People look down the long road, waiting for the parade. Today, it is 75 years since the United Federal Republic of Rusol finally won in its civil war, defeating the Black Cross. Civilians stand opposite to the huge government building, the Warblin. The Government stands on the railings of the amazing looking building, waiting too in excitement. The last soldiers from the era who had fought on the front lines stand there with worn, yellow uniforms with dozens of medals pinned to their chests. Buildings left and right of the street were filled with people, but guards patrolled the tops of buildings, watching with much intent. Camera crews set up on the street, to the side of course, but had all the lens facing down the street. Everyone was cheering in excitement, waiting to see the parade. This year was a new one, the election of a new leader, who promised to rebuild their nation to former glory. Some, didn't want to agree. But to most, they had to.

The crowd grew silent, as the sound of a drum began. It was a snare drum, doing a light marching tune. Dum, dum, dum duuum, dum, dum. Over and over. Cameras zoomed in, and a single man was walking forward, snare drum held at his waist, continuing to go to the beat. Then, the sound of men marching began. Soldiers swung there feet up to 30 degree angles, then slammed their feet down, sounding and looking interesting. Old, worn rifles from the civil war were held in there hands, but painted black. Some people were confused, mainly since this was a huge change from last years modern rifles. They continued to watch in awe, as this whole division stopped in front of the Warblin, and President Teddy Klavic stood up, looking over everyone. He cleared his throat, beginning to speak.

"Today, is the beginning of a new era." He spoke in a hard tone, but enough softness to make people interested in what he wanted to say. "It has been exactly 75 years since we overthrew the Tyrants that once controlled this wonderful nation. Around 30 million men, women, and children died in the fighting, but they died to create this new country. Their lives were not in vain! So, begins the mark of a new era. Before, Presidents of the U.F.R.R. wanted more guns, and had little respect for the people. This must end. So, marking today, we are cutting heavily back on military spending, and pushing in health care, and more jobs for the working class. You all deserve jobs worth working at, and you deserve enough money to buy and keep a home. 30 million people died for a new nation that would respect, and support its people. Its time that their deaths and what they fought for was put to good use. Today, as we watch this parade, I hope you go home tonight, believing in your nation, your soldiers, your government, yourself. Thank you for being here today, to celebrate with me, and those who served in the war."

He sat down, waving his hand. The Division turned, marching onward. The line began once more, soldiers in huge columns marching. One thing did change though. Before, the soldiers had to salute towards the Warblin when they passed. This time they only looked forward, still showing respect to the government, but distributing the respect to both sides of the road. Once the soldiers passed, tanks began to come. They stood in three rows, with huge guns. The tanks had multi-urban camo, sorta blending in with the street as they drove. After the tanks passed, came the APC's, looking as if they had just recently coming froma warzone. Their paint was chipped, and a few dents all over the vehicles. They continued on, though. The parade lasted for another 3 hours, with it following a similar pattern, Soldiers, Tanks, APC's, reset. The sun was setting when it ended.
