Ministry of The Crown
Hamunaptra, Hamunaptra

Ring. Ring. Ring.

The phone was practically ringing off the hook all day, due to her ministry releasing the Emperor’s Points for Golden Prosperity (EPGP). The Crown Minister, Angelina Nieves, just sits in her oversize office chair. Her office, done to her liking, is bright with the sunlight from outside. Her large office table, made with the logo of the Crown Ministry, sits in front of a wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling window.

Her computer, along with a multi-utility office phone, sits on the top of it, with many folders stacked the length of the table. On one wall, there is a portrait of the current Emperor, along with one of herself and of other various ministers and directors. One the other wall hangs two very large maps of Victorium and Noverra, as well as seven smaller ones to depict the regions of the world.

She continues to work on her various tasks, including preparing an off-the-cusp audit on all ministries and bureaus, as well as to further plan and optimize the implementation of the EPGP. ‘Initiative must be sought, she thinks to herself, as she keys away on her computer, cursing to herself as she remembered she had forgotten to include something in her press report. She sighs, as she turns around to look outside, taking a well needed break.

Too much to do, not enough time in the day,’ she thinks, as she takes in the centre courtyard of the ministry. The grass was green and the birds chip a song, at least she would like to think so; the windows are of military-grade and sounds don’t permeriate. She spins her chair around...and around...and around again, harshly stopping its turning by placing her hand on her desk.

As she recovers from the onset dizziness and minor nausea caused by the spinning, she lays her eyes at the wall hanging the maps of the world, to re-adjust her equilibrium. More and more south, her eyes move; Rusnya, the DeCapitos, Magourius, she makes a minor chuckle while looking at the nation, and then she jumps over the gulf to the nation of Izalith.

Guilt instantly fell upon her. She knew she had forgot about something and it had just hit her; she disremembered the letter she was to send to the Izalithian government, per the Emperor’s request. She quickly turns her chair to face her desk and computer again, navigating and beginning to compose a letter.

I hope it’s not too late, she thinks, typing away, again.

Letter to Charlotte II, Queen of Izalith

The response returned to the Ministry of the Crown was a long beautiful scroll emboldened and emblazoned with Izalithian crown insignia and Covenant sigils.
It was however, entirely ineligible.
It was written in ancient Izalithian, in the bottom right corner was the circle with a single line through it which could only mean that the recently ascended Fair Lady had decided to respond instead of the Queen.
The only issue with that was obviously that she can't speak or write anything in a language anyone besides a few dozen people in Izalith understand.

A smaller letter had been hidden away in the case the scroll had been lavishly adorned with however. Penned by the queen, it stated the time and location the Dawinian delegation was expected.

Surprisingly the location was Izalith Prime's major airport, deep within the now cancelled NFZ.

“Your Grace and company,” said the pilot over the intercom of the Crow Ministry’s jet, “we’ll be landing in a few minutes.”

Angelina immediately looks out the window of her seat, with excitement. As the Izalithian Government decided to lift a travel ban of foreigners into their capital, she feels honoured to be the first ‘outsider’ to travel there.

We’re here for diplomacy first, sightseeing later,’ she keeps reminding herself, but she couldn’t help it. She may have the figure of a woman, but at heart, she was a giddy as a little girl. She tried to see as much as she could, while the plane descended, not getting so much out of it. Eventually, she closed her window shade and sat back, closing her eyes.

Before she knew it, the cabin shakes from the contact made with the runway. As the brakes and flaps were deployed, she was pulled forward, as the plane began to slow.

“Ugh, I hate that, said Juana Salverez, the High Aide to the Minister,” next time, we should sail.”

The aircraft quickly scurries off onto a taxiway and turns, heading to its destination spot.

“Heh, and we’d still be on the sea, Juana. Besides, I get seasick on long voyages.”

The two laugh and are interrupted by one of the guards that travel with the Minister.

“Ladies, we’ve arrived.”

The two look towards the front cabin, realizing that the door was already open and everyone was waiting for them. They then look at eachother, laughing again at their obliviousness.

“Oh, thank you,” reponds Angelina, as she rises, grabbing her purse. She starts to walk towards the door and exits, with Juana following. At the base of the airstairs, was a delegation of Izalithian officials and to her surprise, Izalithian Queen was there to greet her.

“Your Majesty, what a pleasant surprise,” Angelina says, curtsying slightly.

The Queen Lordran II looked rather uncomfortable in a simple purple and black outfit, her indigo eyes followed the Dawinian plane through the window as it taxied along. Soon enough she was looking at her dainty little black shoes clacking across the tarmac.
Looking up at up at the two Dawinian women as their feet touched the ground, Charlotte began the greeting she'd rehearsed in her head.

Apparently being within her own capital made it difficult to mask her accent. The girl began.
"Welcome to Izalith, the beating heart and soul of greater Izalith, also known as the Unified Covenant Servant States."
Charlotte blinked a few times as her train of thought evidently pulled her out of her set greeting.
"It's states now due to the addition of the Sadrith and Miqote states roughly a month ago, it used to be just state." Charlotte blinked a few more times, she was a lot more placid than she was at the UN meeting.

"Oh yes, you have been summoned..." Charlotte waved a slender little hand through the air. Her entourage of a dozen royal guard parted instantly,
slamming their feet into the pavement and smacking their kevlar coated chests with their fists, creating a human corridor toward the terminal.
"Please, follow me immediately."

The queen's gait was rather slow. She had her fragile hands clasped behind her back and her legs were stretching out long and slowly falling down one after the other.
Was she bored? Was she day dreaming?
Her entourage of guards did not pay any heed, waiting patiently for the Queen and the two guests to reach the rough center of the formation, they then began escorting them through the terminal.
Flocks of children, citizens, armed police and various others were all waiting patiently within. They were very calm and collected, not needed to be held back by anyone due to an inability to restrain themselves.

The children had little mouth masks, the adults... anyone over 14 had a full helmet mask combination. Almost everyone was wearing some form of uniform.
The crowds murmured quietly, waving, raising fists to their hearts or clasping their hands together and bowing their heads towards Charlotte as she walked past.

The air of the situation was more so absent than confused.
Evidently something was powerful enough to compel everyone to be on their best behavior despite the fact something as exciting as foreigners in the capital was occurring before them.

Out the front several Marauder armored transports were lined up, painted in black and trimmed in red. Flags flew from several of their bonnets. Everyone was ushered in and the procession was soon underway.
The engines roared as the vehicles began their trek through the outer city. The fog was thick, the speed limit evidently low.

Charlotte's face was a little sullen as she raised it up and looked at the two women.
"So do you two like your jobs? What are your names?"
The marauder felt like it was driving down a bit of a slope now. The fog was still thick however.
Her eyes seemed genuinely curious. "What's your God like? Isn't it weird that you can't see them? Do you even have one? Personally atheism confuses me..."
The little queen seemed to be rattling on, she was evidently nervous.

The fog outside the windows seemed to lift all at once as the marauder flattened back out.

Monorails, tower structures and lots of billboards and flags. Izalith was very well a megalopolis.
The traffic before them parted as two tanks pulled in front of the convoy and began to lead them deeper into the city. All cars and civilians began getting out of the way.
Rather than bothered, the people were evidently excited. The further into the city they got, the more extensive and vibrant it became. The best descriptor being 'patriotic'.

Some of the billboards hanging from towers, skyscrapers and posts were actually screens. This one showed the High General yelling at some form of rally. The next showed a massive festival with fireworks and
huge amounts of people evidently thrown in several Izalithian cities at once. Another showed a dark skinned man in a very odd tribal outfit bowing to Charlotte, there was also a huge white bird standing
on the podium as well.
All very odd imagery. The billboards had sound but couldn't be heard from within their fortress come trucks they were currently within.

The convoy soon past the two tanks as they parted at a tunnel entrance, the line of vehicles sped up partially. Smoothly sailing down the tunnel, which seemed to go underground as well as through it.
They went down for a few more minutes, traveling down a few different forks in the labyrinth. Several open areas in the network even had fog and plant life in them. Evidently the natural wonder of the Izalithian catacombs
crossed with portions of the capital.

The parking structure they stopped in had very high security. Entirely white clad soldiers. Circles with a single line slashed down the middle. These were covenant soldiers.
These new men and women (unknowable due to the uniform) soon replaced Charlotte's personal guard. This didn't seem to bother them as they were ushered through the parking hanger and through several corridors
and elevators.

Charlotte was soon apologizing for the rush they were in. She cut it short when they exited a side entrance into the colossal innards of a light gold colored cathedral. Without a word or malice, the Izalithians dropped to their knees.
While doing this some guards instantly helped the Dawinians into the same position. Evidently Izalith preferred heavy handed help to warnings.

Before them sat a rather intrigued looking woman in a very curious outfit.

Was she missing an eye?

Everyone was allowed to stand once more as the woman swung a leg around off her thigh and planted both feet down, looking toward them.
Her voice was beautiful, almost as if she were singing and speaking. The words eloquently seemed to dance through the air.
Sadly their meaning was completely alien, the language wasn't known outside of nation.

Charlotte smiled and whispered politely as she stood next to the two Dawinians.
"They'll start translating what she is saying when the greetings are over. It's considered rude if her initial greeting is translated."
Charlotte smiled and shrugged in a gesture of 'what can you do, right?'
"Just introduce yourselves, one of her aids will tell her what you said."

”Thank you, Your Majesty,” respond Angelina, as she quickly analysed the young Queen. “And oh yes, congratulations on your nations recent acquisitions.”

Angelina nods as she starts to follow the Queen, although she was a bit confused. ‘Summoned? By who? I thought it was just her… But she swiped the thought from her mind and continued to follow, making sure Juana was with her.

Angelina, trying to act professionally, was struck with a deep sense of awe and wonder. The culture of the Izalithians both completely render the two speechless. Dawinia has always felt that the available ‘official’ information from other nations, on the topic of Izalith, was skewed for their own benefit.

Do they wear the masks for health reasons...my God, this metropolis is astounding,’ thought Angelina, looking wide-eyed at her surroundings. She was snapped back into reality, as questions began to bombard her.

“Well, the job carries its challenges, but all in all, I’d say that I’m truly happy with it. Oh, pardon me, I am Angelina Nieves, the Crown Minister of Dawinia, and this is,” pointing to Juana, “Juana Salverez, my High Aide. “

“Yes, I’m content with my position as well. I’m not overworked and have wonderful siesta.”

They group all continues to make small talk, answering all the questions presented to them. Eventually, ending up in some sort of golden-ish building, perhaps a religious building? But before Angelina could inquire, the entourage, upon entering the building, fell to their knees, while she was too helped down.

Both Angelina And Juanna look at each other, as they were kneeling together, with eyes saying ‘Okay…this is different. to each other. They all rose and looked forward, towards what seems to be the focal point of the room, falling onto a woman. Angelina was quickly coached on what to do.

“Your...Divine Illustriousness,” starts Angelina, much out of her comfort zone, unsure of how to conduct herself, “I--we are deeply honoured to meet your...self…?”

Most curious!

The Fair Lady smiled from atop... she'd been propped on top of an altar.
Her single visible eye sparkled as she clasped her hands together and her her speech continued, she wasn't speaking as loudly now though.

The two guards flanking the Dawinians and the queen broke the near silence, they were both evidently female, heir speech perfectly synchronized, their forms unmoving.
"How wondrous to finally experience the joy of meeting a stranger! Your presence within our nation is most refreshing and welcomed! Thank you for recognizing my children."
One of the guards sounded younger and higher pitched than the other, yet they were perfectly clear.

The Fair Lady smiled as she saw her little monarch interject during the pause.
Charlotte was being very quiet.
"We can get up now. Try not to think too hard about offending her."

The Fair Lady giggled in the distance, her eloquent voice soon backed up directly next to the foreign party.
"Don't be hard on your own decisions. To stand firm against slander and lies is to uphold the common good."
The Fair Lady began to move, there had been several small cloaked figures behind her.
Crouching Covenant guard, one or several must have been translating for her as Charlotte was speaking English.

I don't feel any malice or negativity from these two. No need to keep them within this side altar any longer than necessary!
The Fair Lady stood and began walking across the room away from the direction they had entered. Everyone was ushered to follow, the guards left a few meters distance now rather than boxing in.

Several more warm and golden looking altar rooms and corridors were past. Some filled with simple robbed figures and others with books, tombs, scrolls and soldiers. The Covenant wasn't wasting space.
Soon enough they passed into a huge cathedral entrance way from the side. The huge iron doors were closed and flanked by more guards. The group moved away from that door however, passing up a set of stairs and through a large threshold into a large room.

This room was huge and coated in dark and warped marble, the roof was painted (like the Sistine chapel) with vibrant and interweaving images of spiders, figures with their faces covered, large twisting trees and bright flowers and images of the sky at different times.
In the center to the rear of the room was a large throne up several sets of small platforms and steps. The throne was an odd blend of what appeared to be amalgamated metals, rare stones and blocks of various minerals. It was a massive contrast to the more conventional and beautiful room. It had it's own beauty, but looked very chaotic and free-form in comparison.
However they kept going through several lavish, golden, iron and rock cut rooms and always until they came to a balcony which would have been directly behind the throne room and to the left some.

The iron trimmed balcony hung out over a portion of the Izalithian catacombs. A huge cave stretched out with no sky in sight, dimly lit by several pools of molten rock resting beneath them. Flocks of bats could be seen dancing around the distance. Dimly luminescent mushrooms and odd tree like growths also inhabited the view.

The Fair Lady pranced up and looked over the railing, a small water fall trickling down through the air and into a thin crevice had apparently caught her eye.

Oh!

She turned around and waved a unmarked hand. Everyone was seated at a rather ornate table with several pictures of various odd and colorful designs spun from glass were on the table already. Some of the guards had drifted off to see to other refreshments.

It's roughly noon isn't it...
The Fair Lady was quick to run her hands down the back of her thighs so she could sit down unhindered by the purple cloth hanging around her legs. Once seated she rested her chin on her now crossed hands as her elbows rested on the table. Once more her song like voice quietly came into the partially humid and odd air slowly drifting outside.
The two translating priestess come guards were behind the Fair Lady now, making it less awkward to be looking and listening in two different directions. The two were soon echoing each other through their masks as another set of priests placed some books and a quill pen in front of the Fair Lady, she started scribbling away while talking.

"Now if I understand... ah yes that one." the two guards slowed down partially, although evidently it was because the Fair Lady was stuck in a train of thought and muttering extremely intricate and confusing words. Their slight turning to each other showed they weren't able to keep up.
Charlotte gave the two guards and awkward smile. Indeed the Fair Lady must have been speaking simpler so the translators could keep up.
The Fair Lady looked back up, breaking from her little trance as she put the quill back and slid a now unrolled map of Noverra to the side as well as a rather thick fresh tomb she'd been scribbling in.

"I'm dreadfully sorry for inconveniencing you. It gets a little hard to keep track of everything. Now as I've come to understand it your intriguing nation is quite important when it comes to the Victorum theater and to Noverra as a whole! Truly my children are blessed to begin dialogue with a people such as yourselves!"
The Fair Lady gave a warm smile but her eye dropped slightly. Her expression slowly dropped as she spoke.

"This nation has had great success with our friends to the east, however... well I'm told other nations currently struggling for dominance of our world look down on us."
The Fair Lady's expression lit up as she waved her hands gently.
"Don't worry, I'm simply ecstatic to hear about your nation, ideals and thoughts. I..."

The Fair Lady gave a weak smile and looked to Charlotte, who looked rather depressed and was staring at the table top dejectedly.
The Fair Lady's demeanor slightly changed, as if a slight light had been ignited within her.
"I know the world is a cruel domain for humanity and all life.
My children do not lie.
My children do not want.
My children do not scheme."
Her face had a mildly cold expression, mixed with a hint of sorrow.
"Avarice, self interest, hatred, fear... the world is dominated by byproducts from humans. This is unnatural."
Sitting up a little straighter she slid another tomb in front of her.
A long list of characters, all unique.
She took her quill and drew rather sharp and harsh looking runes next to them in the written form of the language she was speaking.
One of the characters on the page, the one at the top, had a smooth and almost organic sign next to it that seemed to dance across the page for a short while as if it was meant to be continued or linked to more.
Taking her slender hand down she added a very short and small scrawling next to one of the unique characters in on the list.
By the looks of it, the small character was actually a part of both 'letters' she had added to the page.

"This is the diary of a child, the child being our nation. Every human is but a part of the greater entity.
An index of relations, a catalog of first impressions. By the end of our discussion your nation will be added to it. As the first strangers I've ever met I truly hope my additions are positive, for both of our nations and their people."

She slid the tomb away from her slightly.

"Please, if you don't mind. Tell me about your nation and it's soul. Tell me about what the lands of Dawinia heave and long for."

"Your words deeply honour us," responded Angelina.

Angelina and Juana both listen to the various people speaking: English and something that they've never heard before, but it interested Angelina very much. She continued, looking in the direction of the Fair Lady.

"Most certainly. We...Dawinia, simply, is known by some as 'La Tierra de la Devoción,' The Land of Devotion, for we are a devoted people to our country, faith, monarch, and to one another. As time progresses, the people remain faithful and pious to our faith, as it has been from the inception of Dawinia. We're keen and committed for making the lives of our people pleasant and comfortable, equal and fair. Just as you have said about your great nation, I know that the Emperor does hope for those same things for the people: to not lie, want or scheme. He, as well as many before him, strive each day to make the nation better, wherever need be.

We are a land of culture and history; of innovation and discovery. Traditions are held close to our hearts, as they are, hm, physical representations of our place in a never-ending story that will perpetuate from generation to generation, as it defines who we are as Dawinians. We desire a world where we may live without fear from others who question our ways and/or ideals. We cannot all conform and align ourselves to a 'right' way; we are a identity that will never cease to be. That said, we will vehemently defend our homeland, our people, and our way of life."

Angelina realised her tone had changed a bit and stopped to re-evaluate and re-establish her train of thought.

"We are compassionate as well. Those in need are truly helped, giving a hand of support and understanding. The people are absolutely important, and is the responsibility and duty, not burden, of the Crown and its government to do so. Unlike some other developed nation who claim to help those in need and shame those same people they are to help, we stand steadfast in our commitment.

And the hypocrisy that is perpetuated in the world is too vast. Many governments, some of which are known to be very condescending and hateful to others, say one thing yet do another; give with one hand and stab with the other. Our word, a Dawinian promise, is a solemn promise that will hold true to the day of fulfillment, never bending nor breaking our word, for what is a person without their solomun word?"

Angelina smiles, upon concluding, to the Fair Lady, satisfied with what she'd said, but started to worry a little, thinking, ' did I say too much? Too little?. Was it in the right style or is that what she had wanted to hear?'

The Fair Lady politely watched and smiled as Angelina spoke. Carefully listening to the cenobites behind her instead of the woman in front of her.

The Fair Lady didn't respond, she was scribbling quickly and neatly into a new tomb instead. Quickly she slid it across over the previous one and tapped a pale fingertip on the table top.
One of the white robed guards stepped forward and dropped a folder in front of the two Dawinian's.
Labeled 'Trade Web Scheme Suggestions' in English, the folder detailed a trade network set up between the 7 proposed LoC nations. Focusing on the trade of small trade goods and other smaller items not commonly traded efficiently in Noverra.
Things such as food stuffs, spices, meats, rare and exotic materials, flora, fauna, furniture and other basic trade was listed.
The Izalithian portion seemed to export more than it imported, evidently not wanting particular things they didn't like. There was a clear indication they wanted nothing to do with media for one.

While just a prototype write up, the Fair Lady was curious to see what the Dawinians would make of a proposal to link these seven nations together closer and to strengthen their bonds and dependencies on each other.

She was extremely curious to see if they thought it was a trap, a bad idea or an opportunity. Words were meaningless and harmful, while the Dawinian had made a claim their people rarely lie, Izalithans are bred, trained and conditioned not to. She would have the information she wanted, one way or another. She wasn't going to depend on impulse born trust and good will.

"Your nation sounds quite golden and warm. I'm very pleased that you shared this with me, please look through this. I'm curious what your nation would make of it."

Angelina was pleased that The Fair Lady was happy with what she heard, at least from what she gather from body language. If she wasn't thrown out, she must be doing a good job. After the folder was placed in front of her, she and Juana both began to read it.

"Thank you for your kinds words," she responded, continuing to flip through the pages of the folder.

"Hm...it's amazing that you bring this up. Currently, the Emperor himself has made this sort of effort apparent to his Ministers. This aligns perfectly with our nation's new standards, our Points for Golden Prosperity. With that said, I, and I know the Emperor would as well, would be most interested to pursue such propositions."

An intriguing coincidence to go in favor of our warming relations!
The Fair Lady seemed to radiate slightly with happiness and joy as she smiled at their now being repeated words.
The Fair Lady toned down her charisma a little as it tended to go a little overboard at times.
She did however reply as she wrote notes in one of her two tombs.

"How wonderful to know that a faithful, steadfast and honest nation such as yours is having similar plans at a similar time."
The Fair Lady stopped writing for a moment and looked both of them in the eyes, one after the other.
"This is a very good sign. I feel continued interaction between our nations would not just do my children and your people a incredibly positive good. I believe it would also have a positive effect on the world to show that avarice, worship of the self and fear mongering is not the sole owner of our precious world. The righteous are strong, loving and many."
The Fair Lady gave a charming smile and motioned once more. A different guard from across the table moved a sole piece of paper across the table to the two women. On it was a list of five nations, with a six added under the calligraphic edging under the original note.

Austiana, Achaian Peloponnese, Auvernia, Itius and Konigmark.
'Remnants of Valkany's previous government' was the one slightly out of place tagged on the end.

"As you may or not know the League of Castratene meeting is currently in progress. All of these nations attending, now including the non-nation party who has been made an addition are there besides our two nations. I would like your nation and your personal opinion on all of these party's, if you wouldn't mind."
The Fair Lady smiled and the faintest blush colored her cheeks.
"Izalithian's don't put much weight in flat words held in documents and databases concerning such things. I would greatly appreciate hearing your disposition and observations concerning them to have a clearer picture of how they function, behave and present themselves... as seen by you."

The Fair Lady smiled and watched them curiously.

Angelina and Juana both smile and nod in agreement to The Fair Lady's words, as they continue to listen.

"Absolutely; as I too do believe so," responded Angelina, "and I'd be delighted."

Juana hands Angelina the paper with the list of nations. 'Opinions on these nations...from me? Oh, I do hope I capture the Emperor's true thoughts in my responses,' she thinks, beginning to feel a bit of anxiety, but not an amount which would make it obvious.

"Hm...the Austianese...there people are one of strong will. As both the Crown's direct neighbour to the east and one of its most valued allies, we generally like them. In some areas of their social fabric, they are a little more conservative in their ways, however we--er, the Crown, have witnessed the vast changes that were brought in their land. They are honourable and have honoured all their called to arms, as we have for them. Even so, we have special policies regarding immigration and trade, enabling a more lax border for trade and immigration.

The Achaians now, we haven't had so much relations with their nation, however from what we hear and analyze, they seem to be prudent in their ways. We know, as your eastern neighbour, they maintain good relations with your nation. But again, from what we can tell, they are an interesting people and would not think twice about opening diplomatic channels with them.

Auvernia has very close and historical ties with the Crown that have existed for quite some time now. In fact, the monarchs are actually cousins in the same Imperial House, so they are always (mostly) on very good terms. From what I could tell, the people are very traditional and strict in their ways, however do bear similar qualities to Dawinia."

"Mhm, they are alike, perhaps that is also why they get along so well," interjected Juanna.

"Yes; they're government and rule is stable and are true to their nation. They are also excellent soldiers when the time calls for it; tried and true. All in all, I'd say they are the jewel of the north sea.

Itius, another neighbouring nation to the direct northwest of mainland Dawinia, has been on friendly, or at least cordial, relations, with us. Thinking of the last time I've visited their nation, the people were truly in tune with their environment as well as their traditional values. It was interesting to see old and new world blend together in such a way. They are kind people and are quite peaceful, considering the world's affairs. I'm glad that they have come to the LoC summit, on account of many nay-sayers that said otherwise.

Now, Konigmark," Angelina sighs, "this nation is just...fact is, off-the-record, I don't know and hope that the Emperor doesn't wish to know them anymore than we do now. I mean, they don't seem to be anything what we would be interested in. And I'll leave it at that."

She didn't want to continue her tirade here, during a diplomatic meeting at that, but realized she had forgot a nation.

"Oh, I had almost forgot; Valkany. They are...ever changing. There old government was at odds with the Crown at times, but overall, they are manageable. I hear that some diplomacy may be brokered between the exiled government and the Crown, and I do think it's for the good. One thing about them is that they can be very arrogant towards dealing with other nations. It's annoying at times, however, ignoring the obvious, some things can get done."

The Fair Lady looked a mix of intrigued and puzzled as she listened via proxy. Her facial expressions never ceased to be overly expressive and honest.
She was filling in several pages in her ancient written tongue as she followed the conversation.
When Angelina was done, she was soon followed by the scratching of a quill stopping as well.

Quite good.

"Do either of you in return have anything to ask?"
The Fair Lady smiled and crossed her fingers through one another in front of her as she asked. Her head slightly tilted in curiosity.

"Well, if I may ever be so bold," started Juana; Angelina staring at her as if saying 'don't finish that sentence.' "What, or more like who, are you? Your not really mentioned anywhere yet your importance is quite apparent, which makes me curious. "

Angelina cracks a smile, trying to make light of the uncouth and most direct question. She was anxious, honestly, for this could be the tipping point of their whole visit. If it goes south, well, the Emperor would be most displeased.

How disappointing...
The Fair Lady's exposed eyebrow raised as she gave a mildly taut smile. She evidently wasn't very impressed.

As her mouth began to open she noticed Charlotte waving her little hand inconspicuously from across the table.
The Fair Lady's expression warmed and she merely sat back as Charlotte spoke up from next to the foreigners.
"The Fair Lady is and isn't the Fair Lady."
As Charlotte said this the guard standing behind her noticeably twitched, however she continued.

"The Fair Lady is a descendent of the first Fair Lady who exemplifies and personifies her to the point where it's evident they are in fact her."
Charlotte merely blinked a few times then sat still for a moment, looking at the edges of her fringe and frowning.
"Jesus and God are a mixture of three beings, correct? The Fair lady and The Fair Lady are the same entity, even though the first has moved beyond this world. She is also the 'pope' of the Covenant. She is the religious head, object of worship and head of state of Izalith. Even though my title is Queen I am a servant of The Fair lady that ties the religious, military and civilian sectors together in unison. A representative of her holiness who can tread and speak for her where needed."

Charlotte stopped speaking and turned and looked at the guard, who was utterly unmoving. This made The Fair Lady smile, however she seemed very excited to the point where she couldn't sit still.

I've got it!

The Fair Lady's face was beaming happily as she closed her eyes, waved the two guards down and said
"I. Am. Izalith. Goddess."
In rather adorable broken English. Her eye opened with a spark and she looked around ecstatically to see if she'd gotten it right.

Charlotte's face lit up as she tried to stifle her giggling behind a dark silk sleeve.
"Oh the cenobites are going to adore this, they insisted she didn't need to study any languages and she's trying to learn anyway."

Ha!

The Fair Lady turned around to face the corner, shining a perfectly innocent smile at a large uniformed figure that could have been mistaken for Telvan if his armor wasn't so light and white with the insignia switched for the Covenant's sigils.
The 6ft+ giant nodded his head swiftly and gave a rough fist pump gesture. It was Izalithian military sign language for 'target down'.
The Fair Lady forgot her place and clapped excitedly, chattering away to the man for a moment. In response he just tilted his head back toward the table.

Oh!

The Fair Lady span back around, sliding a thinner book in front of her and scrawling down a paragraph neatly in mere seconds of her nearly lost tongue.
She had logged several pages effortlessly during the diplomatic proceedings all the while acting like a child. It didn't appear to bother or even come to the attention of anyone there however, even Charlotte wasn't paying attention to the young woman in her 20s behaving younger than she should be behaving.

One of the guards who had been translating nodded at The Fair Lady, who curiously told her what must have been along the lines of 'go on', 'yes you may' or some such.

The guard spoke from behind the two Dawinians.
"Whether your peoples or religions recognize The Fair Lady as divine or not it is impossible to escape the fact that despite her grave responsibilities and burdens she bares she is completely free of ill will, greed and malice. The Fair Lady's soul itself is one of the Covenant's miracles. Even if that is ignored, she is still one of the few pure of heart human beings in existence. That is why we follow and believe. That is why we stay the course."

Charlotte rested her petite chin on her palms and looked at the two Dawinians.
"You must imagine how sorry we feel for the rest of the world considering the being that watches over us never lies or contradicts itself. It must be stressful for some other places on the planet. Luckily enough she appears to have good feelings towards the pope and your Emperor."

Ah yes, must not forget!

The Fair Lady passed a folder to a guard who soon handed it to Angelina.
It contained a basic map of Izalith with several points. One point was in the ocean off to the north. It was showing where all the Gilead interlopers were found, captured or routed out. The rest of the pages showed detailed reports on Izalith's crime levels which were near nothing. A page detailed the large big brother measures the country had in place and also listed the rather strong parenting license laws and restrictions on people with STDs, violent tendencies and other undesirable traits.
The nation was extremely authoritarian, to the point that it was shudder worthy. Then came the taxation.
Izalith owned all of it's industry and commercial ventures, everything was state controlled, the people were taxed almost everything. All freedoms were strictly measured out and enforced by a police... or rather, military police. Izalith never separated the police and army.
They had guards instead of police officers.

However then came the next few pages.
Millions of native Southern Gilead refugees who had came to Izalith and who had fought for Izalith in the now Izalithian region of Sadrith were listed, they were all being branded and indoctrinated into the regimented state system.
However then came the lists and charts concerning the vaccination, feeding, housing, education, childcare, healthcare, jobs, cultural integration.
Another page detailed how the majority of pagan worshipers found within their new citizens worshiped a certain deity so it was taken into the Covenant recently, thus creating a pantheon.

Izalith had universal healthcare. Everyone was constantly watched and nudged hard back in line when they faltered. But as these eyes were always on their backs, they knew someone always had their backs.

Izalith's economy was broadly detailed in the further details. It was struggling under the immense weight of the new refugee increase. Military spending had been cut back severely to match the demand, even several of the new warships were halted in production. The church had also emptied large amounts of reserve gold it kept to aid in the effort.
The result was Izalith's now struggling economy, some areas were even going on rations so food could be transported down south. The old warlord led regime had destroyed much of the infrastructure and agriculture, The Fair lady had deemed it the only viable alternative.

The final page was a status report on the three Gilead spies who were still incarcerated. A note from the Inquisitor Prime requesting permission to execute them as all valuable and useful information had already been extracted was met with a 'denied' stamp from The Fair Lady's own desk.

The Fair Lady sat back and waited, her eye scanning the room. She caught Charlotte's gaze and gave her a little wave, Charlotte gave her a wink.
The Fair Lady quietly clapped her hands.

Ah, good good.

Charlotte stood and excused herself, making her way quietly out of the room as she looked at a phone she slid out of the side of her top. The Queen was apparently ever busy.

“Ah, I see,” responded Juana, now more confident when using titles, “I see why; something so...tangible and immediate to reinforce the personification of the Izalithian soul is just grand. Truly, I am jaded from what Dawinian tradition has held for so long; I now--”

Angelina sends a glare to Juanna.

“I now...wish to thank you for your enlightening explanation, Your Divinity, and I do so apologize for my directness.”

Angelina quickly utters to Juana, “Considerarse afortunado (Consider yourself lucky), both fast and hushed so that she may be the only one to hear and understand.

Truth be told, she was a tad shocked from her High Aide; did she just renounce the faith that Dawinia’s hold to for ages? Is she just being nice? The questions keep going on and on, however, she pushes that to the side, now looking at the folder and the many papers that came in it.

“You lead a very fascinating nation,” started Angelina, as she continued to read the numerous reports, “the media does you no justice to the actuality of this land.”

She turns a few pages, stopping at the ones outlining the influx of refugees and costs attributed with their integration.

“Your cause and treatment of these refugees is praiseworthy. Not many nations left in Noverra follow the same doctrine; it seems that nationalism, be it small or large, has removed the empathy from the leaders of the world.”

Angelina repositions herself, bringing the folder closer to hear to read.

“And from what these tell me, you have also seen the burden it places on your nation. In this world, doing the right thing often cost more than acting in malice. That said, Dawinia would be happy to provide aid to your nation, if you so accept. I, we understand the state of affairs you find yourself in; since we do have the means to help, we’d like to utilize it in a manner most helpful, not like other nations where armament is of top priority, even above the general welfare and wellbeing of their own people.”

She opens a folder that sat under the one given to her. Starting to read it over, she begins again.

“We could start with health. I could arrange a scheme with Perisal (Dawinia’s leading pharma/medical-company), pertaining with vaccinations, medicines and other health-related supplies.”

Angelina looks up at The Fair Lady again, awaiting her responses.
