As the sun began to fall on the castle in Alexandra, Starliza's largest and capital city, the royal family sat in a large meeting room preparing to say their final goodbyes to their beloved king, Alexander I.

For months King Alexander I had kept a fatal secret from not only his people and the world, but his family.

When first diagnosed with Leukemia, the king shut himself off from the world and his country. Alexander kept himself hidden in his study or in his bedroom quietly working on a large will that would determine the future of his country and the it would also determine whom the new leader of the United Kingdom of Starliza would be.

Now, as the king took his final breaths, his family wept for their loss, but they weren't alone nor were they the only ones feeling to gloom from Death's shadow.

Quickly, word of his death spread across the country as it became the main headline of every news agency in the country. Countrymen and women felt their hearts break as their beloved king had finally been confirmed as dead.

Hours would pass by before the late king's brother, Prince Willard IV gave a formal speech to the country.

"This is Sarah Gilmart with Starliza Today, we are waiting here at Hillington Castle, home of the official home of the late King Alexander I. We wait patiently as his younger brother prepares to deliver the King's final speech which sources tell us, were written months prior to his death." The camera lens quickly shifted from the small, redheaded woman and onto a tall, broad shouldered man.

"Good evening," The prince's voice rang out as total silence washed over the crowed, "As you many now know, the heartbreaking news of the untimely death of my brother, your king comes to us suddenly and at a shock." Willard's hand rose up and stopped a tear from rolling down his cheek, "He was a strong man whom wanted nothing more than for this country to thrive and stand strong. I'm sure we can all agree that his vision and dream are all true today." His voice quivered as a few tears rolled down his tanned face, "To keep this short however, I will read the last speech that our king intended for our ears to hear and our eyes to read."

"My fellow Starlizans, I regret to inform you that if you are hearing this that I have passed. For many months I have kept a fatal secret from you all, but I had my reasons. When a country sees its leader strong, then its people stand strong. When a country sees its leader prosper, its people prosper, but when I country sees its country suffer, its people begin to suffer also. The people and country itself reflect what their leader shows them.

For months I have suffered from a deadly cancer, and though a cure is not found, I have decided to start fund for research for the cure, but not only for this one but for all cancer. No disease is more important than another which is why the details of my death shall not be shared.

I'm sure you are now wondering who shall take my place, and I have decided that too. My brother has shared with me long ago his distain for the title king, so I wish to respect his wishes and pass the crown, but to my youngest sibling, Princess Eleanor.

The country is in good hands and I leave you all with that.
-King Alexander I"

Once he finished reading, Prince Willard turned from the large podium at which he had spoken at and disappeared. No words would be spoken by the former princess, now Queen Eleanor.

"Well, that was quiet emotional." Sarah said as the camera turned back to her, "That seems to be all tonight, I'm Sarah Gilmart with Starliza Today and I wish all of Starliza, a goodnight through this tragic time."

The camera cut out and the screen switched back to the main office of Starliza today.
