[-Hall of Sulport-]
Is within the Main gathering Hall. Surrounded by the warmth of the many blazing fires and scents of freshly cooked food oozing in from the kitchens. Gentle music dances through the air from the roaming lute players. The Hall is mostly for residents of Sulport and any uninvited guests will be stopped by the guards at the doors.

says to ALL: I settled comfortably within my chair, claiming the quiet of the hall as my sanctuary on this cold and windy night. Was it something in air or was it just me? I felt the bite of it deep into my bones. Bones that felt hollow and unreal. My gaze was fixed in a dead stare, those pale eye reflecting back the dance of flame and little else.

[-Fields-]
Is working on one of the farms scattered around the fields that surround Sulport on its West and Eastern sides.

says to ALL: I could not understand it. The pull of the moons like poison in my blood, my touch a toxic and tainted thing. A silent snarl played at my lips, a glimpse of pristine white teeth between the drawn flesh. I closed my eyes, turning my face from the glow of the fire. The view of features lost in shadow and a spill of hair blacker than black, the canvas of skin like ivory in comparison. Feeling the quake of breath tremble within my lungs with every slow pull of air.... it wasn't enough. I inhaled sharply through the small part of lips and held that air captive for a long moment. Delicate was the trace of fingertips around the smallness of my chin.

As I rose from my seat, I was suddenly staring at the fire again. It was hypnotizing. I lost myself to it for a moment before realizing I stood stateusque within the hall, alone. Alone. The thought echoed through my mind with the weight of the ocean. How easy it was to drown, to suffocate, in a room full of air.

I turned my back to the fire and walked away. To the doors, down the stairs and out into the street. Drawing the hood of my cloak, I continued forward. One step, into another step, into a series of steps until I was well past the gates and into the fields.

[-Wild Tarsk Woods-]
Somewhere within the large thicket of ancient trees that sits halfway between Sulport and Fina. It acts as a borderline for the two homes and with a shady unstable peace treaty in play; neither side dare cross into the others territory through fear of causing a full blown war.

says to ALL: I stayed to the boundary of peasant fields that would eventually merge with the woods. Here, my steps were faster. The trimoons shone brightly upon the fields, bathing them in light. I moved nearer the tree line seeking out the break that would take me in the direction of a house...in the trees. Every step was one step closer. I could not stop myself. One step, two steps, three.... I continued...counting them all, every single one. Even as the acreage grew denser and more wild, booted feet trekked easily among the carpet of roots, rocks and leaves...it was nothing more than a mosaic of wild to which I'd become accustomed.

[- The Stream -]
A serene stream that runs all through Wild Tarsk Woods and out across the peasant fields. The stream is not connected to the Vosk and the water is fresh. In parts, the stream is no more than one foot shallow, in other parts it is said to be twenty foot deep. Following the stream would cause you to encounter a couple of rocky waterfalls in the woods as well as a small fishing pond.

says to ALL: In the dark, the lyric of water over rock drew me towards it. I followed the whisper of it, the sound growing louder and more distinct with every step. When finally I found it, I walked along the gravel embankment. The land sloped naturally towards the bed of water that had cut its path long before any of us had ever existed. I knew not if it was simply momentum or gravity that drew me, but I found myself standing at the waters edge. The waters surface reflected back the black of the sky and the glittering of stars like diamonds. I stooped down, my hands cupped to capture the darkness and drink it down.

The water was frigid, stinging my hands like icy fire. I ignored it. Drinking until I could drink no more...despite the lingering thirst. A flash of light drew my gaze to the sky and I watched as a star blazed across the inky vastness. That single star burned brighter and longer than any other...and then its brilliance faded to nothing. The other stars remained, still shimmering and beautiful but somehow less than they had been.

A serene stream that runs all through Wild Tarsk Woods and out across the peasant fields. The stream is not connected to the Vosk and the water is fresh. In parts, the stream is no more than one foot shallow, in other parts it is said to be twenty foot deep. Following the stream would cause you to encounter a couple of rocky waterfalls in the woods as well as a small fishing pond.

says to ALL: I continued to walk, following the stream and its rocky bed as it veered and the terrain changed. I could hear the quiet roar of a waterfall. I proceeded towards the source of the sound. Never had I ventured out this far and the area was unfamiliar to me. I squinted in the dark trying to see, careful of my footing with the loose rock and suddenly found myself upon a rock shelf and the stream poured over its razor sharp edges. I came nearly to an abrupt stop, my foot sliding on the slickened surface of the rocks. I felt it happening in slow motion as I fell. I thought I should have been able to stop it and yet.... I plummeted over that edge and into the water below.

I choked on the water as I hit the surface, like slamming into concrete. The momentum of the waterfalls sucked me under, pinning me to the gravel bed below the waters surface. The rocks and debris churned here like being caught in an underwater tornado. Water, like ice, filled my lungs as I sought to break free of the current. And just when I thought I had had enough, the currents released me. I kicked with my feet, pulled with my hands and arms through the water until I found the surface. I swam to the waters edge, exhausted, I clawed my way up the waters edge. An annoying sound filled my head and I realized it was the chatter of my teeth. I managed to drag myself from the water before I could no longer move. It was then I felt the clamp of fingers around my wrist, strong was the pull that drug me upwards and too my feet. My eyes lifted and widened at the face I found staring back at me. Savitar. His was the last face I seen before true darkness overwhelmed me.

[-VELOX FLUVIUS IMPORTS-]

Near or within the rock-faced building that houses the headquarters of Velox Fluvius Imports, seated just a stone's throw from the docks of Sulport.
says to ALL: So cold. It was the clatter of my teeth that woke me. Wrapped in layers of furs, I had curled into a small ball upon the chaise lounge. My head pounded. The entirety of my body ached. The muscles in my limbs complained of every shift, every subtle movement. A cringe was drawn tightly upon the curve of lips as I sat upright. In flashes of shadow, I recognized the familiar surroundings of my compartment above the office. The brazier had dimmed and the heat it provided was nill. I wrapped the furs tighter about me. I had suffered the most horrid of dreams. My gaze fell upon an empty wine carafe, a goblet fallen upon the floor so that half its contents had spilled in shades of burgundy across the floor. The wine might explain the pounding headache and the horrid dreams of drowning...if I had truly drank the entire thing by myself. Perhaps...I had.

I lent down to retrieve the goblet and muscles screamed silently in the long stretch. The tips of fingers grasped the stem of the vessel and lifted it towards my face. I inhaled softly, detecting the sweet wine and the tinge of potentcy. It was my favorite new vintage. And I had not partook of it in quite some time. My stomach churned queasy. I sat the goblet upon the low table and drew the sleeping furs tighter about my body. I would need larger braziers if I were to survive the winter. It was far to cold for my liking. I could not stop the rattle of my teeth or the shivering of flesh despite the layering of furs around me. I felt frozen to the bone.

My mind flashed on the rampant currents of cold water and a face but the images vanished as I blinked my eyes. A memory? Part of the dream? A single hand smoothed over the skin of my face as if to wipe away the sleep that clung to me even now.

says to ALL: A slide of pale eyes as my gaze shifted about the interior of my quarters. I lay down, adjusting the furs around me for comfort. When I stretched out I realized I was still dressed, even my boots remained on my feet. And I noted my robes felt...damp. I must have broken a sweat in the night. Perhaps I was coming down with sickness. The body aches, the misery, the pounding of my temples. I was definitely ill. I pulled the furs up beneath the crook of my chin and curled on my side beneath them. My eyes closed but sleep did not come. Instead I just lay there, listening to the sounds of the docks as they drifted through the lattice-covered balcony.
