Well McGonagall used to play until she got injured. So she should know all 700 fouls.
I'm pretty sure she'll be more than fine refereeing.

It's no big deal! Lee's the announcer so I'm sure he can make the crooked calls that'll save the game for us, right Lee?
You wouldn't mind, would you?
Hahaha! I don't mind stepping in as the referee.

But then I couldn't join George as a beater and send the Bludgers to Krum's face!

If you do that, then Fred will have to hit you. Speaking of which, Ravenclaw has a seeker, a beater, and I probably could make a decent chaser, so we may have the most balanced team. I'm sure we could find something for you two to do.
Or I could toss a ton of explosives at him. That'd be fun!

Wait. Are you talking about Draco as your seeker? You do realize that there is a good reason he got replaced? It had something to do with 'Viktor Krum'.

Tonks: captain and chaser
Parvati: chaser
George: beater
Lee: beater
Ron: keeper
Neville: seeker

An incredibly exemplary group.

Yeah, I was assuming that anyone in a house would be forbidden from being the referee due to possible bias.

I admit that Hufflepuff's defensive roster is incredibly threatening, but I don't think either Parvati or Neville have actually played Quidditch before, so unless you think Tonks can get all of your points for you, then you can't win if you don't score.

Defenses win championships, Ms. Hooch.

To be fair, newcomers have shown an ability to surprise us and hold their own on the pitch when called upon.

A certain HP and Ginny Weasley come to mind. And I'm sure you could think of a few others who were able to play decently well enough upon first entering the league.

Quidditch: a sport so easy, any schmuck can walk on the pitch and do it?

At a world class level where Victor Krum sits alone, probably not.

At the Hogwart's level, there's always a chance. And you've already passed the tryouts, so we already know you and Neville can handle a broom.

I don't think a schmuck walking on to the pitch would do much good, since the sport is kind of airborne.
