40' to the top of the roof. But if I went to the steps and tossed it up to the roof of the porch, climbed up and then tossed it to the roof from there that should work better. Last night had taken a turn that I had not seen coming. It isn't that I have a complete aversion to having a mate, but he would have to be a man of integrity, and someone I respected. Jakal just was not all that. In fact there would just have to be more than integrity and respect, that was just a starting point. The bag with the head was at my feet and I picked up all my gear so that I could take it to the front of the hall and once there, raced up the steps and tossed the large hook upward toward the roof. It took a few tries, but finally it caught. The bag was looped over my shoulder by it's strap so that I was able to climb. This was more difficult than I had thought, but my hand finally reached over the top for the cornice and then my right leg was swung, and hooked over the ledge so that I was able to leverage myself onto the roof. Once rising to my feet the rope was being pulled up, loop over loop and each time it was being gripped in my hand until again I held it. Then I moved so that I was standing just under the peak of the larger roof. Again tossing the large hook upward and again it took a few tries, but finally it caught and I started the climb all over again, lucky for me this was not as far to climb and so I reached the peak quickly and carried the prize to an empty stake. I was careful with the round head so that it didn't roll away from me. So before it was removed from the bag I maneuvered it until it was neck down and then with both hands gripping the ears I shoved it down onto the upthrust spike. I didn't take time to look at it, what was done is done and now I was able to return to the ground. When my feet hit the smaller roof I reached up and started flipping the rope in order to dislodge the hook. This was proving to be harder than getting it up there. Suddenly though it came falling toward me and I took off, backing away from it's cascading fall. Now the last leg of this project, the hook was caught again and the end of the rope tossed down to the steps below and I slid as quickly as possible down, then struggled until the hook came crashing down and it was done, finished and Sulport would move onward. |

I looked up to the Hall doorway, noticing the fresh face of the drunk Jakal staring down at me. Hadn't I just practically cut his ankle off last week....since I wasn't to kill him? I smirked, knowing he would end up here sooner or later.......for he didn't know when to shut up. Sul Paga was bad for you.....this proved it. I pulled my bota of sulport's best wicked creation........sul paga and took a long swig. Since when did I worry what was bad for me? But....this showed my honor spar had been a waste of time....but I had 'tried' to teach the man. Unfortunately, he didn't learn very quickly. |
