[-Volstagg’s Compound-]
A secluded Compound behind the Hall of Sulport. The compound itself is mostly hidden by two large warehouses. A guarded iron gate sits between them, leading into the bottle neck entrance of the compounds garden. The building is erected around the edge of the concrete garden on a square foundation, offering space and privacy to all within its walls.

says to ALL: The journey back from Skjern had been swift and uneventful. My mood was grim and my left handed grip upon that bearded axe was white knuckled. As soon as the ship docked, I was leaping over the railing and landing upon the wooden walk way. I passed on through to the streets and stalked away, barging through the crowds. They would either part to let me through, or they would be knocked to the ground and crushed beneath my heel. I passed through the market and ignored the Hall, instead heading straight for my compound. When I reached that alley's mouth I saw that the gate was closed and my booted foot rose with a slamming kick that launched it off its hinges.-

-A Berserker had heard the commotion and came running around the corner to investigate. The moment He did, I struck him in the face with a straight punch that launched him onto his back. I didn't pause in my stride until I was standing over him with my feet planted either side of his hips. I brought that left held axe up and around before whipping it down in an overhead chop. That vertical cleave collided with the center of his face and near on split it in two. I swung again … and again … until nothing remained but a twitching dead spider-like mutation.-

-My steps continued as I walked away from him, moving further into the courtyard and leaving a trail of blood behind that dripped from the 11inch cutting edge of my axe.

says to ALL: -I saw one of the working slaves move by Me carrying an armful of timber. My empty right hand shot out to claim the back of his head, snatching a fistful of hair before I proceeded to slam his face into the wall. The first blow broke his nose. The second blow sank that nose into his face... I brought his head back with a tug of that hair only to smash it forward. Blood sprayed all up the wall and I continued to launch his face against that stone until I saw brain matter.-

-I let go of his hair and watched his body fall to the ground. When I turned around... I saw three more slaves standing there … staring at Me... Blood smeared my face and a muscle ticked against the line of my jaw... I started to walk towards them...-

-My axe cut up and across towards my right, its cutting edge slicing into the neck of the nearest slave... As his head bounced away I snatched for the second, squeezing his neck until I heard it crunch like the sinking of teeth into a crisp apple.-

-The Third male slave fell to his knees and started to beg mercy. My response came in the form of my heel driven up into his left eye socket. He fell back with a cry and spray of blood. I passed a couple of minutes by stomping on his head until it caved in.-

says to ALL: I stood beneath the palisade at the far end of the courtyard, behind me, a few mere paces from me were the stairs that would lead up to Volstagg's private quarters. My gaze traveled over the courtyard. Slaves worked in unison, breaking free the inlaid stones with the hammering of axes. Metal rang as it bit into stone, the force enough to rattle the teeth inside my head. There was not pity to be seen in the pale eyes that shifted in constant survey. As the stones were broken apart, others hauled away the debris.

Scaffolding climbed the wall, allowing builders access to the second floor. The rooms on the north and south ends would become balconies, once construction was completed. It was a loss of rooms but a loss I did not think would be felt. These rooms were currently unoccupied and empty of contents. Updates on the excavation of stone had been sent and the scrolls waited for my attention at the office. The masons had the measurements and knew exactly how much stone would be required to complete the task to satisfaction. They had shown great skill in the rebuild of the city walls and I had complete confidence in their ability to produce quality work in a timely fashion. It was coming together slowly but there was progress.

My mind drifted to thoughts of the one thing I had not yet been able to acquire. Lips pressed together silently in thought as I began to pace the length of that covered walk way. The dark mane of hair bled into a cloak of black, so that I faded into the darkness. Robes of gold caught in the breeze and stride of pace, a flash of that metallic fabric in the shadows revealing my location. It was the commotion of violence that drew my attention. Thoughts of construction and excavation falling away as my eyes sought the source of that sound. I turned, moving towards the staircase in the event I needed to get out of sight. Savitar was here, somewhere, likely watching for beserkers but I had not seen his face stalking my shadow as he usually had.

says to [.Deaths Lady.]V A L I A: -All of the workers dropped their tools at the sight of death and suddenly fled the courtyard. Leaving you Alone now. Even the rest of the Berserkers were nowhere to be seen. I stepped back from the latest body and turned to watch them. Perhaps I would have all of them put to death for leaving their stations. A mass execution. That sounded just lovely... As a wild, rabid glare assessed the area around Me, I saw movement and something moving towards the stairs... It was You.-

-I turned around on the spot to face You and started to make my way the rest of the way across the courtyard. Coming to a stop 10ft away from You. I said nothing, I merely stared at you. I wore black leathers that were now splattered with blood, flesh, and bone. It was smeared across my face, scalp, and neck. My right hand was empty and fingers were coated in the slick red crimson of life.. My axe hung in my left hand, chunks of skin clinging to the blade as it dripped a puddle of blood at my side.... A Low growl rumbled its way up my throat but my glare pulled from you, towards the form that stepped out of the shadows and at your right side... Savitar.-

says to .V O L S T A G G of the : There seemed to be mass confusion, as slaves abandoned tools and work, scurrying like ants beneath a sudden down pour. My gaze cut across this fiasco, pretty features frozen in a mask of anger. I did not understand what was happening. In movement of the crowd that fled, there was one form cutting through it. Familiar was the deadly stride and the phsyique that parted the crowd and in that moment of clarity, I easily identifed You. My path haulted as I turned to face you. I took a single step towards you, emerging from the darkness of the palisade and into the courtyard itself. Soft solded boots were silent upon the naked earth, the stones at this end of the courtyard gone.

My gaze traveled up your body to find your face. The gore that decorated you had no effect on me. I had seen you like this before and would likely again. Blood and thicker things pooled upon the broken stones that lay like a wasteland around you. The effect was striking and perhaps I should have felt fear. Steps sounded from the shadows as Savitar came forward. I was aware of his sudden appearance but my eyes remained fixed on you.

My voice carried to you. Calm and steady despite the gore and death.

"What is the meaning of this?"

I didn't react right away, Your words rolled through my mind, Perhaps those words were truly irritating to Me, or perhaps it was my already agitated and feral mood that inflated them into something intolerable.-

”Do I have to explain myself to You?”

-I took another step forward, down to 6ft and this time Savitar stepped forward to. Moving slightly in front of you to keep you safe no doubt. How Noble and honourable of him. My right hand snapped out to claim him by the throat as my gaze remained upon You this time. I had no desire to look upon his face as I slowly started to choke the life out of him.

says to .V O L S T A G G of the : Those pale eyes clashed with yours in silent violence. The air was ripe with peril. I held my ground, moving neither closer nor away from you. Your words felt bitter and the line of my body stiffened perceptibly.

"No, you do not."

The words were spoken softer than usual, instincts taking over. I did not wish a quarrel with you. The explosiveness of your actions had spoken so loudly that even the deaf would hear.

As you closed the distance between us, I refused to move. My life was already forfeit. But I was no coward and I would not run from you. I did not expect Savitar to step between us. A gasp broke the line of my lips as your hand claimed grip about his throat. I could hear the rasp of his breath as he struggled to inhale. My gaze turned to watch the color of his face as it changed in hue. It was a brief glimpse and my eyes snapped back to you. It did not matter to me if he lived or died. I would never have expected him to stand against you. Especially on my behalf.

says to .V O L S T A G G of the : The gasp had been one of simple shock, the unexpected moment I could have never seen coming. I despised the man and would never trust him. Despite the fact that you seemed to. I had been so focused on you that I did not see him pull the blade. A glimpse of metal as he stabbed at you and a ragged breath was hissed through my lips. Delicate hands lifted to cover my mouth, to contain the scream that had began to build in the depths of my throat.

As you released Savitar, he was not the only one to stagger back. I put distance between you, him and myself--unable to tear my eyes away from the blade as it remained fixed inside of you. I wanted to convince myself it was a nightmare. But the moment Savitar started to rattle on and the knife was flung to the ground...I began my retreat. I caught the glimpse of your eyes from him then to me. Horrified at what I thought I saw in that single meeting of the eyes. You made your exit as I made mine. I could not believe what was happening. Whatever Savitar's intentions had been, this last act could not bode well. For either of us.

I fled the courtyard, taking the stairs quickly. The key was drawn from my belt and I gave myself access to your private quarters, locking the door behind me. Savitar would be left to his own devices. I'd sooner starve than come out to find him waiting.

[-Alley-]
Is in one of the many alleys that web their way through Sulport like a labyrinth.

says to ALL: -Valia fled into the compound, Savitar retook his knife and followed after her, her constant shadow now. I left the compound ground, moved out onto the street and then into the alleyways. I stopped only once I was in the depths of its web, my hand moving to press against my shoulder and then retracting to peer down at the blood. A Deep scowl set on my features and I disappeared into the approaching evening.-
