Palace of Mailliot, Acratania Francis of Aubernia – Duke for Foreign Affairs – looked at his reflection in one of the mirrors on the shelf as he waited for the King. He remembered the first time he had come to visit His Majesty, just after the King's Election, how he remembered those feelings of elation and anxiety. But now, ten years on, here he was, sitting in that very same chair. Over those ten years, he had taken to consulting with the King prior to each meeting he had with foreign delegations. A footman escorted him to the King's private library, deep somewhere in the Palace's private apartments. Though he had visited him countless times here, he always marvelled at the ability of the porters to remember the labyrinthine corridors. When he entered the usual ritual was performed. A deep curtsey from him and they would take to their seats, always choosing the sofas overlooking the King's own rose garden. "So, Lorde Francis, it's about Achain Peloponnese I believe... is it?" the King said to him as he looked at the documents scattered on his lap, "Why yes it is," he said to himself jovially, tapping his fountain pen on the side before signing a document. "Yes, Your Majesty, we have sent an invitation the Government of Achain Peloponnese to discuss measures for the enhancement of our bilateral ties. I'm sure that Duke of Vautrinia will attend the Achaian delegation in Ésuspure!" - - - - - - - - - - ![]() Ministré des Affaires Éstrangères | Le Royôme d'Acratànie Writen by the Order of Guillôme II, Kingh of Acratania, King of Suran (Acratanien), Duke of Doreysne and Tróvie, Baron Cantaire-Ceresora, Lord the Rastovid Province and Duke Transvechia. Ambassador Delos’s smile grew at Duke Jean’s pronouncement. “I can’t say that I speak for the entire League,” he said regretfully, “but I for one would welcome Acratanien involvement. I don’t think anyone else in the League would have reason to dispute that, though. And I am confident that Acratania would be a good friend to our alliance and to each member individually.” Delos thought for a moment. “If Your Highness approves, I will ask my government to send recommendations to other members of the League, requesting that Acratania be invited to the next meeting. I would suggest that Acratania send its own messages to member nations; at the very least, it will likely make many of them much less nervous to know that the heart of Victorium does not stand divided against itself.” The ambassador nodded to himself. “I especially suggest that Your Highness send a message to Dawinia; it has the most reason to worry, and will feel the most relief that Acratania’s interests align with its own.” |

Ésuspure, Duchy of Vautrinia, Kingdom of Acratania "Oh, I approve, Wonderful Sir, Acratania is so interested in the League of Castratene!" smiled the Duke "Our interest in the League are baseated in the cooperation between it members.." He drinked his water and continued. "Oh, Yes, Dawinia, my King is in meeting with the Crown Prince, I could send an text to him, and he could talk with him about the League" said the Duke Edited by Wendmark, Oct 25 2014, 10:35 PM.

“All of that is a relief to hear, Your Highness,” Ambassador Delos said. “Stronger relations between neighbors will also strengthen the resolve of their like-minded allies. And I think the League would be pleased to have an ally in Acratania regardless. Speaking as a single member state, I can tell you that Achaian Peloponnese is happy that Acratania considers the League to be a useful organization and an avenue for international friendships. As for Dawinia, it is certainly useful for all of us that His Majesty is already meeting with a Dawinian representative, and I look forward to learning how that meeting goes when it is revealed to the public.” |

Ambassador Delos smiled. “Assuming that there is nothing more to discuss…” the ambassador said, trailing off with a questioning look toward his aide. Kyriaki glanced through her paperwork. “There’s nothing pressing that you haven’t already gone over, sir,” she answered the unspoken question. Delos turned back to Duke Jean and nodded. “I would be honored to join Your Highness during a visit to the Baronial Council,” he said. |
