(11/08/14 17:40:46 ) p s y c H O T i c "PSYCHE" If I can't be your dream, I'll be your nightmare. Believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear. : She had waited purposely for the weakening of the day, when the sun had made its slow decent from the heavens to leave the sky in darkness. Stars shimmered across the horizon, casting an etheral quality over the stadiums. It was a slow progression, the stalking glide of the woman turned larl. A gait both regal and leisurely, her mask extended to full costume and this night, she had embodied the psyche of her totem spirit. A hood fashioned into a tufted mane of white and silver shimmered around the bone-white mask, her face hidden behind the exotic features of the wild beast. The cloak of white fur wrapped loosely, falling from her shoulders and clinging to the line of her back only to be drawn about the slender length of her frame and secured with the various placing of buckles. Beneath the fur, robes of white sheathed what little was visible of the body beneath. Elbow length gloves of black leather adorned small hands, each finger baring ornaments of bone sharpened to resemble the most vicious of claws. It was the small details that made the costume so much more. So real. She was lost to the majesty of such a creature. The mask was larger than her face, triangular in shape and obscuring the majority of the face behind it. It peaked just above the cupids bow of generous lips. The perpetual pout of her mouth framed by the protrusion of elongated canines, their sharpness glistened true to life. Beyond the mask's boundary it was only the distinctive line of a female jaw that was visible. A long mane extended around the mask, layers of fur drifted down to caress her neck and shoulders before spilling in the fashion of gossamer-silk to reach the small of her back. The exotic tilt of inhuman eyes feasted on the sights, the slit of eyes veiled from the inside by opaque material of black. On this night, the Feast of Fools, she was not herself. She was the larl. The queen of beasts turned human and born to flesh. Slow was her passing among the throng of people. The masked-face turned reverently to observe them each and every one. It was a sea of foreign faces that stared back at her. Their identities lost for the time being. (11/08/14 17:56:22 ) p s y c H O T i c "PSYCHE" If I can't be your dream, I'll be your nightmare. Believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear. : She circled the groups of people watching them from afar, like the predator stalking its prey. A smile broke viciously, glimpsed only briefly as she claimed a vacant bench as her throne. She sat down, arm curling lightly over the railing in much the manner as a feline tail might drape and swish in lazy motion. The curl of fingers flashed dangerously with the ornamental nails carved of bone. An exhaled breath plumed softly, dancing the silvery mane around her mask. Believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to ALL: As it appeared there was to be a spar, she shifted upon her seating. The view of the sands were prime. A leather-clad hand gripped lightly the banister, there was the click of nails in tandem. She watched the combatants, wondering who would be the victor. Both men seemed capable and moved with the familiarity of those used to battle. (11/08/14 18:24:07 ) p s y c H O T i c "PSYCHE" If I can't be your dream, I'll be your nightmare. Believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to Hinti: The abyss of eternal eyes watched you, fighting the sudden urge to scratch the talon of nails over fur. Believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to TyRenCome to Snuff the R: The larl-masked woman turned to watch the man upon the sands. He appeared quite the bully but somehow soft and edible. Behind the mask she watched him. Her gaze turning next to his opponent. (11/08/14 18:38:23 ) ||| Man in the Hood ||| .ReVo. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to p s y c H O T i c : I had strolled through people, met some unique characters already and then I noticed the spar about to begin, the reason I had journeyed this far to begin with. I also noticed you standing by that railing and I was surprised to see you not busy like the other women, trying to hand out favours. I walked up to your side. I was dressed in leathers and my thick long sleeved tunic also had a thick hood that was pulled low to hide my brow and cast most of my face in shadows. “Tal, how are you enjoying the evening?” (11/08/14 18:39:02 ) p s y c H O T i c "PSYCHE" If I can't be your dream, I'll be your nightmare. Believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to steel is the coinage of : The larl-woman turned to watch as you took to the sands next. Noted was the stance and weaponry. Her gaze wandered between you and your opponent, hearing speak that the men fated to spar were of the same home. An interesting dilemma for that home? It would be interesting to see the outcome of such a tournament. (11/08/14 18:42:51 ) p s y c H O T i c "PSYCHE" If I can't be your dream, I'll be your nightmare. Believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to ||| Man in the Hood |||.: The masked face would turn slowly from the combatants upon the sands. Eyes hidden behind the black material shading the uptilt of feline eyes. It was as if she had not heard you for the moment or mayhap that she had not realized she was even there. Small hands, gloved in black leather, held to the railing as if it anchored her in place. You were a stranger to her and behind the mask, eyes narrowed. But it was a festival and the lines of her lips drew into a haunted smile. "Tal. The evening finds me...changed." (11/08/14 18:48:29 ) ||| Man in the Hood ||| .ReVo. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to p s y c H O T i c : I chuckled quietly as I watched you. Your mask was an interesting choice. I wore no mask but I did keep my head lowered and that hood was generous in its shelter. Your words were curious but then I suppose we were all changed this evening. The monsters were out to play.. “I notice you are not playing the favors? Do you not enjoy the games?” (11/08/14 18:52:21 ) p s y c H O T i c "PSYCHE" If I can't be your dream, I'll be your nightmare. Believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to ||| Man in the Hood |||.: Your features were lost to shadow, mask or not, your identity remained unknown to her. The smile held upon the precipice of her lips as you questioned her about the game of favors. A whisper of laughter fell near silent. "I enjoy the games. Watching them. But my favor has been bestowed upon one and I would not give it to another." It was a cheshire grin that formed as she spoke the words. If you had thought to trap her into some form of debt, you had underestimated the Larless. She'd sooner pick you from her teeth than to make such a foolish agreement. (11/08/14 18:57:59 ) ||| Man in the Hood ||| .ReVo. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to p s y c H O T i c : Upon your words, I smirked. You, pick Me out of your teeth? I would enjoy that no doubt, but I was not the prey this night, nor did I require tricking you into a debt. I leaned closer just a bit, the beak of my hood brushing your left temple just a bit as I quietly growled “You already Owe me all that you have to give.” I turned towards the battle then to enjoy the bloodshed in your company, the flicker of blue narrowing at the sight of two Sulportians preparing to fight for the title of champion. (11/08/14 19:05:10 ) p s y c H O T i c "PSYCHE" If I can't be your dream, I'll be your nightmare. Believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to ||| Man in the Hood |||.: She was the queen of this suburban jungle, at least for this night. It was silence that befell her as you leaned in and the softest growl trickled from her lips. The sound one of warning. It was true tonight was a festive night of games and activities, but there were still certain rules. There was the click of ornamental nails upon the railing as her grip tightened. "Perhaps soon, you will owe me." The gravel of her voice stained the ears with menace. The smile curling her lips now was one only you would have seen. (11/08/14 19:11:22 ) ||| Man in the Hood ||| .ReVo. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to p s y c H O T i c : I chuckled as I saw the two men raging on in battle. Both were fighting exceptionally well tonight, it could honestly go either way. When you spoke of owing you, I had no problem with that at all. I didn't fear debt, because I was willing, and able, to repay them. “Do Tell how I could end up owing you My Lady.. I am most curious to hear.” Indeed there were still rules in place here. We all wore masks, but we were still who we were behind them. We would not wake up tomorrow with memory loss. Still, I enjoyed the thought of you believing I would owe You, my mind began to filter through the possibilities of what exactly you would take from me if such a coming debt was fated to be. (11/08/14 19:20:25 ) p s y c H O T i c "PSYCHE" If I can't be your dream, I'll be your nightmare. Believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to ||| Man in the Hood |||.: Between the frame of dangerous canines came an exceptional smirk. She said nothing for the moment, watching the battle of men upon the sands. They were obviously skilled warriors and it seemed fitting that it tournament would be won by such. Her lips twitched, the movement barely a flicker, at the form of address you had assumed. Was it amusement or something more that caused such a subtle reaction. "What if I could return something to you?" She turned then to watch the shadows play over your features. It was haunting and mesmerizing but such was hidden behind the fierce expression of the larls face. (11/08/14 19:25:10 ) ||| Man in the Hood ||| .ReVo. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to p s y c H O T i c : I saw the battle come to an end and I straightened up ready to applaud with everybody else. But your words caught me off guard and I had not expected you to be able to offer such a thing as that. Immediately my mind began to whirl violently, seeking to run through a list of things I possessed that were missing. A quiver of red and black tipped arrows hung from my back but I carried no bow, still – even that was not lost. Merely, out of the way. ”What is it that you could return to me? And what makes you think I wish it returned?” -The wind was admittedly out of my control and it billowed just slightly, enough for the seeming glow of penetrating blue eyes to regard you. Staring through the mask you wore as though it did not even exist. (11/08/14 19:31:09 ) p s y c H O T i c "PSYCHE" If I can't be your dream, I'll be your nightmare. Believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to ||| Man in the Hood |||.: Her mouth twisted slyly as the seed was planted. You could search your person, your belongings and still you would not know. Her chin pulled towards the sands, applause given as the two men had fought well. It was a travesty that so many had missed the opportunity to witness them. "Something you thought lost and gone forever. You want it. I can hear the want of it in your voice, even if only because you fail to realize what it is. I will tell you. But you will owe me, do you agree?" You had a way of looking at her, as if seeing all there was to see. And she believed it. (11/08/14 19:35:18 ) ||| Man in the Hood ||| .ReVo. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to p s y c H O T i c : I arched a brow, you wouldn't see it as the hood was settled again and my face shrouded in the shadows of the evening. Your words challenged me, not a formal challenge of course, but one that forced my mind to try and recall what this could be. Ultimately I did not hesitate, I was not afraid to take a leap when I needed to. ”Yes, I agree to your terms.” I was turned to face you directly now, my attention unwavering as I waited to see what it may be. Was it a trick? Perhaps. But I did not fear that either. I took a step closer to you, invading your personal space as your scent flared my nostrils. A Scent that could never be hidden, a scent that I would always know. (11/08/14 19:43:31 ) p s y c H O T i c "PSYCHE" If I can't be your dream, I'll be your nightmare. Believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to ||| Man in the Hood |||.: She had turned to face you, your rapid reply fired demandingly. A single hand lifted from the railing, the leather palm pressed to the line of your chest as you moved in swifter than the shadows that had marked you with darkness. Was it by chance or deliberate that the curved nail of bone found the smallest hole in the material spanning your chest? That sharp talon caught flesh as she leaned in closer. The light fragrance of her perfume would fill your lungs and beneath it, the scent of her skin. In a single breath she drew you in, your scent was one born of the crisp edge of a winters wind and the pine of the woods, the darkness of night and the metallic whisper of blood. The masked face uptilted slightly as she moved towards the bend of your neck to whisper what it was she had to give you. "I have given you...hope." The words, whispered warmly against the line of your jaw. She lingered, drawing away slowly. 11/08/14 19:48:30 ) ||| Man in the Hood ||| .ReVo. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to p s y c H O T i c : I didn't react as your hand pressed to my chest, that single “claw” breaching the tear in this crudely made hunter's garb. I heard your words and I smirked. You had taken the lead it would seem. No longer was I chapters ahead. Touché. Eventually a quiet devious laughter rippled from my lips as you began to draw away. I perhaps could not deny this. But perhaps I would have vengeance over your victory here. Perhaps I would take your hope from You. But it would seem that for now. I was indeed within your debt. ”Sneaky Woman.” (11/08/14 19:52:12 ) p s y c H O T i c "PSYCHE" If I can't be your dream, I'll be your nightmare. Believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear. -- Is in the stands of the Stadium -- says to ||| Man in the Hood |||.: You did not deny it. That was all it took for the revelation of a triumphant smile. The masked tipped forward, the mane of silver and white spilling over slender shoulders as she inclined her head to you in a manner befitting of royalty. "Like calls to like." |
