Antonío makes his way into the meeting room again, just as before the day before. His head was pounding, not so intense, but enough to warrant him to take anti-headache pills anyway. Perhaps he shouldn't had stayed out so late the night before. He sits down in his assigned seat, now just looking around the room; empty. Seems he was either very early or everyone else is very late. His suit crimples as he leans forward and places his head on the table, atop his folded arms, just to 'rest his eyes', until some time would pass. It was a finely-made and tailored suit; high-collared and black in colour, with a white shirt, lightly trimmed with golden thread, intertwined with red threading. Although he did not choose to wear his crown to this summit, he opted to wear the collared-insignia and pinned livery badge of the two highest - and most important - orders of Dawinia, the Orden del Toisón de Oro (Order of The Golden Fleece) and Orden del Sagrado Corazón de Dawínia (Order of The Sacred Heart of Dawinia). A few minutes later, he hears murmurs coming from the corridor, promoting him to sit up and fix himself, back to a more presentable manner. The voices come closer and closer, and eventually in comes Fernando and Bernhard, engaged in a great discussion. Upon seeing Antonío already seated, they cease their discussion. "I'll be sure to tell him after the closing today," said Fernando, as he takes his seat; Bernhard just nods. "Good Morning, gentlemen; I hope your nights were grand," said Antonío, turning back and forth to the two, suspiciously. "I'll tell you later," started Fernando, "It's--" More of the League's members entered the room, interrupting his responses. He'd have to wait to see what the commotion was about. |

"Well that was quick", mused Louis. He gathered his things, hoping to catch Antonio and Fernando as to remind about the ball that Charles was going to hold -- all family members of the House of Lucatta were invited to have a grand ball in the Château d'Victoire. " Antoine, Fernand!", exclaimed Louis. "Charles has news from Melun -- something very good. Charles shall hold a ball in Melun tomorrow -- he wants you boys come down to Melun. He also asks that you bring Marie, Fernand, and the Children. All of them." Louis looked over his shoulder and saw the other delegates. "I want to bring those two, Lefkada and Cathair to the ball. They seem like fine people." |

As Antonío and Fernando were talking amongst themselves, finishing up putting their things away, as they may contact with Louis, who comes up to them. They stop and listen, with Antonío finally responding. "Is that so? Well, who am I to say no to a ball with our cousins. We'll be there. Fernan, you're in charge of calling everyone. Make sure they're aware that we have plans tomorrow, alright?" If Fernando had plans post-LoC, they've been changed and he has nothing to say to the contrary. He just sighed, grabbing his phone, beginning to dial back to Dawinia. "And yes, I must agree with you. They do seem like fine people, indeed. The more the merrier, I say!" |

Louis turned away from Antonio, and met with Lefkada as she left the conference room. Louis came up to her and said, "Seems like last night's dinner left you in a good mood." He smirked, but he regained composure. "If you remember last night's offer, I proposed to you a tour of my country. It seems that my Cousin the King is holding a ball upon my return. The Emperor of Dawinia will be there, and all of his family will be there as well. I think if you seek to get comfortable with us, you must come and celebrate with us...what do you think?" |

Ambassador Lefkada had reluctantly joined in with the applause prompted by Emperor Antonio’s concluding speech, but she had shared a significant glance with Colonel Oileus that hopefully conveyed her irritation that one of the large anchors of this League project had apparently decided to close the day’s discussion for his own reasons, despite the fact that, as far as she could tell, there were still important matters to discuss--such as, for instance, an actual and productive political stance for the future, and defense plans (not simply vague assurances) should the tensions between Victorium and its rivals lead to a real conflict. Antonio, though, had made his decision clear, and the rest of the room seemed either unwilling to argue or already disenchanted with the project, and Lefkada had to wonder if the League would be allowed to survive longer than a few weeks before the lack of a real strategy sank the entire idea. Being approached by Duke Louis, therefore, was a surprise… though the ambassador felt that his attitude was more than a little condescending, moreso than it had been the evening before. Nonetheless, Lefkada realized that this was a diplomatic opportunity, in which she could attempt to point out and seal the gaps in the League before they ruined the project entirely. And despite his tone, Louis was not wrong in saying that Achaian Peloponnese desired closer relations with Victorium’s traditional monarchies. If a ‘celebration’ was the means by which she could achieve those closer relations… “Your Highness, my delegation and I would be pleased to join you and your royal cousins in Melun. I happen to believe that discussion regarding this League is not quite done, and I would be grateful for any further opportunity to open discussions with your government and that of Dawinia in order to strengthen our alliance.” |

Miorill's brow furrowed as she packed her things into her briefcase. The meeting was being called off quite early for seemingly no reason at all. After touching on trade for but a moment the meeting quickly turned to politicians nattering on about hypothetical large scale military movements and then the meeting just up and ended. Miorill was disappointed, she had to get up quickly and follow the High General who had just walked out moments into the "Thanks for coming" speech. Izalith would most likely need to chase down individual governments and companies fairly hard to acquire the desired results due to the lack of specific details gained at the meeting. Miorill watched the various people present instantly become obsessed with some form of extravagant ball type event and couldn't help feeling rather disgusted. She knew the differences between Izalithian and Noverran monarchs but that didn't help her feel like they were any different than the outdated and selfish gang leader monarchs of medieval times. She kept her thoughts to herself as she clasped her briefcase, bowed quickly the nearest person and walked out into the lobby to meet her two colleagues. |

Andrew pciked up his things and bowed before saying goodbye and leaving. He made sure to take his medication when he walked out. He was happy with how everything had worked out. The one thing he was scared of though was the responsibility of being Emperor, should his plans succeed. Edited by Sviardia-Nordrvegria, Oct 26 2014, 04:24 PM.

After leaving Lefkada's good graces, Louis decided to approach Cathair. As a scion of one the larger clans of Itius, he decided to try his hand at inviting him to the ball. Despite the proximity of the Itiusian Isles, the two nations had not talked much, although there were reasonable dialogue between the Royal Family and the Rozenn Clann, a clan ruled sections of Southern Itius -- they had also produced a wife for the young Prince Charles -- 15 years ago when Charles was married off to Katell Rozenn. Now Louis approached the man, as he left the meeting, and asked him "Excuse me, Sir -- I have been sent on the orders of my king to invite you to some celebrations being held in Melun tomorrow -- he would if you came." |

Cathair knew that he should probably return to Itius as soon as possible. He knew plans were in place and that there would soon be a shift of power in the courts. He had no desire to be there when conflict breaks out. Small conflicts have happened before and are not uncommon between prominent landholders over some petty boundary or some dishonourable action. Each incident is seen as an opportunity for someone, and each problem tends to spread quickly causing more disputes until it is quelled by a king. Also knowing that this was likely to happen on a larger scale now made Cathair not want to return to Itius for as long as possible. With an inward sigh Cathair decided it was better to be in the company of foreigners than with meddling courtiers and scheming rí and answered in his best diplomatic tone, trying to stifle his accent in the foreign tongue. “Tell your king that it would be my pleasure to attend.” |

Louis thanked Cathair, and returned to Antonio, and told him "Cousin, I've got who I've wanted to join us, Lefkada and Cathair. Say, what plane are we going on?" |

Talk amongst themselves again, Antonío and Fernando are interrupted by Louis again. "Well, why not my plane, giving the number of people...you all can see our newest addition to the fleet," said Antonío, "not our signature double-decker as usual. Would that be suitable? They're actually preparing for my departure as we speak?" |

Lefkada moved close enough to the discussion between the royals to listen to their plans. The ambassador had no objections to the idea of flying in an exorbitantly-furnished jet, so she said nothing to interrupt as Emperor Antonio put forward his idea. Turning to Colonel Oileus, she said quietly, “Call Major Korinna at the hotel and tell her to get everyone packed and ready to leave. I’m sure Romar will have them at the airport in good time. Tell Korinna that we will be boarding a Dawinian royal jet for a journey to Melun in Auvernia.” Oileus nodded and pulled out a phone from his jacket pocket, while the ambassador turned back to her soon-to-be hosts and said, specifically to Antonio, “I look forward to seeing your new plane in action, Your Majesty.” |
