Well Howdy! Today I present to you, SynapticSim's Tesla Device! I came across this when I was making the containment tubes, so I figured, why not? It kinda reminds me of the device that Magneto used in the first X-Men film. It happens to be just the right size to put the containment tube in the center, so you'll see below where a trapped electro-powered soul is having the power zapped out of him. This was adapted from a free 3D Mesh by 3DLands called Tesla Generator Here. Converted and resized for The Sims 2 by me. ![]() ![]() ![]() It is a one tiled object for better use with OMSP's. You will find this object in Buy Mode under Decorative Objects in the Miscellaneous category. The cost is 2,000 Simoleans. You see, Mad Sciencing is expensive business! I wish I could say it was recolorable, but sadly, I don't think it is. I'm still having extreme difficulty in figuring that part out. If any of you know of any tutorials for that, please link me in the right direction. ![]() You MAY include this object in your uploads as long as credit is given to me, SynapticSim, and a link provided to either this thread or to SynapticSim's Lair. DO NOT UPLOAD TO THE SIMS 2 EXCHANGE OR TO PAYSITES!! Please Enjoy! And if you take pictures of the device in use, please send me a link because I'd love to see how you use it! You can also post them in this thread! ~ Syn |

Thank you very much for your amazing work. I had build a tesla transmitter (wireless power transmission to all the lots in the NH)several weeks ago,but it was not operational,as I had no core for it. ![]() Thanks to you,I could install it today. ![]() I doubled the volume of the core to the bottom with a 180 slot and added some electric-arc anims(sphere). ![]() Now power is online in the whole NH. |

Whoa! That was a cool idea, carolus. The lot looks pretty interesting and I am sure that it has an interesting story behind it. I am hoping that you will start another thread in the Lair's forum and tell us more about your work. |
